"I have not seen one post that was mean-spirited about Coach D. What I have seen is multiple posts of people attacking the athletic director, the administration, and CAK as an institution. Not to mention calling a particular parent out by name and making fun of them."

 

The parent being named was not bashful about going up to parents at basketball games and on campus to let

them know his dislike for Darden and that he WAS going to get rid of him. This WAS the fault of the athletic

director and the administration. NO one else can be blamed.

In an earlier post, I addressed the issue of not being able to go to administrators with problems and displeasures. I'm the one that has taught at CAK for 10+ years and worked with Johnny since he arrived at CAK.

Someone asked the reason we cannot go to the administration with our frustrations. Anything we say is

held against us and we eventually feel the repercussions of our words. CAK is changing quickly and I am sad to say, it is changing in a downward spiral. This change started around 9 months ago. Now, you can put the facts together and see who and where the change is coming from.

You also asked why I didn't leave CAK. Have you seen the job market lately??

Wake up parents! Your have invested your time, energy, and money in CAK. Do not let this fine institution be destroyed!

I cannot wait until Johnny Darden has finished his final hour at CAK in May. Then, he will be given the opportunity to speak to the media and tell the real story. Jesse, get your pen ready!

I just added up them numbers provided by Indiangiver. I wasn't just referring to the football, the baseball team has improved and both soccer teams have done very well. Since you seem to know the exact numbers, what was the overall record not just the district games over the past four years?

 

I heard today that they had 3 candidates in mind. Shane Wells from Lenoir City and the coach from Union County seem to be the frontrunners. Any one else heard anything?

 

I understand the AD was out of town at the end of the week due to a death in the family.

How do you know CAK has these coaches in mind??? This process supposed to be

confidential.

There was also a mention of the AD at CAK not making decisions. Just talk to any

faculty member or coach at CAK and they will tell you differently. The AD is running

the show! Too bad the AD is in the hip pocket a certain administrator and parents.

How do you guys know who has applied??? Applications are supposed to be

confidential!!!!

I have worked at CAK for 10+ years and have tought with Johnny Darden since his arrival at CAK. I can assure you the faculty is VERY upset with the actions taken in the past week by the board and administration. Why aren't we speaking up? We are afraid to! We are all wondering...will we be next?A fine Christian man who was known all over East Tennessee has been fired. We don't understand why. The man was doing his job with the little talent that he had to work with.I read that the administration talked to parents during games and heard their complaints about Coach Darden. Why was the administration not watching the game and Coach Darden? I understand that one administrator who was intricately involved in the firing decision was only at 1 game this year. I do realize the AD was in attendance most of the time but shouldn't he have been watching the game?I'm a teacher and I want to know: if parents complain about my teaching will you talk to those parents or will you observe my skills in the classroom? I can't help but wonder. Are you "cleaning house" in the athletic department or all of CAK? Seems to me that problems start at the top!!!! Maybe thats where the cleaning needs to start.

What is going on at CAK??? They hire a new Athletic Director this year and suddenly the coaches are leaving. Isn't it a mystery why there are all these sudden changes under the new AD? The state championship girls' soccer coach is leaving. The girls' basketball coach is leaving. An assistant baseball coach is leaving, and now the boys' basketball coach is asked to resign. Huh??? Other coaches and some teaches are planning to leave at the end of the year. Are we sure about the school's name....CHRISTIAN Academy of Knoxville????
