  1. She did not get out by choice the Ritchies and Kiper stabbed her in the back but I think it will come back and bite them somewhere

I think Coach Ritchie will do a great job. He has the knowledge and experience to get Bledsoe County over the hump and into contention for a serious tournament run. Greta did a great job, I just think it was time for a change in Pikeville. Good luck to both Greta and Coach Ritchie.

  2. Isn't Silver Eagles the ones who won ISA "B" WS. They are a "B" team that needs to come this way and get their education

Yep, that's us. We played as a B because we were a 1st year 14u team and we had not been to a series and didn't know what we were up against. We should have played A ball I guess, we just didn't know how good we were.

Also won the ISA State and SEAA State, and a 16/18U tournament. You mentioned the four 14U teams to beat, we've played one of the four several times and beat them several times. ASA Nationals is a goal for us this year, so some Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee teams will get to see the purple and siliver in 2010.

Where do we need to come get an education? We are looking for some fresh meat  .

No offense to the Silver Eagles, but the difference between B and Nationals is that in Nationals, you play the New York Yankees everygame. I can appreciate you're desire to play better competition, but I suggest "You look before you leap!" You're going to find that even the best B player can't serve water at the highest levels of ASA. But good luck anyway! And Chattanooga is where the education is being taught and you need to be playing there every week, not just once a summer.

  3. I totally agree the best 9 should play. I don't understand why you feel 4 years should be it. If an 8th grader is good enough to play up, why take a year away from the kid.

As most of you have witnessesed, there are several 8th graders out there that could start on any-sized school team. I'm not familiar with the rules that govern when and where an 8th grader can play up. I have mixed feelings on the 4 year limit. When you have a dominant 8th grader, I can't see keeping her down and suppressing her growth and developement. I also understand the maturity factor and putting her in an enviroment that may cause her to regress. In the end, I would probably let her play up.

  4. What are your thoughts on say 8th, 9th, even 10th graders playing over say 11th and 12th graders. For those that have had under classman playing up, what was the reactions from the older players & especially the parents attitudes?

The most talented player should play, period. The competition from younger players should only serve as motivation for the older players. Competition makes everyone better and should provide a warning to the less talented that reads: " Get your crap together or get crapped on!" :roflol:

  5. I think SC wins this game by 14. Yes York is bigger and more physical, but SC has way more speed plus it's a home game for them. It's really hard to go against a team that's playing on their home field during the playoffs. I think it will be a huge upset if York wins. SC's special teams is out of Yorks league as well. I don't believe it will be a blowout but it very easily could be if SC comes out and plays ball.

Honestly? I don't even think Alcoa is "out of their (York's) league". :thumb: It's HS football, anything can happen. Plus a huge upset? Like I said, HS football. York was 3 plays away from 10-0, home playoff spot, and a #1 ranking. I don't think this will be a huge upset WHEN York whens. . Speed right? York has at least 1 player I have never seen caught and they have corners, LBs, and even Lineman that can run 4.6-5's. And, granted that 44 and 2 has speed, what does it matter when they are getting hit at the line or behind it? They aren't power runners by any stretch of the imagination. 8.3 ppg allowed this year... I'll take my chances with York. I see York with this one by at least 14. They won't be stopped if they play like they did last week. It's gonna be a rough game... and I can't wait. Good luck to both teams. Drive safe Amish Nation

Alcoa not out of York's league? You guys need to come off the mountain every now and again! They would WAX both York or SC by 48. I'm all for supporting the local team, but COME ON!

  6. It seems that pitchers get all of the glory. Who are some of the states best high school catchers and do we have any that are big time college prospects?

I will jump in and say All-State Sequatchie County senior Chelsey Burgess. She is a great defensive catcher with a great arm. Offensively, she has power and speed and if you need the clutch hit, Burgess is the one you want up to bat. She is so athletic, she can play any position on the field. I'm sure they're others out there, lets hear about them! :roflol:

  7. The team just lost focus when all of the flags started flying. If they were to play again, i would put my money on the chargers. I honestly think that the chargers can defeat polk if they was to get a second chance. The best part is that the chargers can have that chance assuming they both win first and second round of playoffs.

Ya'll won't get another chance at Polk this year. Surely you aren't too drunk on your blue kool-aid to think ya'll can beat Alcoa.

As a matter of fact, Central won't have a chance at Polk for what appears to be a long, long time. :roflol:

I must be swimming in blue kool-aid because i truly think the chargers can beat Alcoa and make it to the third round. Really it will be tough for either team to make it to third round.

Its not Kool-Aid, Charger is hitting the crack pipe too hard, ain't nobody beating Alcoa. Lay off the pipe til Friday!

  8. just heard that Bledsoe's football Stadium was trashed last night.....painted all over the stands, field house, travel trailor...pretty much everything. now it all has to be cleaned up before the game friday night. This is sad, but our team, staff and fans will be ready i'm sure....work hard this week WARRIORS....we are PROUD of you........GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to hear that your stadium and facilities were vandalized. Don't let it become a distraction for the boys this week and beat the crap out of these overconfident Loudon folks! There's at least one from down the valley pulling for Bledsoe.

  9. York will be an extremely tough opponent. Sequatchie will have to control the line of scrimmage and hold on to the ball. From speaking to several folks up on the "plateau", York and Sequatchie will be one of them most evenly-matched games in the playoffs. Good luck to both teams but I'll take the home field advantage (-3) and say the Indians 24-21.

  10. Seq. co s hould ask smith county their already crying about being in the same bracket as us. York has a more all around team then seqco does I think. From what I heard about their last game they were shy about hiting . All I have to say York kids like to knock heads off.:flower:

"Shy about hitting?" I bet you feel differently after the game.

  11. To the HOMERS of both sides, enjoy this friday night, win or lose.... Prepare hard for the 1st round of the playoffs and then start the long vacation that is Winter..... We are both proud and above-average teams, but we couldn't combine McMinn and Sequatchie and play on the same field as Alcoa! :roflol:

  12. With the rain and a wet field and our great D I am stating a fact that Polk's D will hold south Pit to under 7 points!Mark it down! Those "Athletes" and "Speed Demons" can not run if they can't keep their feet! Wildcats all the way!!!

I'd like to call Vegas and put a G down that Polk can't keep South Pitt to under 7. I know Polk has a good team, but let's not get too crazy now. S.Pitt 21 Polk 17 :roflol:

  13. Another mercy rule for the Bucs! With the way your offense has been lighting up the scoreboard, you should have no problems this week! I usually don't make bold predictions, but I'll say the defense throws another shutout.

    BB 73 - Bye 0!

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to next weeks game. Yeah, Boyd may have a bye week, but the way it sounds, so does SP. I just hope neither team has some "fluky" type injury to a key player before the show down.

I dont know seven....Open has never lost a game :(

Im picking the Bye by a field goal!

  14. Regardless of who both teams have played, it will mean absolutely nothing come Friday night. This will be a hard-fought game on both sides as usual. Bledsoe obviously has a talented team. No matter if their opponents weren't highly ranked, they took care of their business. Thats what you're supposed to do. In the end, I think Sequatchie's quarterback and place kicker will be the difference. Seq Co. 34 Bledsoe 24. Good luck to both teams.

  15. haha its so funny how sequatchie is in prob the worst region in the state :roflolk: sequatchie is doing good this year yes dont take anything away from them. but remember yall beat a beat up marion team with 5 starters out and only one bye 7 yall played a hek of a game im not putting sequatchie down yall worked hard and got the win over us hands down but i think if marion has all the starters it might be different. it will show when we beat signal cause we have everybody back. the coaching staff my dad always talked about a coach that coached maybe the early 90s im not sure of his name and our coachs always said the coach from 2004 and 05 was really good our coachs said he was hard to talk too but was a really good coach what ever happen to that guy? sequatchie walks threw the region its too easy i got sequatchie 21-6 goodluck

I hope the five starters that Marion gets back can defend the pass better than the kids they had out there friday night, because if Marion had trouble defending our passing attack, good luck with Signals. I will be pulling for Marion, but I don't believe they can go toe to toe with Signal on offense. Signal 35-21

  16. I just wish our Quarterback had a faster 40 time! :| I know it's still early in the season but he has really impressed me with the way he has run the offense and made plays even with how he has done on the defensive side of the ball!

    Chief,

Where do you see the badmouthing? Sequatchie was just wishing! I wish he was faster too! along with wishing he was 6'3, 220 lbs. Nothing derogatory about wishing. But what do I know? I'm an idiot!

  17. I know everyone thinks my last post here was rude and I was being mean but I wasn't!My point has been proven! The whole Sequatchie Co. team for the last two games has played as a "TEAM" with one mind on the same page! They look AWSOME!!!It seems that everything I said that offended so many has been corrected and look what a diffrence from week 1 til now.(CROWD NOISE IS A MUST)Did anyone notice how fired up everyone on the sidelines was (Coaches,Players, even Bill was excited)? That is the kind of support that can help this team to go all the way.We may have lost two games but last night was as good as a win when our boys were not only playing Signal but the officals also.Like I said before SEQUATCHIE ALWAYS GETS DONE WRONG BY THE OFFICALS.Someone is gonna have to buck up to the TSSAA officals or board to make them call it fair (send game tapes to the board) if they continue to let these teams get away with face mask and such someone may really get hurt. All the players are showing how much heart they have by playing together from the time the ball is snapped til after the whistle is blowed that is what it takes. If they continue to play with this intensity and intimidation they will go far.Now don't try to say I am only happy when they play well and gripe when they do bad I have always said we have a good team we just needed to make some improvements and find our intensity to become the "GREAT" team we can be.I was only trying to help out by giving an outsiders view no one seemed to like it but from my seat in the stands somthing got everyone fired up.

    Three quick points:

    1. It wasn't you that changed the intensity

    2. The TSSAA could care less

and 3. Please locate the space bar on your computer and use it.

  18. S Pittsburgh doesn't know what is coming to them!!! Signal Mtn is going to be the biggest story of this year's high school football season after we go undefeated and embarrass a bunch of fools!! I hope SP thinks Signal has no chance in this game... come in overconfident... Signal will WIN!

Like the song goes: " You don't pull on Superman's cape! " Pittsburg by 30. and I don't have a dog in the fight.
