Gibbs is startin to heat up after their early 2 losses to Seymour but Seymour has the upperhand on confidence here it will be interesting to see who each team pitches with the region semis days later

Even if Farragut's bracket would have been better they would have still won more game then Gibbs. I mean Gibbs got handled in 3 games. And if Im not mistaken Farragut is nationally ranked, while Gibbs is struggling in their own district. Willis wouldnt even get any playing time down here at the F.

Pheifer would no-hit that weak gibbs line up and willis would probably be making an early exit due to the powerful farragut offense. GO admirals!

Willis is not on the same level as Pheifer although he is very good. Phil sat down 16 at state and won the state title game. What was willis's performance like at state, not half as good as my boy Phil. I mean Im not just saying this because he is my friend, its the truth.

Owenby (2-1) has not allowed an earned run in 3 games, Slagle (1-0) beat Anderson Co., and Skeen is batting in the 3-hole as the DH. Powell (9-1) also starts 3 sophs and 2 juniors.

This group of freshman are good but not great they still have a lot to learn about high school baseball

Gibbs has an outstanding performer this year...he goes by the name Biggy Big. His real name is Brenton Bates. Bates has been doing great this year. He has hit 4 already and he is still on the run. He helped get the Eagles started with his homer in the 2nd inning over the key win at Fulton. I see great comings for Brenton and he should do great in his future!

this kid is startin to heat up sound like it. i heard he is goin to be the key in the lineup for them to get back to state without the senior they lost this year.

I heard sophomore Lucas Schropshier and Brenton Bates turned in very good pitching performances to get the eagles the win in Game 2. They overcame a late error to get the win in 8 innings.

Both came up huge when they were needing outs very young team looks like they might be coming around

Willis threw a complete game Gibbs was in control from the start looks like they are startin to come together very young team they are very streaky though

but at the same time batdog.....they lost there own tournament to a local team...thats embarassing. what happened?? thats horrible. they got NO HIT by a SOPHOMORE making his second start....pitiful.

Perfect point how do u get no hit by a sophmore that had only pitched 1 other variety game that is awful if u ask me their lineup must not be producing as much as people thought they would pretty sad when u can't win your own tourney

They are facing off at 5 o clock at Gibbs. both teams have their strong points. Justin Willis for Gibbs is throwing very well right now. Carter also has a lefty Matthew Parsons which beat Seymour a little while back. Although, word is Willis and Parsons will not be facing off with each other. Neither teams are the best at hitting but Gibbs is starting to see the ball and stroking it well. Tomorrow night should be a close match up but my bet goes to Willis for the win.

Yes huge game fightin for 2nd in the district word is out that carter isn't pitchin parsons cuz they don't want to waste him and them get beat tomorrow night huge matchup this one goes to Gibbs with the underclassmen steppin up this game

i think that independence is the most overated team in this district they cant win big games and are giving a lot more credit than they deserve i mean come on have they even made it out of their own region no! so you have to give this district to either franklin or overton. both have been there before and independence will crack under pressure look for them to have an earlier exit in the tourney just like last year...

...umm i dont get how you say you see 83 and over every game in double A... thats dumb.. soooo dumb. Pryor from harriman? please... my team has beat harriman 4 times in the last 2 years.. And i played with johnston last summer. Hes a good pitcher, but when we played at smokies park.. he was toppin out at 73.. hardly over 83. 3 hrs is 3 hrs... i played against the grace shortstop i was impressed. GRACE not good.. but he was. SO just stop talking.. cause what you say is just not smart whatsoever in any way.. We play teams from all divisions... double A teams arent that great.. Dont put them on a pedastool.
