  1. I forgot to mention, the third place team was not beaten by "like 4", either. The third place team had also beaten them. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Oh how things change "NOTLIVINSOWELL" Sounds like the ol bitter pill is eating you alive!!!!! If memory serves me correctly you did not have a problem with this young lady until you threw your little "hissy fit" and pulled your daughters in the middle of a tournament..... Maybe that was someone else, but I am pretty sure it was you ol' Mr. W

    /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> DON"T LET THE GREEN EYED MONSTER EAT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. They have to go through your favorite team first. Will they??? /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

That is a GREAT question .... Wish I had an answer for ya on that one! As I said ANYTHING is possible /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  3. They will not be in District 9AAA any longer, after their two losses in the District 9AAA Tourney this week.

They'll have to learn how to beat Riverdale, siegel, and Blackman from there on out. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Not so fast there "Horseboy" this year in softball ANYTHING is possible /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  4. CoachCap, I figured you and lifetbear would know Smyrna's coach "Shep" pretty good.....last yr when they came to WC for a game, I heard a few bad things about him from past days(nothing specific, momma's just didnt like him) as they say he used to coach in the MJ area...Rec league maybe? before my short time here....

Good coach, and a good person will do well in time. Hope he sticks with it

  5. You give this school 2-3 years and they will be contending with the leaders in District 9AAA. They have some athletes on this team. If their pitchers develope and the coach puts his talent where they should be playing instead of where they want to be they could be giving folks fits now. Don't know the coach well but I can see he's giving alot of himself on the field, he just likely needs some time and experience to get it together. Dist. 9 is one of the toughest in the state. I don't want to beat a dead horse, I see hope for this program.

Think you are dead on Coach within a few years they will be contenders! Time and patience...

  6. They are in it to have fun. Not many of their players have any intentions of carrying softball past high school. So for now it gives them something to do and keeps them out of trouble. They are having a good time just with the fellowship.

That's great... Not like they are going to turn pro anyway, think anything they can do to stay out of trouble is a good thing! Being part of a team prepares you for many things in life.

  7. I is a WC fan and I don't think they are dat bad. I do think that softball is not a priority at the school. I do not know dis as fact...I just guessing. Your girls basketball is big time, your football is big time and your baseball is great as well.

I do not know if it is coaching. But I would think not. I think it is young ladies starting at young ages dedicating dem selves to the game of softball and stickin wit it. You get enough girls do dat and Smyrna will be on da road to big success. The other thing is District 9. You is in "one tough" district.

    Thank you /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

My understanding is the only feeder programs they have are slow-pitch. Just recently started a fast=pitch league.

  8. Thanks, NiceGuy.....she needs a little time on your and MrNoItAll"s couch!

POOR KIDS....Tonite, I can sleep with both eyes shut..hehehehe

5th assistant coach in 4years.... Enough said

  9. names don't matter on these boards............you must not know it all........as MRNOItAll says... take a Happy Pill........

But you do have a sportsmanship problem......if you can't see it....you must be teachin it !

Names don't matter in the Bear Den either when it comes to assistant coaches. 5 in 4 years? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  10. "Lifetimebear" (Costly) We'll leave the spelling to you. You leave the coaching analysis to someone who actually knows how to coach. You couldn't coach your way out of a paper bag. You can't keep a team together. Between you and your spouse you know everything so why do we bother. You talk behind everyones back even when they are your friends and this board is no different.

The point to all this is that you have no room to throw the first stone. Fix yourself. There's more than enough to work on!!!!!!!!!!

Coach myself out of a wet paper bag? As I stated previously NOT a coach, or Teacher. You will have to do better than that raeBJM /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> You will know who I am in due time, but the time has to be right.

  11. Thanks for clarifying that. This post was getting so confusing. When a person agrees to take on the job of head coach they must realize there are a lot of responsibilities and duties that go along with that job. It is not all about teaching softball fundamentals or making split second decisions on base running or calling pitches, etc. There is a lot of emotional and psychological stuff going on and dealing with 20 players on a one on one basis each day and handling parents and school administration and umpires etc. It takes a special person to do this and if they are not doing it for the right reason (love of the girls and love of the game) they need to get out. I am not directing this at any coach, I don't even know the Mt Juliet coach. It is not about coaches, teams, schools or parents getting glory, it is about molding girls into responsible, respectful, successful adults and having fun in the process. So, lets all focus on that. The old saying goes, "It is not whether you win or lose that is important, but how you play the game." I know everyone wants to win, but there is a lot of truth in that statement.

Trublu, I think you said it all. Thank you!

  12. I'm still waiting to learn what exactly you saw in Morristown... crickets chirping...

What school is it that teaches multiple question marks and exclamations make your statement or question more meaningful? I'm beginning to wonder if you're not really a high school student yourself because that's what my high school kids do.

But to your question, because unlike you I will address your question, it is not a high school coaches responsibility to teach a child sportsmanship. You, the parent, are solely responsible for that. If a coach happens to exhibit poor sportsmanship you can certainly point that out to your child or even talk to the coach about it but sportsmanship is subjective. No two people could agree 100% on what is or is not good/bad sportsmanship. Having said all of that, there is not another coach I would rather my daughters play for than Coach Pedigo. I know you will disagree but we all know you have an agenda. I guess I can't just bite my tongue and ignore you like they can. I'm telling you now that I'm not replying to any more of your rantings, we (or at least I) will have to agree to disagree on this one. But if you are truly a "lifetimebear" then support your coach or shut up because a true fan of the school would do nothing more or less.

btw, I am the self admitted world's worst speller. Sorry you are so offended that I misspelled kindergarten, I hope it didn't tramatize you.

FP Dad, there is no sin in being ignorant the sin is in being proud you are ignorant. If ignorant people never talk (or type) then the whole world will never know. I guess the high school coaches job is to run the kids in the ground teach them to act like a fool if they lose, and that grades don't matter during softball season. You did not specifically say that, but its pretty much what you implied. I am starting to think that you are probably the one who served my kids their Happy Meal last night with all the smarts you display. You are a real brilliant one fastpitchdad. By the way that would be "traumatized" if you will let me know where you live I don't mind picking you up on my way to school so we can get you away from those Golden Arches. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  13. Tell me "lifetimebear", exactly what did you see in Morristown? Details please.

The MJ program will be fine once it's rid of a few parents who think they know it all and tell their girls what to think instead of letting them think for themselves. I know for a fact there are at least two girls on the team who do not want to play softball anymore but are being pushed by their parents to continue. Are you one of those parents or is your daughter even on the team? Of course if she is and if you really have two degrees (assuming they are more than just kindergarden and 6th grade), then you know the importance of teaching our youth to make good decisions and to think for themselves, right?

Parents need to be supportive and not destructive. That's something else you should have learned in all of that advanced education.

Good one Fastpitchdad... Kindergarten not "garden" maybe you should go back to school or invest in some hooked on phonics... The importance of teaching our youth to make good decisions??? You must be kidding, leaving trophies in the parking lot, acting like a kid who just got their popsicle stolen because they came in second is that teaching them to make good decisions?? Acccept the trophy go back and work and get better! Don't leave it in the parking lot or just refuse to accept that's really teaching Class.... Maybe when I go back and get my Phd I will let you tag along with me, if nothing else you might learn how to use spellcheck /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  14. We have played Mt Juliet twice this year and I didn't notice any bad sportsmanship by the players. I think all teams have their ups and downs and some games are played with more emotion than others. I think we all have to remember we are all only human and sometimes we don't always react perfectly in an intense situation. Give the girls a break. I am sure they are working hard and it sounds like there are some pretty high expectations of them. Give them time to grow. Sometimes disappointment is hard to hide (even in adults).

Did I miss something???? Did someone mention the girls? I think it all falls on the leadership of the girls or in this case LACK OF LEADERSHIP!!! I don't think the girls made the decision to leave the trophy in the parking lot at CC last year.. If memory serves me correctly it was one of the players who had to retrieve the trophy at Clarksville tournament this year because the coach did not want to accept the 2nd place trophy... Nobody really mentioned the girls other than the talking smack while slapping hands after the game, and that too my friend could easily be corrected with the right leadership! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

  15. I was in Morristown and watched every game MJ played. There was no poor sportsmanship that I saw or heard. I too want to hear specifics. I'm waiting...

As for you "lifetimebear," i think you have to have a degree of some sort to be a coach so go back to school and graduate or give it up. Or better yet, apply for the Central job if it's really coming open.

Fastpitchdad you need to get your head out of the sand... You can't sugar coat this one, it is what it is. Thank you for the advice I have a degree actually 2 of them, have no desire to teach or coach for that matter, but I do have a desire to see people do things right and that is definitely not happening with this program. As for specifics if you were at the Morristown tournament you don't need specifics... Maybe Central will take you and her both /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  16. yes, the devils did have a good game. congratulations. but whomever lifetimebear is needs to stop ridiculing these girls. They have worked their butts off to be on this team, and to be playing. They have been dedicated to the team, and have worked through all the rough times. Not one of them has giving up yet, and hopefully dont plan too. This critisicm needs to stop. It is only hurting the team and the program. If you have a problem with the program take it up with Pedigo. Don't try to act like your all bad because you can trash talk through a website. If you have a problem with the program come forth and show yourself instead of being weak and hiding. But STOP talking about these girls. They deserve to be here and not to be critisiced. They have spent much of their effort and time for this team. something you CANT say for yourself.

No body is criticising the girls... By the way there is a spell check on here (critisiced???) All I am saying is with a good leader this team could be sooooooo much better!!! Not only could they be better ball players they could be better sports!! The Coach wants the game to be all about HER not about the girls... She wants to be seen and heard at all times except when she is losing!!! If I was a coach, and believed what I was doing was right I would keep doing it WIN or LOSE... Not the case with this so called Coach!!! Gets awful quiet in the Bear Den when they are losing, not her usual obnoxious self... Like they say when the chips are down true personalities start to show.... By the way what was the stunt she pulled in Morristown last weekend???? Not sure I will be able to let my kid stick around after that stunt, really makes me question her integrity!

  17. Lavergne beats Mj 8 to 2!!!!! I know Mj is young, but give me a break.... This is an all new LOW for this program as if the mediocre showing in the Morristown rec league tournament last weekend wasn't bad enough /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

  18. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Be real careful snitches. Your identity isn't always kept secret and soon everyone knows who you are. Enjoy your "secret" calls to TSSAA while they last. If you can't beat the ladies and coaches on the field, be "man" enough to stand up on your own without crying to TSSAA. Rules are rules and must/will be enforced, but I guess some will stoop to just about anything to win. GOTCHA! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Not that I agree with a snitch, but seems the best way to stop one is to not do anything they can snitch about... Just my thoughts /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  19. Game #2 - Beech 13 H'ville 0 - Final in 4 1/2 innings!!!!!!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Enough Said!!!!!!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Does that clinch the district for Beech? When is the next Beech v WC game?
