I don't know many but I know of a few that goes there.. However, I know one by the name of Bernard Walker, he say he's going to be the starting QB next year. I know he's just talking out of his rear but I'm just asking will he see the field this year? He wears my cousin old number #4, so I told him he better wear that number and then be a lame player. My cousin played in the early 90's he was on a team with Rudy and your head coach Matt Lowe.
Next player is Andre Coffer..... You know his daddy and uncle was outstanding players at Rule therefore football runs his blood will he see the field this year?
I remember your cousin. His last name was Clark and he would come and stop by sometimes back when I played. He was a great OLB and RB on the undefeated 90 team and championship game team in 91.

I really hope that Duncan does well. This program needs a jolt to the arm.
Now, I wasn't initially on board with the hire at first. I was kinda skeptical about it to be honest.
Then, I thought about it a little more. Duncan did take Powell to a state title game in 1991. Duncan had a lot of good success there at Powell. But, him being out of the game for 17 years does concern me a little. The game, even at the high school level has evolved by leaps and bounds. If he can adapt to the modern, post-2000's game, he'll be a pretty darn good coach for the Kees.
I've been a Powell fan my whole life and in the early 90's, Powell had some great teams, although most of the players weren't zoned to go to school at Powell. Powell was horrid when he took over though in the mid 80's and he did a nice job building the team up, but I feel like the recruiting put Powell over Austin East, Alcoa and some of the other tough AA teams back then. One big difference between his rebuilding job then and now is that when he took over at Powell, he was 28 and he is taking over at South Doyle at 50. I did find it kinda ironic how he loaded up the schedule with some weaker out of district opponents for his last two seasons at Powell. It was widely speculated that his last year at Powell would be the same year his daughter graduated.

Did Tim Hammontree apply?
I think he would be a great fit at Cleveland. I know that he applied at Powell after Larry Stephens resigned in 2005, so I wouldn't be surprised if he applied with Cleveland.

I think that after talking to him,I really believe it is more out of desire and some "unfinished" business.
I wouldn't doubt that for a second. Aside from when they play Powell, I wish him the best. I've known Coach Duncan since 1986 and played for him from 97-00 at Powell. I disagree with some of the things that he did or how he managed the program, but I think he will help South Doyle improve

Can anyone tell me the final record for the 1992 Halls team? Thanks
They had a great midseason game against Powell, which Halls won 25-22 in Overtime. Powell got the ball first and fumbled at the goal line, then Halls kicked a FG. Powell was AA and went to the Semifinals and so did Halls for AAA.

That's pretty interesting. I moved away from the area back in 2002, but grew up in Powell, played Football all four years at PHS and graduated in 01.
I always wanted them to move the band bleachers and put permanant seating behind one the goal posts
South Doyle

Their first regular season game is August 21st against Powell. Imagine that, seeing as how Clark coached there for so long....
