It's gonna be a long night this Friday if SC plays like they did against Gville, especially in the secondary. #27 needs to come out and make a statement this week cause I can guarantee after watching last weeks film LA knows who they are gonna come out and pick on. Gville's strong suit is their line so hopefully this week there will be more pressure on McCoin than there was on Watson in passing situations. If SC can get #25 going early and can prevent the big play on defense I see them winning this one by 10+

FNL, A rule is a rule whether me and you like it or not. Once again Gville showed a lack of discipline by throwing the ball after a score when they could have dropped it or tossed it back to the ref. #7 knew good and well he could possibly be flagged for what he did and if he didn't know that's awful coaching on your staffs part.
-
On the unsportsmanlike call #7 threw the ball into the ground(not spiked) after the touchdown run, it took a nice good hop and hit the ref resulting in the yellow hanky. Good call just an unfortunate bounce for Gville.

If Gordonsville plays Friday like they did tonight, they'll win by three scores.

TIGERS WIN

All I'm saying is he did not stand out in film. However, well see how he stands up with our hogs in the trenches tomorrow night.
#53(Coen) lined up against our(Smith County's) hogs who average 292lbs across the O-line and whipped them repeatedly all night. Coen is a force to be reckoned with and will wreak havoc in your backfield all night tomorrow night.
Good luck G-ville from the other side of the river.

Oh I didn't forget you. I know! 70s were pretty good. Barack, good to see you not only can damper the spirits of Americans, but the LA faithful as well! No wonder you won't make it a second term.
+1 for you sir!

Pro I & Gun on offense
4-3 on defense
They are as basic as you'll find.
Basic as you will find but they run it extremely well!
-
I'll be more than happy to do so. Like I said last Saturday on this topic "Good Luck to the Indians".
I am not missing the halftime performance of the always entertaining Pearl-Cohn Band
Don't get too excited howdy they didn't even play at halftime last week.
-
They might be the better team, but I'm just happy my team is still playing and I just love playoff football. If Harpeth loses they still had a great season
Ok, now that you have made some sense congratulations to Harpeth on their season and advancing to round 2.

I'm delusional? I do believe you fall under that catergory.... State Championship
Smith County-24
Alcoa-21 :roflol:
There was more of a chance of this happening than you guys beating PC this Friday night.
-
Couldn't swear on it, but I don't think he's a player unless he's posting from school, which is possible but not likely.
Ah good point. I didn't factor in the school thing but with the way cell phones are now he very well could be in the middle of class on here right now.
-
I was thinking the same thing about your post
Oh and matter of fact yes... Harpeth will win
Man you are delusional I swear on it. I also think you are a member of this team, not someone who played in '97.
-
You should know since you didn't And to make it worse you predicted SC for the championship game so nuff said. Your opinion means nothing
I don't believe you were an 8 Seed in '09 and the score was not 20-14 try 20-10. As I stated earlier had we beaten PC we had a legit shot at playing in the State Championship and our 2nd round game would have been easier than the first.
-
Hold on blackandgoldforlife:
Harpeth is in the second round and Smith County isn't. Haven't you heard? You aren't allowed to have an opinion because Harpeth is still playing and your team is finished. Read the last 3 pages for more info on that argument
Harpeth is in the second round. That makes them #1 in the county and #1 in District 11-AA. The regular season matchups mean nothing anymore
Oh I have read the entire thing Howdy, and I back you 100%. Seems these people from Harpeth believe since they managed to make it to the 2nd round we should give them the gold now. Need I remind you Harpeth folks what happened last time you advanced to round 2?
-
Yeah you also picked Smith County for the state championship game
Yes I know I did. I don't regret it at all. Had they not lost to PC 20-14 they'd be steam rolling your little Injuns this week and had a legit shot at playing in Cookeville Dec. 2. Harpeth has no shot at that happening because PC is going to deliver a beatdown on them this Friday. I wasn't hear to troll this thread but you have brought it out in me. I only wanted to voice my opinion on this game.
-
I graduated from Harpeth in 1997 and a former player for our undefeated team back in "97... I seen post like this last week on how Sequatchie Co. had more speed then Harpeth and they were going to beat us by 21 hahaha what a joke... I went to the game last week and we were the team with more speed and Harpeth was the more physical team even though Sequatchie had the bigger boys...Good luck on your prediction but my boys will beat PC in front of a huge home crowd.
Easy there bud. I picked you guys to beat Sequatchie last week(don't believe me then go to the 3A playoff bracket competition thread). This week though is a different story, you won't be more physical than PC and you won't have more speed than PC. That big home crowd you are talking about will be quite disappointed come Friday evening cause PC rolls easily in this one.
-
I don't believe Harpeth can play with PC and look for PC to win this one by 3+ TDs.
-
Congrats to PC on the victory you guys are a very good team and I hope you continue to win in the playoffs. Now to SC, great year with a very tough ending. 10-1 is nothing to hang your head on. I know from experience it will be a tough few days and even weeks for the Owls seniors. Looking forward to seeing what #25 and #8 can do next year as they will once again have to be the play makers for SC.

This is not intended as a jab at Gville folks but they said the same thing all week last week about Coen, but when game time rolled around he was nearly non existent except a few plays here and there. I distinctly remember #64 of SC whipping him and driving him 5-8 yards off the ball multiple times. All I am saying is lets watch the game Friday be fire we come to the conclusion of the best OL/DL in this game.
