    And a half a month late /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  2. These may be the top 4 teams in the state next year!

But only two will make it out of the district.

I dont think so. I agree with bearden, faragut but i know ravenwood, hendersonville, and brentwood will still be really strong from the middle. The west still is looking weak

  3. Hendersonville is nothing special and neither is brentwood if father ryan isnt. Farragut i havent seen play so all i have to compare to them is their loss to CAK.

Im guessing thewall92 is a father ryan player...Im not saying you have a bad team, you have a good time...I watched your team play against Jp2, Number 7 I believe up top. Smaller african american guy, he was the only threat i sensed on the team. The play was very direct. There was a lack of midfield, especially the middle. Good team, thats just my thoughts.

I got to see part of the Christian Brothers final match and they were VERY talented. A couple of college coaches who were watching said the same thing...

I saw you guys play against Station Camp, G you guys have a great team. The 8th graders were great. keep it up!

  4. Father Ryan defeated both Hendersonville and Brentwood during the season this year 1-0 and 2-0 respectively

    Christian Brothers beat Hendersonville 2-0

CAK beat Farragut during the season 2-1

CAK also beat Beardon 1-0 in preseason

Based on matchups alone it seems overwhelmingly in D2 and A/AA's favor

I was at the Cak Farragut game..Overall Farragut was more talented in my opinion, yet cak played well.

I also viewed the Cak Hendersonville game again CAk won, yet i though hendersonville was the better team.

I do agree on the christian brothers. They are the best team in this state, no arguement there.

Father Ryan wasn't anything special. They had a little forward up top, thats all i saw.

  5. What are your predictions for next year?

Who are the teams to beat?

    Farragut-Returning 9 starters

Brentwood/bearden/riverdale/ravenwood/clarksville/west-All look pretty good for next year

    Hows hendersonville looking?

I know they lost some seniors

What do you think will happen?

  6. think ravenwood has some players that need to be in this. while they got beat 1-0 in substate to hendersonville they had a very good year and if 2 of there key starters hadn't picked up concussions (hospitalized) a week before playoffs things may have been different. mcguinness and saunders weren't the same afterwards but were definite standouts before it happened.

    will linder, center mid

    brandon saunders, center mid

    andrew mcguinness, forward

I think it would have turned out the same honestly. While, Yes, they were a good team, but brentwood was overall stronger. I dont think they could have beaten brentwood. And that means beating Hendersonville in substate, which i dont think could have been done either. In my opinion Farragut/Hendersonville was state championship game. The winner of that game took it all.

  7. 6 minutes in, Grieco throw-in header to cross bar, Stinton heads in rebound.. 15 mins in, another Grieco throw-in, Kllarner puts one in off of rebound. 2-0 half, all Farragut.

Final 2-0. Brentwood never really put anything constructive, resorting to long ball. Difficult to be successful with Muth, Wayman and Stinton controlling 90% of balls in air. Matlock had to make only one real save opportunity, rest cleared away by back-line.

Defense really stepped it up this tourney. No team scored on them trough District, Regions, Sub-States and States (I'm told the Mo West was an own goal).

TSSAA should rethink the "blind-draw" approach. Farragut played the toughest opponent in first round, followed by the 5th rank team in nation. Beat the best to claim the title is always good, but makes for an upside down draw.

    Congrats Admirals, job well done!

Okay, its driving me crazy that everyone is saying that Clevland is the fifth best team in the nation. I watched them play against kingsbury, they are not top five in tennessee, let alone the nation. Farragut, Bearden, Hendersonville, Brentwood, Ravenwood, any of those team would take care of them. Their schedule was nothing special. They are a great team, but not close to nationally ranked.

  8. I don't know about Independence being as high as you have them. From seeing them several times this year, I didn't see any obvious offensive threats besides their leading goal scorer Chad Roberts (senior). I tend to think that their defense will be very solid but their offense may hold them up next year. I'd also have to think Brentwood will continue to be a strong team next year. They have both starting forwards returning, will have a strong returning defense, and have the tradition of being a top team as well. I like that you have Ravenwood up there. They have both starting center mids returning in addition to a strong upcoming junior class that should make a big impact next season.

Yeah, i do not know too much about independance, i just heard that they were really young, i guess im wrong

  9. 1. Farragut-Great team, proved it in first round of state, as well as regular season.

    2. Hendersonville-Hardest schedule i have ever seen in my life, undeafeated in AAA, I honestly picked this team to win before the season seeing their schedule, but got beat by a very good farragut team.

    3. Brentwood-Made it to finals despite it being a "rebuilding year" (maybe #2, depends what i see tommorow against farragut)

    4.Bearden-Great team

    5. Ravenwood-Despite being defeated by Hendersonville in Substate, great team, played hearts out.

    6. Clevland- Good team, I dont believe they are "nationally ranked", but good team

    7. Kingsbury

    8. Lavergne

    9. Clarksville

    8. Maryville

    9. knox west

    10. Riverdale

    Let Downs-

Independance- #1 rank in preseason, didn't make it very far.

  10. Anyone have any details on this game? Sounds like it was an intense one.

well i got to witness this game as a neutral observer, and this one played out just like the estimated guesses as a close and back and forth game. Farragut came out a little stronger in the first, had more opportunitys, yet hendersonville was a differant team in the second. Farragut scored on a free kick from fourty, which seemed like utter confusion from the ref, as well as hendersonville. A player was taken down around the fourty, farragut quickly sent a through ball in the box and had a break away and finished. There were calls for "offsides" and the "Ball was still moving" Yet i couldn't tell from my angle. In the second, Hendersonville pressured more and found 3 or 4 quality chances they couldnt put away. In conclusion farragut held on. Overall it seemed there was equal talent, yet if i had to give it to one or the other, i would give it to hendersonville by a very slight margin. Speed was a big factor, farragut was one of the fastest teams i have seen yet, hendersonville had some wheels also, yet farragut had that one. Farragut also had a big boy in the middle win a lot of 50/50s.

I couldnt say that the better team won, because in my opinion they were neck and neck, i couldnt give it to either team. But what i can say was that "This was the State Championship"
