I hope you're correct,,, but you never know.
Give us a summary of Squatchie... Do they run it, throw it, are they big, fast, players to watch, etc..
If they are like every other KC coached team , they will run the veer option.

If he had continued as a head coach it would be in the 350 range.
There is no doubt that KC is a hall of fame worthy coach. With that being said the Indians will lose in Benton by 2+ touchdowns on Friday.

The last minute was crazy. My hats off to Bradley for fighting till the last whistle and congrats on the big win to my Alma Mater.

Polk is more dominant than I expected. I hope they don't tire out late
Depth is our weakness, but Bradley's offense just can't move the ball.

Polk 14 Bradley 0 in the 2nd.

Polk County and Bradley Central are tied 0-0 in the 2nd
Its Polk 7 Bradley 0 in the 2nd.

Well this is a little off the subject but me and my wife just welcomed twin boys into the world on thursday. We could use some prayers they was born at 33 weeks so they got to be in the NICU for a little bit since their lungs aren't fully developed but they are doing good. I hope Coach Davis sticks around so he can coach my boys like he did me and my brother. Their names are Hayden and Hunter thats CoachT world. Sorry for any spelling errors just really tired lol.
Congrats Blaster and I will keep your family in my prayers.

He was a very good player i wish he would come back....im sure the real question is will Davis take him back...i hope so we need him in 2013
Coach Davis will let him come back, if the young man in question is willing do to what is required to earn his way back on the team. If he isn't willing to do that then to put it bluntly the team is better off without him. I think is a good player, but good players have quit before and Davis has always found a way to replace them.

Cleveland plays Cookeville, at Cookeville, on August 30th.
Polk goes to Chattanooga Central on August 30th.
The Purple Pounders had already said they wanted out of this match-up, seems like August 30th Cleveland vs Polk would have benefited everyone involved!!
Thats what I was thinking. Why travel to Cookeville or Harrison when a big money game for both schools was there for the taking. It just doesn't make sense.

I look for WV to continue to improve, and I agree with the statement above that their next step is to win against a team they are not expected to beat.
On a related note glad to see that Polk will continue to play the two Bradley County schools, but wish Cleveland was also on the schedule. Maybe one day.

I also wish we had kept Signal, very nice people and a very good program. Notre Dame is a team on the rise and Coach Davis has always liked having them on the schedule. The one that makes zero sense to me is East Ridge. I was hoping maybe we could figure out some way to keep Meigs on the schedule or get Cleveland, which was rumored.
Enrollment Numbers
in Class 1A & Class 2A
Posted
Just looking at the numbers, if the TSSAA proposal was ever used they would have to start from the top. If you start from the bottom you get to more than double the enrollment very quickly. For example Oakdale at 136, Copper Basin at 154, Coalfield at 160 and Cloudland at 161 would not be in the same class as Cornersville, Sale Creek, Whitwell and in Oakdale’s case, South Pitt. In my mind all of those schools belong in the lowest classification, but by starting from the bottom some very small schools get pushed up to 2A.
