Temp bleachers were being unloaded off trucks at Shackle Island Stadium when a school board member stepped in and said they hadn't been approved. Bleachers were loaded up and taken away. Not sure if or when Beech will get temporary bleachers for games this year.

Beech’s home bleachers condemned.

Nothing negative meant towards Beech. I'll just say I hope this is a sore spot that we can all look down upon when it comes to the Sumner County Board. While we can all look at one school that they basically built a college campus for, yet literally had another school stadium literally fall to the ground. Embarassing on their behalf. There is enough money floating around this county, there should be no problem keeping up with Rutherford, Wilson & Williamson when it comes to upkeeping these stadiums.
Spot on.

Sorry that I took that as a deflection, being that you had to directly mention Gallatin instead of commenting on the actual situation. Sure reads out pretty clearly more as a "jab" and not actually addressing the current situation. If that upsets you that somebody called you out on the comment, then idk what to say.
Sorry if it came across as a jab. If it was a jab it was intended for Sumner Co Bd of Ed. (Which I think eers understood perfectly). I’m proud of the tradition of excellence of all of Sumner county football and hope we can all upgrade our facilities soon.

Who said other counties don't inspect their stadiums? This is not a "state" problem
See “if they aren’t already”.

Nice "comeback" trying to Deflect the issue off of your own school and trying to wish it upon somebody else. YOUR school had it actually happen. Nice try, but we all can see with our own eyes who actually had an entire section off a stadium crumble to the ground.
And it doesn’t take me long to remember why I never comment on here anymore. You are so quick to get your green panties in a wad. I was simply quoting what two big green wave fans response was to me today when we discussed this. This is more than a Beech issue. It’s a SUMMER COUNTY ISSUE. I think it’s a shame that every stadium in the county (except LC obviously) isn’t in better shape. All our players coaches and fans deserve better, especially when the county can spend multiple millions on one particular stadium. My point is we should all be concerned about the safety of our stadiums. Kudos to Gallatin for getting the visitors side updated. The county should have replaced both sides. We should feel blessed that this didn’t happen Friday night and hopefully the county responds.

This should be a wake up call to every county in the state if they aren’t already to inspect all stadiums regularly.

Yes, they are going to check all Sumner County stadiums.

Based on what I’ve heard from multiple Gallatin fans today, wave yard home bleachers will be the next to collapse.

That's not an easy trip to make in the regular season. Can't say I'd blame them if they found a closer option
Beech may have to go out of state to find opponents next year. No Wilson county school will play them. One RuCo team has committed, another committed then reneged. Gallatin won’t play them. Hats off to Station Camp for committing to a home and home. Now would be the time to schedule them as they should be “down” next year. Only returning about 4 starters.

Ok , why didn’t someone just say this earlier, that first game against Farragut makes a lot more sense now . Us guys on the other side of the State don’t know the details that make a difference. Hope it’s an entertaining game !
The reason this was not mentioned is that we don’t like to make excuses. Beech lost, learned from it and moved on. I too hope it’s an entertaining game. Beech will have its hands full on Saturday.

Not as close as the score would indicate. This was never a game.

A blowout either way wouldn’t surprise me. HHS appears to be rebuilding and have a great coaching staff to do it. I believe they will be better than Gallatin by year end. Not sure they are now.
-
Nice win for the Bucs. Clearly the better team last night. I like the trajectory of this team. Beech controlled both lines of scrimmage most of the night. Gonna be a fun group to watch as the year goes on.

Cowards?? How do we know coach t didn’t pull it down? How do you know it was HC at all?? Yal beat a 5A team by 5 whole points and now we’re no good cowards??
FWIW Beech’s current enrollment is 1480, which should put them back in 5A.

Starting RB/OLB was hurt in a car accident a couple weeks ago (anticipate he’s back by mid season) and that has made them make some adjustments in short order. That said, I think this team is better overall than last years team. I’m going with Beech by 2 scores this week.
I agree that this team will be better than last year. D looks better and the o line is vastly improved from last year.

Bucs have to figure out the qb position before I have confidence in a road win over a good team.

The only way MJ doesn’t make it to Cookeville is if little perry screws it up. And for what it’s worth, Beech’s best defensive player didn’t play in the jamboree victory over MJ.

One of the worst efforts I’ve ever seen by a Beech football team. Hats off to HHS, they dominated in every phase.

Region championship game?

Beech’s ball carriers have simply got to do a better job with ball security. I’m guessing they’ve had 8 or 9 fumbles in their first two games. Clean those up and both of those are blowouts.

Was told it was because the board hadn't approved temp bleachers yet. Temps won't be sitting where the old bleachers were. Curious what others (HHS, Portland) are doing about temp bleachers so far. Beech's were on the ground but was told the board made them load them back up and take them back.
