Man, all I said was that I didn't think Quinn Cook was Duke material by watching this game. That was the first time I had seen him play in person, but I may be wrong. He didn't do nothing in the 3rd quarter when his team was struggling against Melrose's press. In fact, he turned the ball over a bit in that 3rd quarter run that Melrose made. Like I said in that previous post, by watching this game, you wouldn't have known Quinn Cook was going to Duke. I knew he was because I had read up about him. I was more impressed with Damian Wilson. He has MAJOR hops and can do everything on the floor.
you guys are crazy-put Cook on Melrose and they win going away-best player on the floor in my opinion. Oak Hills's bigs fouled out and they speeded up big time--who do you think was feeding those dunks?

Tuesday night should be a good matchup between SM and LA. Livingston has played a very tough sched so far against alot of AAA teams, maybe it will payoff!
Stone has played Siegel, Cocke County, Dobyns-Bennett,Morristown East as well as playing a tough June schedule. This team is maturing and if they peak at the right time could be very dangerous around tournament time

there was an elementary team out of Crossville that gave Ensworth 9th and Brentwood Academy 9th all they wanted in Franklin a couple of weeks ago. They had 7th and 8th graders on their team

Are there any Elite players on the horizon in Middle Tn? Anybody in the next 5 years that may wind up in a Major Conference playing college ball? Is there anybody that could wind up in the NBA? Will middle tn ball ever rise to the level it should be or will we as parents and coaches continue to be our worst enemies? What I mean by that is will we continue to want our kids to shine above and beyond the team or will we allow our kids to play with players that are just as good or better and learn the TEAM concept.

Are you talking about middle and high school ball?

idk he can if he wants to..he is good player with tramendis ball handling skills and can perform well under pressure.so there for it doesnt matter if he plays up or down.i personaly think he is better than jordan hall.
Playing on an elite team with above average players around you will sometimes give kids a tremendous advantage as opposed to playing on a more srtuctured, slower paced school level team with kids that probably don't have as much talent

He is actually supposed to be in 8th grade. He is the Pyro's one grade exception.
Maybe I am mistaken but a grade exception apllies to kids that are older than 14 but are still in the eighth grade. By that I mean 15 and not turning 16 before sept.1 -Have the rules changed or is it different in older age groups? Being in the ninth grade should mean playing 15's wouldn't it? Why would you want to play against eighth and sometimes seventh graders after playing high school ball?

No..that was just one game stats. And yes thats the reason he played bad.
They always play there age group.
Is Kaseem in the 9th grade at Oak Ridge? If so how is he able to play in the 14U/8th grade division?

could be the fact they are very undisciplined. They picked up 3 technicals sat night due to the fact they were frustrated and were challenged a bit. No upset here guys. Stone has played the likes of siegel, West, Mcallie twice, Livingston, Dobyns-Bennett,etc. So Carter did not spook these guys. Game was over at half.
