  1. You have never proven yourself right and the burden of proof is on the accuser.
  2. Save your breath BIG P. The guy you are addressing knows EVERYTHING. If you don't believe me just wait........

    Cascade

I have posted here before and told the fans in the stands how impressed I have been all year with the Cascade fans. You are the best fans in Tennessee. I love how you support your kids and how they play with heart to the very end. Congratulations on a great year!
  4. bigb.....oldkodger's name must be appropriate. He never passes an opportunity to take a cheap shot at CPA. Must be sad to be that pessemistic and hateful.
  5. I'm not sure but didn't CPA play the "Big Boy" D2 champion this year?
  6. I concur Yankee....I have just seen that guy hijack so many threads with his venom. As a matter of fact this will be my final Coach T post. Good luck to all the AA teams still in play.
  7. No Follower....we are just bored to tears with your conspiracy theories, alien encounters, and FB stalking. You would be better served trying to get TSSAA to change the rules than whining about someone winning while following them.
  8. Were the games played last night and who won?
  9. Parts....they played the previous 2 years in the Bluegrass Holiday Tournament. CPA didn't go to it this year.
  10. Ballard is a great team and the Martin kid was dominate inside. They were ferocious rebounding and very strong. There were some odd things happen....after a disputed charging call the Ballard coach took the ball, walked down his bench to the end of the bleachers where a cooler of water and cups were sitting, took a drink and walked back to the bench with the ball still under his arm. No call. The refs thought it was funny. This only a few seconds after CPA was called for a delay of game to put a contact back in. Pretty odd.
  11. I was again impressed with the support of the Cascade fans for their team at the game last night. You had a large group make the trip and showed your class once again. Your players played hard the entire way....especially #14! He is a player.
  12. At the risk of being accused of "attacking" anyone I will make my final post....possibly....on this subject. Having read and posted on the many threads re: CPA that always turn dark I agree it usually appears us CPA supporters resort to negative comments to those we feel are wrongly throwing out accusations. Most of mine have been directed to a previouys coach that is obviously well educated, basketball knowledgeable, and loves to show it. My problem with him is his technique is similar to that used by the Progressive/Liberal politician in that if you say a lot and use vague language you prove to people you know more than them, are smarter, and therefore more correct. Look at the length and depth of the posts. He often makes "insinuations" and when you counter he requests more proof than Judge Judy demands while putting no proof of his own on the table. Long ago his proof of recruiting was a reference to someone in the know at a high level. Once again the old insinuation of I know something you don't know. He has insinuated I may not know the full story of why my grandson attended CPA because I may not have been present at "all conversations" that lead to him choosing CPA. Only an insinuation on his part but the message was clear. Bottom line is kbrks I don't like the tone and insinuation you have used against CPA over the years, I don't like the methods you use on Coach T and then accuse others of bullying you, I don't like your insinuation you are smarter than everyone else on here especially those that disagree with you, and basically I don't like you. I know that breaks your heart but there it is.
  13. I'm going to miss this when I no longer have skin in the game!
  14. I wish to make one last and final post on this thread. I understand the animosity because some people just like to be that way. I have been on both sides of this coin. One of the CPA players is a relative so I'm on that side now. I think if they could they would play the highest level of competition possible every night. TSSAA requires you to be at the same level in all sports and I'm not closely attuned enough to know why they are in the public class, nor do I care. They have a reason and it is right to do so. My exception to many posters is coming down on the kids for playing their best. I know with my relative he is at summer camps, workouts, etc while a lot of his "non-AAU type" friends are playing around, goofing off, working, etc. I wonder where these kids were Thanksgiving night? My relative was in the gym working on his game. These kids that have been blessed with a unique athletic ability are most often the hardest working ones that put the time and effort to further develop that skill. For that should they be rewarded by only getting to play enough of the game to win it? Is that how we reward the high achievers in this world? If Reba McIntire sings in a church choir should she sing badly to fit in? Maybe society should take from those high achievers and re-distribute their assets to those that either don't have as great an ability or are not willing to pay the price and put out the effort to do so. Let's reward those by redistribution from the achievers. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
  15. He's #7. The starters came out last night with 6 1/2 minutes to go in the third period. How's that?
  16. hedahe.....there are millions of people in Tennessee and what 5-10 of you on here mouthing re: CPA basketball; hardly constitutes a "majority". As another poster on here basically says...name them.
  17. kbrks it is sad to see you are still bitter CPA has been so successful after you left. I see no reason to name specific people as you wish to prove a point that I could care less if you ever are convinced of. Have a good life but I'm done with you.
  18. kbrks were you not around during Carlton Flatt years? Ever hear of Maryville, Hoover, Alcoa, Riverdale? You can't deny many came because of their success. Josh Swords' family moved here from Scottsboro, AL just to play in the BA program per his father. And yes after I made the statement re: BHS there were idiotic responses insinuating foul play but that's O.K. To deny some parents are willing to move to give their kids the opportunity to play in a great program and for a great coach is just wrong. Anyway.....see you in Murfreesboro in March.
  19. kbrks...doing anything to your satisfaction has never been very high on my priority list.
  20. kbrks...I gave that example last year of a football program at a Williamson County school and several posters immediately started accusing the school of.....you guessed it.....recruiting and giving parents incentives to move in the district. I have finally decided it is best to not argue with you people.
  21. gottcha...I assume you are a Cascade parent/supporter. My congrats on you guys being first class from top to bottom! CPA is indeed a great team but you guys just caught us on a night when a lot of 3's fell. You guys had 11 yourself! Again....very impressed with your fans, players, and coaches.
  22. You bet winning is important...and all the benefits to the players that comes with it. Someone asked one time why colleges in the south generally are better at football than in the north. I replied it is because we want to be. I was once involved with a high school that had great academics and was good in most sports other than football. The reason football was bad was because no one cared as long as the athletic department was in the black. There were 58 kids on the team...varsity, jv, and freshmen. My son's freshman year they were 0-10...next year 2-8 but few cared and the kids hated being on the team. A new coach was hired, parents were encouraged to get involved, and efforts were made by the kids themselves took pride in the program and worked extra hard. Since then the school still excels academically, the football team regularly has up to 100 on the varsity alone, has won a state championship, and is normally in the playoffs. That public school graduates around 100% with most going to college and millions of dollars of scholarships are earned each year. When a group of people, parents, administration, and students want to excel and are willing to pay the price of effort they are rewarded. Notice how getting a good coach, working hard, and putting in the time parallels with success? Winning isn't the most important thing at CPA but in my opinion it is a reflection of and a result of the thing that IS the most important.
  23. Mumbletypeg I gathered that from some of the other posts in this thread.
