    Well maybe I was wrong about that Mcminn co game you can't be right all the time, but that is one game in how many, you can probably count them on two hands.like I said my point is this he is not as good as everyone make him out to be.having a 66-48 record is not something you write home about.think about this and im not trying to run him in the ground , this is just a friendly discussion.how many times in the time that he was coach did rhea win a game that they wasn't suppose to win according to the so called experts that pick these games in our local and chatt papers? I remember one and that was the east ridge game in the playoffs the year they won the region title, rhea beat them in ot that night then went on to play powell and maryville.this is just my opinion.everyone has there own.likei said before I like fitz and would do anything for him but do disagree that he was that good of a coach.I've said my peace and I won't post on this subject again, all I going to do is look forward to a new coach and a new year go and support our eagles this fall, I really didn't want to offend anyone or coach fitz I am just getting it off my chest.

    First of all "I know a thing or two about a thing or two" and when I say Fitzgerald was a very good coach I mean it. Some coaches only care about being a coach or having a job ect... Fitz loved his community , school, the kids , friends, and coaches. He had a great run and will be successful again. Maybe it was time to leave. Sometimes in life change is good , I know first hand. Please quit bashing Fitz and Rhea football . What you need to do is band together and help place the best replacement in tow. Continue to support the Eagles (Fitz will). As for Hammondtree lol ,unless he has taken some psychology classes and become a heck alot nicer to people ,I rather see Lane Kiffin there.Because remember a Snake is still a Snake , whether you look like one or not. (in fact he does) Good luck to Fitz and his staff and the Rhea County Eagles.

    Stick to being a fan and supporter because nothing you said here is factually correct.

     

    Wes Caldwell put right at, if not more, of his own money into that basbeall team/field than the school ever gave him on a yearly allowance.

     

    Grass Seed

    Fertilizer

    Mule Mix to fix the infield

    Paint for the outfield fence

    Repairing the outfield fence after floods

    Replacing uniforms and accessories (socks, hats, ect.)

    Baseballs

    Bats

    Paying Umpires

    Paying bus drivers

    Paying a substitute teacher so he could work on things outside the fence at the field because HE was DEMANDED to by the AD. Things that were brought up as his shortcomings when he was fired. Things that the AD NOW has an outside party do for the new coach.

     

    All of this WITHOUT the money to pay an assistant coach.

     

    The list goes on and on. heck I ever know of a former player of his who was late turning in his financial aid in college and Wes loaned the kid the money so he didn't have to drop out.

     

    The way that money magically appeared to balance the book at the end of the year is from Wes writing a personal check to the school to cover it. The man spent the money that had to be spent in order to keep Jim Rankin field in the kind of playing shape that would make the man it was named after proud. So if you want to call the "team bank account" Caldwell's personal wallet then you might have a point. The money came out of his pocket instead of going in though.

     

    For someone who claims to be a fan and a supporter you sure don't mind taking a dump on his integrity.

    you better get back to town quick Rhea Co. cause things are heating up quick. My sources tell me that TawJackson will be named head coach at a surprise press conference this afternoon

    Rhea County is losing a very special coach , and probably some of his staff. It saddened me to see this yesterday and to read the newspaper this morning even makes me more sad. Jason Fitzgerald is not only a coach but a friend that helped many- many kids with their future. And yes everyone can be replaced , but not everyone can do what certain coaches do. Wins and loses are important , but molding young men and placing them in schools to better themselves are too. Jason has done this with class and I applaude him for that. He will coach again and will continue being a winner in my book. Thanks for the memories.

    Basically what I want to know is...can anyone beat Science Hill in the area. Yes tn high beat them in the arbys...but on a tues/fri night, is anyone capable of beating them? DB has come up just short twice. Obviously if the toppers play bad on any given night anyone can win. But, if they are clicking can, anyone this side of Nashville handle them? Also...is it me or are the officials worse this year than ever? For everyone...not just sh...they seem to be bad on both sides...every night.

  8. Rhea County Upsets Cleveland

    Yes it was a great game. Rhea County's inside game was outstanding last night. It's always great to beat Cleveland and even better to do it at Cleveland. Congrats to the guys and Coach Williams. Also this was the first time since 2003 (The Crowder Era) since have beat Cleveland and also the first time to beat Cleveland at Cleveland since 2001. Again congrats on the big upset win and keep it going against Ooltewah and McMinn next week

    Congrats to the Rhea County family!!!! This is sooooooooo funny

    Antioch 65-47 lead 65-40 with 2 min. to go. Wells had 4 dunks and #34 Girdy had a good game and a slam off a rebound. Upton played very well 18-20 points. Antioch slowed the game down the 4th qt. Looks like the bears could be on their way.

    I was just wandering...Since he is downing a 19-2 team...Thought he might be supporting someone better...

    Some people could not or cannot play. Some would like to coach and either have been fired ,not hired or cannot be hired. So they get their kicks hiding behind a name on a website and talking trash. It does not bother me, in fact negative comments just makes me try harder.

    I WOULDNT EVEN WANT TO BE ON CSS AFTER TAKING A THRASHING LIKE THAT......I THOUGHT ANTIOCH WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SEC CALLIBER PLAYERS THERE COACH.

    THEY HAD A NICE TEAM RANKED 3RD IN FL- 10TH IN THE SOUTHEAST DONT TALK TRASH ON HERE COME BY AND SEE ME TOMORROW AT NOON THEN WE WILL TALK HAVE A NICE EVENING SO NOW U HAVE A NEW NAME BIG i

    shouldn't you be worrying about how antioch is doing instead of rhea county there coach?? last i heard you got drilled by some boys from miami...........

    trying to keep up with some of the kids how about worrying about yourself also ,antioch did get beat in the final's of the ARBY'S CLASSIC AND YOU CAN WATCH IT ON CSS NEXT SUNDAY ----the only way you get on tv is the 5 o'clock news being a smart ___ or doing something stupid. and the only way you watched the arbys is paying 7 bucks :D MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
