If you look at the records and Wingits post earlier, you will see the situations are exactly the same. Even if you look at the TSSAA site it confirms this.

Johnson is in the same situation as Young.

Hoang is in the same situation as Simpson.

Adamson is in the same situation as Giesmar.

    But they are seeded differently?

  2. I noticed at 119 they changed the brackets. If Head-to-Head is the first criteria, how is Simpson seeded over Geismar. Last time they wrestled, besides the Duals, Geimar beat Simpson. I know that Simpson beat Geismar in the Duals but it is my understanding that the Duals don't count. Does anyone know for sure how this works. If this stands at 119, it looks like some others would have to change as well.

  3. I didn't say Nick doesn't have a chance. In fact, this is the hardest one to call. Nick is very talented and a good kid. I based this on the fact the Scott won the last match between the two and by several points.

Give me your thoughts if Nick wrestled Manley at 152?

  4. I don't think Ryan will fair as good as The Name thinks, but will still be tough. Ryan would have a better chance if Dunning went 112 and Hiller 119.

Seams like the Baylor guys have settled in their weights.

McCallie seams to be exploring where their strongest. I hear Cleveland be at 130, Scott at 160 and Smith, Blair and Manley still to be determined.

Nick Marable might be in the mix in 152 or 160 except I don't think he can beat Scott or Manley.

Here is the way I see it.

    103 Johnson-Baylor

    112 Manson-Baylor

    119 Geismer-Baylor

    125 Hiller-Ryan

    130 Cleveland-McCallie

    135 Leen-Baylor

140 thru 160 Smith, Blair, Manley, Scott (Not sure where these guys will be, but should be tops in DII)

    171 Stark- Ryan

    189 Marable-CB

    215 Lomas-Ryan

    Hwt Seay-MCath

  5. Cleveland got beat by Waller from Walton. He was the 130 lb 5A champ last year. He got beat 13 to 12. Cleveland was not awarded back points once and on another occasion, took Waller down to his back. Waller claimed to be injured, Cleveland was only awarded the takedown then also and not any back points.

  7. Lets add another one to the mix. My moneys on Cody Cleveland. He only lost to the Collins Hill Kid by one point and wrestled him better than Kyle or Shawn. One things for sure, Leen, James, Cleveland and Cordell are the best at 119. No one will dominate a class with such a good field but on any given day any of these could beat the other.

  8. This was a good post. Just to add a twist and my thoughts.

    103 & 112 As you have them. MC6 BC0

119 I think Cleveland wins.(For the record, they have never wrestled before.) MC9 BC0

125 Siberman pins Fuller (No brainer) MC 13 BC0

130 Close one here. Saw Smith wrestle Dunning, I say Smith wins by 2. MC16 BC0

    135 I agree MC23 BC0

    140 Ditto MC23 BC3

145 Strategy here McCallie wrestles Connell here and pins Spain MC 29 BC3

    152 Scott Majors Catlett (can't dispute this) MC33 BC3

    160 I agree with you MC33 BC9

    171 ditto MC 33 BC15

    189 ditto MC 39 BC15

    215 ditto MC 39 BC21

    275 ditto MC 39 BC27

    Final MC 39 BC27

Who will be the top 4 in division II 119?

If Jordan Leen goes 119, he will be the clear-cut favorite. Rumor is that Cody Cleveland will be wrestling at 119 this year. If Leen goes 125 and Jimmy Hiller wrestles 119 instead of 112, the top wrestlers at 119 will be Cleveland (McCallie), Hiller (Ryan), Robinson (CBHS), and Markway (K Cath).
