  4. The MTSU Lady Raiders are hosting three team camps in June. The dates of the camps are as follows:

    Camp 1: June 5-7

    Camp 2: June 8-10

    Camp 3: June 20-22

    We already have a record number of teams from several states attending and we feature all levels of competition. Camp 3 is almost full and we still have spots in Camps 1 and 2. Teams may choose to stay in the MTSU dorms or local hotels, or they may commute. We will schedule to meet your competition level, your available dates and the needs of your team.   10. Congratulations to both TN Express teams. Both of the sub-state wiiners looked very strong and both sets of coaches did a great job with them. If the sub-state was the conclusion of the tournament, trophies would have been awarded. However, as Commander has already pointed out, the sub-state is just that. It is the first part of the state tournament. The sub-state were initiated in Tennessee to prevent every team from having to drive to a central location in the state on multiple weekends to play. It allows teams to play in their area until they reach the "Final Eight" level. We certainly wish the TN Express and the other South Middle Sub-state teams that qualify the very best of luck at the state.

     

    I realize that as these girls get older the trophies won't mean as much to them as they do now.I guess they were just expecting to recieve something for their efforts.Oh well ,all is probably already forgotten by now. Still GREAT JOB GIRLS GOOD LUCK IN MEMPHIS

  11. Shelbyville Team Camps for the Summer of 2008:

    Week 1: June 1-4

    Week 2: June 15-18

     

    Cost is a $100 team fee and $40 per player. Meals are not included this year but we will feed everyone dinner on Monday and Tuesday evenings at no extra cost. Out-of-town teams can stay in the gym or in classrooms as long as we have room. We still have room now, but please call or email as soon as possible!

  12. The scoreboard is correct: Livingston beat Greeneville 50-40. Livingston was led by Shelby Taylor with 17 and Alissa Sells with 14. Greeneville had three players with 10 pts each: Devan McIntyre, Brianna Kelley and Nicole Dickson.

     

    In other action, Independence beat Dickson Co. 62-54, Moore Co. beat Cascade 43-37 and Shelbyville beat Tennessee High of Bristol 59-50.

  13. Gene Pierce, the author of the new book "Only Eaglettes Understand" will attend the Eaglette Tip-Off Classic this weekend to autograph his book. The book is not only a history of the Eaglette Girls Basketball program but also a history of high school girls basketball in Tennessee! Books will be on sale for $20.
