I never stated that coach campell could not coach, all i said was that we neede a coach like our COACH. As far as the past you can believe what you want, we all now what really happened!

 

As far as teaching young boys to be men I can list a least 25 boys that would have never even finished high school much less graduated if it had not been for coachs influence on them. He was a teacher,coach, father figure and mentor to alot of young men wether they played or not. And best of all win lose or draw everyday he would tell us that he "Loved US" and explain why.

 

As a side note myself and several of the older players still commicate with coach, and his still motivates all of us. So talk whatever trash you want to belive about the past, but the truth is until we get another coach that can motivate and pull people together like coach did, Central will continue to loss, and it hurts me to say that. As coach used to say Big time players make big time plays in big time ball games, well its time for someone to step up!

I am from the Chattanooga area and follow region 4-4A. What impressed you about Red Bank and Rhea last year? Both I agree are quality teams.

Championship definately runs through 3-4A.

Good luck to Brandon!1 I hope he breathes some MUCH NEEDED life into that program. You are getting an enegetic, organized, and confident football coach!!!

He is coming home....hopefully he will return the program to what it was when he was there as a player!

What is the misunderstanding? Did they force him out?? What is the deal?

This type of junk seems to be happening more and more. the quality of refs is not what it once was and now there are to many who are there for the extra money. I really wish that the refs had to sit and watch a film of the game that they had just called to review what type of job they have done. They need to see how good or bad a call they made and this will help them in the future.

 

My hats are off to most refs but there are some that just don't get it.

You can live with the judgement calls....those are part of the game....and of course somebody will be upset....but it is just part of it....

It is when rules are not followed and basic knowledge of the game isn't executed...like the 5 down situation RB vs. Rhea..and in that situation they had even stopped and measured on 3rd and 4th dowen before they gave Rhea a 5th down (2 plays later Rhea scores to take the leasd)....and then the blown interpretation of the rule for pass interference vs. Hixson....that is a REAL PROBLEM. If the rule is followed properly...Hixson gets one more down from the 50 yard line.....WOW. Who knows what happens in overtime...but at least the kids decide it!

I will predict that Whitwell will win this region but will not go undefeated in the region. Whitwell was a young team last year that did ok last year, but should be better than any Whitwell team in the last 12 years. South Pitt is still the team to beat it this region.

Paul Tidwell from Whitwell will standout this year in 1A 6-5 285 strong as an ox.
