Just come on and ride with me to the Tournaments! I'll have the Classic Rock of the 70's and 80's in the CD player! Sounds like another down in the up and down Lady Ranger season. Good thing it gets erased when the tourney starts. And on the note that games before the tournament don't count, I'd be willing to bet most teams finishing at the bottom of their conference will still reward their players with trophies. In today's sports world, kids go 0-10 in say football all will get a trophy. What happened to earning the hardware? Can't stand seeing kids rewarded for being average or below average. What are we teaching them?? That average is OK. Try telling that to an employer.(Off of my soap box now)

As an alumni, I will type. The only "games that mean something" are the ones in the middle of February!! As far as bragging rights for the county, for one night or maybe this whole year in some people's minds, Cloudland beat Elizabethton. Yipee! It won't matter to either team, if they are beaten in the District, Regional, Sub-State or State! Trust Me on this one. But you go ahead and enjoy your euphoria while it lasts.

Going by the Free Take One! 2005-06 Sports Schedule. It has all of the Carter Co. teams schedules on one side and UT, ETSU, Milligan & (who knows why?) UNC schedules on the other. Do the boys play them, it has them playing again 2/14. I should have used the CoachT schedules!? Can C-D stop all of EHS' height? HV has Williams. And the West Greene thing was a "moonrock thing" or something. No way they play close to you guys. S & R Forgot the .5 for Unaka I was in a hurry as usual. Still Carter County Basketball looks good with no one under .500!! Not many counties with 5 schools in it can say that I bet!

1. Cloudland (18-4) Beat Unaka; Beat Providence Academy; Still cruising right along, took Single A control with win over Unaka; Hope they haven't peaked too early? Nothing will challenge them this week; Play at UH and Tri-Cities at home. 1.5. Elizabethton (19-3) Beat hapless North; Big win at South Greene; Two easy games and then Tennessee High; seem to be finding different options as the season goes on;Play at Chucky Doak, Play West Greene at home and at Tennessee High. 3. Unaka (11-7) Lost to Cloudland; Beat UH; Seems like the youg pups first Cloudland game scared them a bit, but TB being afraid to shhoot come on; Play at Cosby (a peek into the other District) and at home against Johnson Co.. 3. Happy Valley (13-7) Beat Johnson Co.; Beat Chucky Doak; Not as easy as predicted; Play at North and at home for a big game with South Greene. 5. Hampton (9-9) Beat UH; Beat Johnson Co and won big at North Greene; Now they have proved they can beat North Greene, should give enough confidence against Unaka and Cloudland. Play at Chucky Doak and that's it.

Unaka beat UH Any other scores?

I would LOVE to be back helping Coach Chambers. I think we work well together. And by the way, I haven't read most of these post on the thread, but Sallee can play for me anytime! And I'm sure Coach Chambers feels the same.

Cloudland, EHS, HV & Hampton Win. Unaka Loses. Cloudland out fought Unaka. EHS cruised past North. HV played better than the score indicated. Hampton DID play 4 quarters. Unaka MJ playing like she is capable (scoring-wise) don't know about the rest of her game. Confidence and maturity needs to happen in a month. They are not Freshman anymore.

Coachh17 is already making excuses for the Lady Cyclones by pointing down the road. AS they continue to improve, those mountains may become small speed bumps. But the ability to handle pressure, must improve. Cloudland on the otherhand (smaller speed bumps included) have a desire and fight that can take them a ways down state. Any other score updates!

Elizabethton (17-3) Beat hapless Johnson Co.; Beat HV in a barn burner; Play at North and at South Greene. 3. Unaka (10-6) Beat nemisis North Greene; Lost to Unicoi Co.; Huge home game with Cloudland and UH at home. 4. Happy Valley (11-7) Lost to Unicoi Co.; Lost to Elizabethton; They held Crapps in check, but couldn't figure out Pietrowski Squared; Play at Johnson Co. and at home against Chucky Doak; Should be 2 easy wins for the Warriors. 5. Hampton (6-9) Beat Crockett; Lost to Cloudland like Unaka against Unicoi Co. if games were only 3 quarters......Play at UH; play at Johnson Co and at North Greene; Easy beginning but who knows at N. Greene.

Hampton shot well to beat Crockett and Cloudland cruised by UH. Cloudland by 10+.

1. Cloudland - they have not lost to team they should have beaten 2. Elizabethton - loss to Collierville was unacceptable 3. Happy Valley - loss to Crockett, needs a good win 4. Unaka - loss to North Greene 5. Hampton - losses to everyone in the county

Cloudland: Big Wins - TN High & Elizabethton Losses - Mitchell Co, Unicoi Co., South Greene twice Elizabethton: Big Wins - Unicoi Co., South Greene Losses: Mitchell Co., Cloudland, Collierville Hampton: Big Wins: Clay Co., Greenback Losses: EHS, HV twice, Unaka .....Definitely on the bottom Happy Valley: Big Wins: South Greene, Unaka (if you can call it a big win) Losses: Science Hill, Crockett, Boone, Claiborne Co. Unaka: Big Wins: Pickett Co. Unicoi Co. Losses: North Greene, Clay Co., HV GPS Nobody has really beat anyone outstanding. Yet but Cloudland has lost to someone they shouldn't have. The only given is Hampton is 5th.

Elizabethton (15-3) Beat Central; Beat Unicoi Co.; Beat Science Hill; 3 good wins; whether people want to gripe about the FT shooting at Science Hill or not, the ladies made them and that is ALL that matters (90%, that is awesome); Play at Johnson Co. and a big showndown with the (conference untested) Warriors on Warrior Hill. 3. Happy Valley (11-5) Lost to Boone; Beat Hampton; Beat West Greene; Still will go as far as their guards will take them mainly Canter; BIG WEEK for the Lady Warriors; Play Unicoi Co. and Elizabethton; should prove if they are real or Memorex. 4. Unaka (9-5) Beat Soddy Daisy; Beat Temple (Again); Lost to GPS; While one Junior decided me ball was better than team ball and hit the road, Megan Johnson and Sallee Taylor have begun to play to their abilities; Two revenge games this week for the Lady Rangers; The first North Greene at Home and the Second Coach Fisher and the Lady Blue Devils looking for some of their own at home. 5. Hampton (5-8) Lost to Unaka; Lost to Happy Valley; Still need an inside presence; Play at Crockett and at Cloudland.

No depth. Unless someone is playing that didn't play at Unaka. A field day, if UC gets in foul trouble.
