Yeah I have seen em play...they are gonna crush your team like a bunch of flies. Their only weakness is their waterboy, who is not of as high of a calibur as Leigh "The Destroyer" Bailey was for us...as long as they stay hydrated by these benchmen...they should have no problem winning state and eventually the World Cup.

I'm just wondering if a state championship could have been achieved by Catholic this year if they still had Leigh "The Tank" Bailey supplying water to all of the tired players...A Catholic bench without Leigh is surely not a happy one.

Takedown hit it right on the nose...first off, playing 4 or 5 decent to good teams isnt necessarily that great. i know people who score a ton of goals in high school soccer, but that doesnt necessarily make them that great...alot of these kids are actaully pretty weak. it's all about a player's contribution to his team and his discipline and work rate. Some of the best players I've seen in the midfield don't score that much, but they control the flow of the game and are partially responsible for the forward getting the goal...the best of preps SHOULD have a pretyt equal number of players from each position in my opinion. Goal scoring is a good place to start for the forwards, but it really is a shame when a kid who isn't as deserving as someone else makes an important team like that just because of goals. Alot of public school teams especially have some really weak teams in their district where they score 3 or 4 goals again, as opposed to a better team such as McCallie or something that plays all good teams and wins like 1-0. I understand it's extremely hard to actualy decide who the best is, but I think goals are looked at way too much on teams like this.

Being an alumni of Catholic, as much as I would like to say that they will win, I have some doubts. I went to the previous ND vs. Catholic game this year and it was downright atrocious. If catholic plays as bad as they did that game, it won't even be close. If catholic comes to play it could be a different story.BUT...we have pounded ND for too long, they are gonna be extremely focused. They feel that this is their year, and if they don't lose their cool.... ND 3 Catholic 1

wmsmphs, good luck at Lincoln Memorial...my boy Silas from Knoxville West and our club team Knoxville Elite plays there, he says they got a pretty decent team...and good luck at state, I always think that you guys are underrated, even though you are ranked number 15 in the nation this year.

District Championship: Farragut 3 Bearden 1 Regional Championship: Farragut 2 Bearden 1 Or perhaps some overtime in the regional championship...that would make for some fun soccer to watch.

I also played on that catholic team...i was a senior that year...That was definitely our best game of my entire high school career(i started all 4 years)...but u gotta remember that that year we also tied Bearden, outshooting em 22-12...until last week we were the last team to put a blemish on their record in 2 years...in the tournament you never know...any good team can beat a great team on any given day...saying that some weak school like King's Academy would win is ridiculous, but you guys get my point....good luck to Catholic on Friday.

High school soccer in general is alot weaker this year than I have seen in it in a long time...Farragut and Christian Brothers are by far the best teams in the state, because they retained alot of their talent from previous years....but Farragut is not near as strong as they were two years ago, it just so happens that neither is the rest of TN soccer. CBHS always has a solid team and I think them against Farragut would be a good game. Notre Dame is one of the BETTER teams in the state, but in my opinion they aren't really that good...i mean baylor, mccallie, and even knoxville catholic are weaker this year than in previous years....the ND guys have been playing together for awhile and now they are making things happen...i think its great and I wish em luck.

i respect your district more than i used to chs. That is good that your district made it to state two years in a row. I was surprised, I did not think cookeville would be that great, but they weren't too bad.
