  1. How bout we all forget about this past fridays game, and Gallatin fans worry about beating Centennial, and Beech fans worry about beating Dickson Co. Then when week 3 of the playoffs gets here, we'll all start talking about Beech vs. Gallatin again. :D

Here's the situation: Your heavily favored Class 4A team is ahead 13-10 over the underdog Class 2A team. Three seconds are left in thr fourth quarter and you're at the opponent's 5 yard line, 2nd and goal after a run was stopped for no gain. Do you (A) get out of Dodge, knowing you're fortunate to be ahead at the end of the game as your go-ahead 50 yard touchdown was helped by the ref keeping the flag in his pocket when a visible jersey-pulled-from the body hold broke the play open? Are you feeling fortunate no flag was thrown on your 40 yard 4tn and 2 run with a minute left to get you to the 5 even though everyone in stadium saw the left guard leave out of stance way before the ball was snapped? Do you just take a knee and get it over with? Or do you (:) let your team boost its averaqe points per game and risk injury to your quarterback, letting him run a bootleg into the end zone? You'd think it would be an easy choice but East Ridge picked choice B tonight and left and bad taste in the mouths of lots of players and fans.

  3. I really dont think it matters what age you start playing football. If a kid loves football he will play football for as long as he loves it. When that love for the game starts to wear off, then thats when you start questioning yourself wether or not you wanna play anymore, it all depends on just how much you like the game.I've been playing since I was in 6th grade, which is a good age to start, but I'm now entering my junior year in high school, and Im not to burnt out on it. I still like the game alot and wouldnt trade anything for friday nights in the fall.

  4. one time in middle school a few years back, i was playing quarterback and we had just came out of a timeout and we lined up and did not huddle. Well on defense I played free saftey and I guess I had lost my mind, but I was lined up 15 yards back behind the center like i was on defense, but we were on offense and I just kinda stood there and everyone looked at me and then we had to call timeout again. To cover up I said that I was waiting on everyone to huddle up but the truth is I got mixed up and lost my mind and thought we were on defense. I think this is the first time I've admitted to this but It was pretty funny.
