  1. Good game owls. Defense dominated until the 4th quarter. Props to the 13 year old freshman qb for Bradley. He throws the ball better than we do. Should be a good player for them for the next 3 years. Owls have got to get the passing game going because once we play a team that "can" actually put 8-9 in the box and stop the run, we will be in trouble. Should be interesting next week at Cleveland..

  2. Ooltewah-Bradley........(owls already beat rhea co).,.....so lets talk about that!! Owls will win,by how much?Who knows?,but,I'm willing to bet,it will be at least 3 tds(and I'm being nice).Ooltewah will be fine in next few years,so anyone hoping owls are going down hill soon, get over it. beagle fans,go on to your next game and talk and whine over on that thread, let owls-bears argue and fight in peace over here. B) owls-whatever they want/bears-whatever owls want....And as far as #1 team in the state,IT ONLY MATTERS AT THE END,but being ranked #1 has it's advantages:playoff time, mindset, community support, money etc...and most of all, shows the kids, they're hard work is paying off!! I'll take #1(with bullseye on my back)OVER last place and a foot-print on my back!!!!! see ya !!!

The Owls will not win by 3 Tds and I would bet on that, also the Owls will be lucky to score more than 2 TDs in the first half. This Bear team has very smart coaches and very good players.

The reason the team has lost these close games is that the coaches will only play the players they want to play and where they want to play them. If the coach would let go of what ever is holding him back on moving players around and letting play makers make plays for the team the losing would stop and the bears would beat the Owls. There will be a few changes headed into friday night but I think not enough, Laugh all you want Owls fans but This bears team has so much talent it is unreal. and if the coach does let go and uses all his weapons and keeps fresh players on the field the Owls will lose this game .

But watch this game close and you will see that no matter what happens at any position the same players come on the field at the same position. I hope not to see the same thing but we will see friday

O yea the bears have not lost on the road! So watch out Owls The coach just might let all the bears out of their cage and open up the playbook, :roflol: if this happens you will lose and that is a promise you can take to the bank!!!!!! :?:? SOME BEARS ARE STILL HUNGRY FOR A WIN!

You say you have "SMART" coaches and then the very next sentence you bash them about what he is doing... Doesn't make sense.... You might have good talent compared to a regular "Bradley" team but not the talent to go head to head with the Owls. Good luck though..

  3. Hold on.

    Varsity:

    Ooltewah - 56

    Walker Valley - 0

    Freshman:

    Ooltewah - 20

    Walker Valley - 12

There's no drop off in talent coming?

Don't let the facts get in the way of your blind optimism.

Ooltewah Freshman vs Walker Valley JV....... Ooltewah's freshman team plays several JV teams throughout the years. Polk County, Central, Gordon Lee,Walker Valley, etc...

  4. Pride comes from decades of deep playoff runs, sending players to the NFL, and winning region championships. Last time I checked, Ooltewah can't do that. I remember the decades that Ooltewah spent as a door mat. Have fun on the top. It won't last long.

In this decade Ooltewah is 75-27. This was done primarily in region 2-5a which is considered to be the strongest region in the state. Ooltewah is 2-0 vs. Rhea County this decade and will be 3-0 after Friday. Good luck. Should be a fun game!

Struggling with reading comprehension? This should help:

So why are you hating on Ooltewah's recent success? I don't understand.....Congrats on Rhea County's successful history but what does that do for you now?

  6. This will be a low scoring game. Ooltewah just can't move the ball like they have in years past. Defense is still strong but once Ooltewah plays a big opponent like the one this week, its necessary for them to move the ball and keep the stellar defense off the field. I hope Ooltewah wins the game but I just don't see it happening. Prove me wrong... Ooltewah 7 Franklin 14

  7. 4th and a few inches with seconds remaining..... West defense is bringing the house.... what do you do?.....call a deep handoff off tackle or a QB sneak? A great offensive mind with a strong QB will run a sneak every time but we all know what happen.

You aren't allowed to run QB sneak in all-star game. That was a rule....

  8. BOTTOM-LINE:if the owls execute the plays on offense,THIS GAME WILL NOT EVEN BE CLOSE!!!! YEAH,I SAID IT!!!!! after what,I saw last friday.BENNY MONROE,(or whoever calls the plays).,.called a perfect game,I mean a perfect game. The owls were a finger tip, half a block,2 dropped ints from a blow-out over farragut. He(Benny)called plays from spring practice and called them at the perfect time in the game.I will tell it like it is THERE ARE NO BUMS in OAKLAND,but,OOLTEWAH is an awesome team,if they put it all together with ALL the TALENT,they have....it will be a blow-out!!!! OAKLAND FANS be safe, eat well bring your crying towels. owls 35-0 over a very good oakland team.

    No way...

  9. I've been trying to mapquest directions to the game. Is the stadium at Greeneville HS listed on mapquest as being at 210 Tusculum Blvd? Any help from Greeneville fams would be greatly appreciated.

Drive to Greeneville and follow the traffic or stop at a gas station when you're in town.... Thats what I would do...

  10. Yeah LOD you said it!!

Some coaches just throw these things in the trash without opening them, some of the kids don't want to take a chance of getting hurt. This the same old stuff that is said every year "why not my favorite players" well folks they can't take everybody.

Shouldn't Oak Ridge's punter be considered to play in this game. I mean he did punt for more yards that Oak Ridge offense gained all year. Thats pretty impressive.. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  11. Smyrna had one of the best also but he wasnt as effective once we got in his head. Just bc you have a great kicker doesnt mean our defense and special teams wont be knocking on the door to block a punt/field goal. There arent many kickers in region 4 who could really hang a ball in the air on a kick off or punt so giving Nelson any opportunity to return it doesnt play in your favor. Who needs a kicker when you're converting on key 3rd and 4th downs? and even if we have to punt we feel like we are okay bc our defense brings it every single series. Both teams at some point are going to drive it the entire length of the field and the owls arent going to score 17 on the pats. My adivce to you would be not to pay attention to what you hear. If we have to kick a 40 yard field goal best believe we are going to find a way!

"The only thing that can stop the Owls are turnovers." Count on it ...

    Oakland-7

    Ooltewah-6(2 field goals)

You best find a kicker when you are playing Ooltewah's defense...

  12. Most of these schools that are on top of the national poll year in and year out have 3000+ students. Maryville has 1500 ...

Miami NorthWestern has 4000 students as does Lowndes County Ga. Byrnes is also a HUGE school.
