  1. I think that kids will always have there mess ups and get caught up in the moment, but as adults there is no excuse to get onto kids and heckle them. I know that the Forrest-Huntland rivalry has always been a good one in baseball but there were times when I played that the fans from Forrest did some things that were pretty bad directed at me. Maybe the Huntland fans did too, I dont know, but as adults I think that you have no excuse to act stupid at games. I also think it embarrasses their kids, but that is only my opinion. Good luck to district 11a and great job Coach Michael Tipps.

  2. Congrats again to the Lady Hornets, and also to Hilary for being named MVP. But gov7 is right, on Monday when region play starts everyone is 0-0 again. Take time to cherish what you did but not too much time because you have to get focused again. You guys can do it but you have to want it just as much as you did the district. Dont be satisfied with district, go after more!! Good luck and congrats Coach Ray, Coach Rob, and Coach Michael! By the way we play for our district title tonight to so hopefully we will get the same results as you.

  3. I know I picked Huntland and I stick with it but just remember this, when tournament time gets here everyone is 0-0. The regular season is just for seeding, so what you did does not mean a lot. I have seen a lot of upsets over the years so you never know what might happen this time of year. I do predict that there will be a good team going home early somewhere in this tournament. Just my thoughts though!! There has already been one upset in the play in game so you never know what will happen.

  4. Since everyone always says I bash you on here I will be the first one to congratulate you on this accomplishment. It is a great one. I have not seen you play this year but obviously you are doing some good things for your team. Remember team success will bring more individual success. I will give you one piece of advice for school, do not rely on high school achievements when you get there. When you get to college everyone was the STAR on their high school team even some of the walk ons. I think you have a tremendous upside and a chance to be a good college player but you just like I did when i went to college I had to improve my game and how hard I played. It is just a different game when you get to college, just remember that. I think sometimes when you play small division ball and you are talented that you can sometimes dominate and be good without always giving your best effort, but not when you get up against better competition. Best of luckand i will definitely keep my eye out for you.

  5. Cross-Up,

Just wanted to know where you are and how the Vikings are doing. You were giving them a lot of pre-season hype and I have not heard from you in while. What is going on?? How is Mr. Townley playing right now?? Please give me some info..

  6. Congrats Lady Hornets! Good luck against Cascade. You do have a chance to be special but dont take anything for granted. You are the hunted this year and everyone will be after you so be ready to play every time you step on the floor. Remember this is the team that ended your season last year!!

  7. Please do not think that I am wishing him bad luck because I want to see all players and coaches in 11A do well. I am not going to mention any names of the coaches but I promise a lot of them are down on him. They say that he thinks he is too cool and does not play hard enough. I dont know cause I have not seen it, but that is the word out on him. Also some of the people that were around him during AAU say the same thing. Last year I was on here saying some things toward Jamar to see how he would respond. I like him and want to see him win the award and any others he can win, but that is the word on the street with even college coaches. I dont claim to know it all but I do know what it takes to play at the next level, and when I was around him he did not understand it. That is why I say some of the things I say to him to challenge him, not to put him down. Sometimes there is a hidden message behind everything said! I know he has a lot of potential, but that will only take you so far. I just thinks he needs to play a little harder, and if he does he could DOMINATE that district without a doubt!! There is no one in that league that could stop him if he would just play a little harder. And he has to realize he could average about 20 a game and not even play that hard, but if he did he would average 30. And again that is my opinion. I just dont want you to think I am agaisnt him. He knows me and I would say this to his face, because I think it would help him in the long run. Good luck Jamar! And not to be disrespectful he is not as good as any player in the state at any level. Lets see Tyler Smith, the Delk Twins, the kid from Antioch, there are some teams in Memphis that he would not start for.

  8. Gomab I agree with almost everything you write but what is your reasoning on picking Jamar as MR. Basketball? Maybe you know something I dont know. I hear alot of people are down on him and maybe he is overrated, and this is coming from college coaches, not fans. I have not seen him play in two years but I heard he didnt even get a lot of run on the AAU team this summer. Maybe I am off on this info and that is why I am asking? I just cant see him winning that award, and I will tell you another reason why I say that. The coaches vote to see who the finalists are and all the coaches that coach against him in that area have all said that he is not as good as everyone says. I hope he does win and does well but to say he is the favorite I just done see it. Maybe you can give me some info that I dont know about. By the way where is he going to go to school now since not UTC?
