Hold on a second, tell us why you think USJ will win. I mean Westview has some really good looking players that could influence this game. Among these are Emily Belote already with about 26 goals on the year and Jennie Brooks. They also have a strong goalie in Carah Hooten and a good D. I don't know who will win but you can bet on a very physical soccer game tomorrow.

I think the teams traded games from the last two seasons. Westview went to Ballard Memorial last year and now Ballard Memorial is coming to Westview. Westview needed that game last year and is probably excited over a possibly stress-less game for them.

Union city is part of the three way tie for first place in this region so why are they fighting to stay alive.  They are very alive in this race and with and open date this week they are preparing for Westview two weeks in advance.  Look for a big win for Union City against Westview.

Union City is still in it but my advise is to take one week at a time, hittman13. I don't know how, but this is the same UC team that lost to Obion County a few weeks ago right? That was a big rivalry game and so is Westview v. Union City- how they will do is still to be determined... although I would say Westview will win in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for all your input. I do agree that Westview is the best team right now also but there is still a lot of football to be played. I think if Westview can stick it out for a few more weeks they have 1st or 2nd in the region. Milan has to bring back some wins and become the team they want to be. Everything is still up for grabs though.

Yeah, Guy looks to be the difference maker this year. Looks like Westview sure missed him last year but it still gained much needed experience all over the field. Good blocking and Markei finding the holes has accounted for all of Westview's wins this year. Hats off to them!

Just by looking at the record of each team, it seems that Dresden would win- but no wait who's Dresden played again???? Just by looking at the teams Westview has beaten in a tough scheldule- it will be a good game but Westview will win. My guess-35-14 Westview

What are some thoughts on the game this Friday between rivals Dresden and Westview?

After seeing Markei Guy tear it up Friday night, I would have to say that he is one of the best RBs in at least West Tennessee. He made huge plays crucial to Westview's victory over Huntington. Not only is he fast, he also hits the holes well to break away for extra yardage.

Westview will upset Fayette-Ware. They have a good offensive set and good defense. The best thing in this game will be the post match-up. Last night at Gibson County, Fayette-Ware didn't seem to have a real offense- they would come down, get it into the post, and see what came out of that. Then they would get big offensive boards and put it back in. That will be the key to this game. If Westview can pull down the boards against the big Fayette-Ware team.

I disagree with your post about Westview. You said that this MW team was about 10th in the last 20 years, but really this team is better in my opinion. They have a different type of team, but they are still good. They have a quick team, but if they waste the clock 2 mins and still get a lay-up, it is a good thing. Whoever they play, it will be a close game, especially in the regionals.

Westview can still regroup and play like a great team. But in order for that to happen, Latoya Bellamy has to step up like she's been playing. Last night, they could have really used Fuqua down low. Latoya can be that player that really makes Westview really good again.

Look for Ramarcus Booker to do a lot of good for Westview in the upcoming weeks. He has a good shot and when he goes to the basket strong, no one can stop him.

Westview is my team, and despite their bad play at Union City, they will do better in the playoffs. I think if they do have another chance at Milan, they will really do well, and probably win.

I think that Westview still has a good shot at going on in the playoffs. Despite their loss to Milan early in the season, they have grown a lot and are a much better team. In my opinion, Milan hasn't gotten much better since then. I'm hoping to see Westview go far.

Westview will have a hard time breaking even this year. They are probably not the best team in the county, from what I saw at all the summer camps Greenfield looks like the best team. You cant replace all those graduating seniors with guys who dont have much playing time and

expect to not have a letdown.

Which camps are you talking about? Most of the camps Westview went to they didn't have all of the main players in them. Only did the UTM camp did Westview have most of it's players in because of it's location in Martin.

I think Westview's gonna be a really good team this year. Although they did lose important seniors last year in Marcus Bright, Justin Harrell, Louis Davis, and Tyler Dotson, they have role-players in Marlon Bright, Jason Black, Andres Cedeno, and Ramarcus Booker. They are a young, fast team, but I think they will turn some heads this season. They have a large sophomore and freshmen class this year which will do some things in two or three years with a little experience.
