  7. Dear Coaches,

Wilson Central High School in Lebanon, TN is going to offer a boy's high school team camp available during June 8 -10. It will be for 9th grade, JV, & varsity teams. I know for us the cost of team camps at universities have sky-rocketed over the years, so we wanted to offer a solid economical alternative. We will be charging $300.00 per varsity team, $200.00 per JV & 9th grade teams. There will be no fee per player just the set amount per team you bring. You could bring all three teams for $700.00 which is way below what you could pay. We are located in a fantastic location & will be using area gyms to offer more places/times for your teams to play. We would love to have the best teams possible from all classifications and will also try our best to give you an outstanding camp that will give your teams a chance to get better. There will also be a hospitality room for between games. If you have any questions or need more info feel free to contact Troy Bond at bondt@wcschools.com or at (615) 453-4656.

  9. A great honor for a great man.

I was at the game tonight and was touched by the outpouring of support for the ol' coach.  One of the Central players asked me after the game if Coach Gibbs was still there.  I told him no and asked if he knew Coach Gibbs.  He answered, "No, but he refereed many of my jr.high games."  I asked the player if he had known what a great man Coach Gibbs was and all he had accomplished and he said no.  That's why he wanted to see Coach.  He wanted to congratulate him.  It was neat to see the young man gain an awareness of the history of Blue Devil basketball and Coach Hester Gibbs

I believe he was truly surprised by the honor.  From now on, the Lebanon Blue Devils will play basketball on Hester Gibbs Court.  Cool.

Coach Gibbs was a very hard nosed & competitive coach who always tried to get the maximum out of his players both mentally & physically. It was a great night for Coach Gibbs & I am very proud of him having the floor named in his honor but more so for him making the TSSAA Hall of Fame. He is well deserving of both honors.
