  1. About perry county you are correct talent level is down. They are 5 foot nothing slow and can not shoot. They do work hard. As for changes Lomax should have left this year but he didn't want to run out on the girls. Lomax is a proven winner. This will probley be his last year no he's not geting fired he'll be in the director seat.

    Thanks for the info. Does anyone have 10AA?

  3. What really surprised me about PC is only two players even shot the ball in the first half.  These two players had all but 4 points of their score.  Two other girls scored 2 apeice at the free throw line.  If they had more scorers they'd really but awesome.

    PC has players that can score. But, when weatherly went to the bench they started shooting 30 footers before anyone could get back to rebound.

  4. Alias 14,

    That is what my child has said to me in the past too.  However the coach tells them if a parent comes crying to him just go ahead and turn your uniform in before they get there.  You are stuck with telling your child to hang in there and play hard.  Even though you know there soul is being defeated by their coach.  I know kids who received mvp awards at their state tournaments in 8th grade and go on to this school and receive no playing time even in the jv games. That makes no sense to me .  Everyone has a bad game every now and then, so try some other players , who knows it might be their night to shine.  I love to go and watch coaches who sub deep on the bench.  That truly shows what your complete team is made of.

    gon2thenet: You should have sent your child to Lobelville middle,like I said before the players coming out of Lobelville are fundamently sound.

  5. Perry County only has 3 seniors on the team, the starters consist of 1 senior, 3 juniors, and 1 freshman. Two of the freshmen are in the top five on the team in scoring. and 1 freshman is the 3rd leading rebounder and two more are at 6th & 7th on that list. I can see the point you are trying to make, the subs definately need playing time on EVERY team. But I don't see where Perry County can be criticized in this instance.

    {please note that I do not have a child on this team, or even a girl for that matter, and I have only been to one PC basketball game this season, I just wanted to set the record straight before one of our hotheads got on here and fired a few across your bow ;)}

    1AMAN, you are correct if the freshman coming off the bench started I think she would be the #2 rebounder. The coaches are playing a third freshman more, trying to get her ready. She was behind the two freshman out of lobelville but that was not her fault she will be a good player. I think the coaches are doing a good job. A coach has got to play his best players. If not, he needs to get another job.

  6. What happened to Rhodes this year anyway? I know she got hurt against S-town, but she came back. Why isn't she playing as much as last year? Has Leegan taken her spot for good? It kind of reminds me of Wooten a few years ago. SHe was a big part of the team her Jr. year, then she sprained her ankle and didn't play even after she recovered.

    Leegan and Rhodes both start, K. Dabbs started for Rhodes when she was hurt. K Dabbs should start but NOT in Rhodes spot.
