  1. Sorry fellas....but I have already started having football withdrawals.  I wish I was into other sports like I am football, and I have tried, I went to a basketball game Friday night, and that was a total waste of two hours of my life that I can never get back.....I have no interest in watching guys with one piece bathing suits roll around on a mat together, so that leaves wrestling out....although a couple of redneck women mud wrestling in bathing suits could be mighty interesting, see if you can set that up, Stars.....maybe I should give Hockey a try, I don't understand it or know the rules, but it seems to have a lot of contact involved...anyone else up for giving Hockey a try?

    You need to hook up with APB. He is a hockey fan.

  2. To the best of my recollection the field will be turf next season in the same place with a few renovations to the stadium but the structure will remain the same.

    Turf on the same field, Jumbotron, home bleachers get metal bench seats added, new field house, and expanded press box. Straight from GR's mouth on Saturday.

  3. Worst case scenario, Worley plays as well as he was b/4 getting injured will suffice considering the weapons he will have (O-line will be fine in time). Also, Dobbs was a true freshman taking his lumps primarily against top 10 competition (Vandy the exception). Its way too early to write him off, Ferguson from what I have heard is the best passer of the bunch and IF he can run the read-option anywhere near as well as Dobbs, maybe he should be the guy, b/c w/ the recievers we have, it is paramounts whoever the QB is can get the ball to them.....

  4. Everyone from that era always talks about Dutchie,but Greg O was a great back also. Those state championship teams from 77,78,79 are very under rated in my opinion!

    We were the last AA team (76). We voted to play up to compete with the Knoxville AA teams (Rule, Karns, Cleveland, etc). We thought A would be too easy. But, the next three classes have championship rings.

  5. Ah, the mock encomium that offers me ironic praise, one who by orthodox propriety should instead receive naught but invective! Dearest peppy, I must be seen to remonstrate at such paradoxical approbation.

    Alas! My thoughts and my discourse as madmen's are,

    At random from the truth vainly expressed;

    For I have sworn thee fair, and thought thee bright,

    Who are as maleficent as perdition, as base as the barrow wight.

    :blink: What did he say?

  6. Why are you bumping APB?

    Unlimited weight is NOT good for youth football.....especially the younger kids. Admittedly, the midgets certainly handle it better but the risk to the younger less physically developed participants is too high. It may be OK for the Knoxville leagues....a much lower quality football game versus the Blount league games.
