That’s not how it works. The locations aren’t set until later in the year

Eagleville knew they were hosting the last 2 years before the season ever started. When Tssaa went to 4 classes and Lavergne passed on hosting 3 host spots came open.

I’d bet Eagleville will be a host until spring Fling moves or goes to college fields.

Well I wasn't gonna go down that road, but you opened the gate...

Whichever rankings you're quoting are useless. 9 out of 10 people outside of Morgan County would not rate Coalfield above Gordonsville, Peabody, Eagleville, UH, or McKenzie. I'm no mathematician, but that ranks them 6th by my calculations.

And don't even start that 27 wins stuff, Coalfield played a mediocre schedule and half their schedule is played against a weak district. Historically, any team from that district who has even average talent wins 20+ a season by default just from the number of bad teams they get to play at least twice a year.

Now don't get me wrong, this 2022 Coalfield team is better than most of the other teams that have come out of that district in the past. They're a fine little team. But now they're in a grid full of finer teams.

They'll almost certainly make it to the semifinals, by merit of beating two teams in their bracket with loosing records. They'll get mauled by Eagleville both times. Nothing to be ashamed of though, they've been doing that to lots of folks this season.

Well sounds like you’ve dug into much more than I have. Going by scores and how many runs they’ve scored they sure seem legit to me. I’ve also heard they are young and could easily be the A favorite in 2023.

Wow the brackets are definitely skewed. Eagleville gets the #6, #7, and #8 teams, AT HOME.

Other side of the bracket will be an absolute dog fight.

Coalfield is ranked #4 and the #3 team is eliminated. So not sure how in the world you would consider them to be #6 at best.
Average over 9 runs a game with a deep pitching staff. Also 27 wins is second most in A it appears.

  5. The Middle Tenn Chr. School football team is looking to host a 1A bowl game on Thursday November 2nd. We are a second year program that played a non- region schedule and would like to reward our kids with a extra game. Please serious inquiries and small schools only. You can call Eddie Bassham at 931 215 7856.

    Thanks MTCS Coaching Staff.

  6. IN pool 1 which includes Lexington, Knoxville Central, and Adamsville

Pool play- Lexington 5 Adamsville 1

    Lexington 11 Knoxville Central 10

Lexington wins pool, Adamsville and Knoxville Central play at 10:00 am the winner will play in the consolation game at 4:00.

In pool 2 which includes Huntingdon, Hardin Co., and USJ there is a 3 way tie between the three teams. The first tie breaker is head to head which is nullified due to the fact each team beat each other. The next tie breaker is least runs allowed in all games pool and nonpool. Hardin Co. and Huntingdon both play Saturday so that will finalize the champion of pool 2 and the runner-up. Here is how many runs each team has given up going into Saturday.

    Huntingdon 10 Hardin Co. 12 USJ 21

    Huntingdon vs. Adamsville@ 12:00

    Hardin Co. vs. Lexington@ 2:00

If a tie in runs allowed it will go to most runs scored which would be

    USJ 31, Hardin Co. 15, Huntingdon 13

The winner of the pool will play in the championship game @6:00 and the runner up will play at @ 4:00 in the consolation game. The third place team will be out of the tournament.

  7. I beleive Lexington might actually be stronger than last year their hitting lineup is solid as a rock and their pitching staff goes deeper than i have ever seen in one team. Brandon Manness has really got his fastball going. And the defense is looking strong with a fast outfield and consistent infield. Look for them to do big things this year.
