  1. Newell & Partee are from Northwest Right/ So are you telling me Northwest has 2 Dynamic Duo's now thats crazy, maybe they are one of the best teams in the State. I knew they were good but a Duo, I quess only time will tell, Oh Yeah don't get crossed-up
  2. I notice none of the coaches responsed to this message I know the truth hurts, so if the shoe fits wear it......
  3. Just slightly better a hair better, that is it even with out a well known PG, there talking about Freeman running the Point now thats BIG trouble. just too small, he's barely 5'0 ft tall.. Why are you people still talking about Mont Central and Brandon Burney, this is not the 8th Grade. Too many good players for one person to carry a team ask Thomas Haynes with Northwest last year. Mont Central will finish 6th in Clarksville, Come on do the Math!!!!! Don't get Crossed-up
  4. I find It so hard to believe yall didn't mention Kevin Townley, as one of the best, when most PG's are scared to face him, afraid of being shook to out their shoe's, well because he not Clarkville home grown, you didn't mention him. But after this season you won't for get. Thomas Haynes & Kevin are by far the best Guard Combo in the State. There's a lot of quick point guards out there, but do they really know the Game, Brandon is not a PG, not even close. You know its kind of funny when you dominate the comp in Middle School by high school is a Reality Check, and College is even bigger. I like a lot of the Players in Clarksville, but Ask Coach Charles AAU Coach who is best player was this year. No respect probably means a lost. Never Get Crossed-UP
  5. Clarksville are you ready for some B-Ball, this is going to be a Great year for Clarksville Basketball/ There are so many great Players this year its hard to say. I want to give props to the Clarksville Magic Team.. for going 15-1 (16 & up) I know a lot of people don't know this so good Job coach Charles, I think Coach said there winning margin where by 20 points are more. I like to recognize those players Quinn Bradley 2G (6'3) Clarksville High School Kevin Townley PG (5'11) Northwest High School Will Newell PF (6'4) Northwest High School Mi Mi SF (6'1) Clarksville High School Ben Bond F (6'3) Rossview High School Chris Flecther PG (5'10)Clarksville High School Alex Bowers 2G (6'1) Christian Acad Oh I do Like Rossview Pre-Season Finish 1.Northwest 2.Henry County 3.Kenwood 4.Northeast 5.Clarksville 6.Rossview 7.Dickson 8.Stewart County 9.Creekwood Please don't get Cross-up
  6. Hello B-Ball Players, Parents, and Coaches, to me the best player really starts in the Class room. You can be the best Player in the world, but if you don't hit the books, you'll be just another Player. All these Coaches out here need to explain to the Parent and the player, About grade point averages, SAT and ACT scores, this is where the real playing begins. Players need to learn about how to be Scouted & then recruited by a Team that fits your ability and future, weather its basketball are business. Coaches need to start checking on these great athletes in the class room, not because a player can win you a championship, because you care about the Players future, being recruited is very hard and young Basketball-players need to know that. I hate to say this but going to college it is a business, and not one Coach in America wants to recruit a thug or some type of trouble maker. It doesn't matter if your on everybodies First Team. You still have to perform well in the Class-room, The rumors are out their half of the Basketball players in TN spent their Summer, in Summer School. What a Shame Parents & Coaches So the Next Time you post your First Team add the Grade point Average.-----Here are a couple of recruiting WEBS---------- www.nsr-inc.com www.recruitzone.com Please take the time to go to these web-sites I can tell this I have assess to some of these 1st Teamers, 2nd Teamers, and 3rd Teamers Grade Point Averages, some of these guys might not graduate...
  7. 1. THOMAS HAYNES 2G & KEVIN TOWNLEY PG (Northwest High) I like the overall basketball skills of these two young man. They have the Big Time Players mentally. I heard, That the (Northwest boys) took 2nd place in the Burt-Cobb league, this is a Mens league, Thats a heck of a accomplishment for 15-17 year old boys (I heard Townley & Haynes simply killed every PG & 2G in the League) Thanks for the info Coach Kendrick. This may be the best Guard Duo in the State only time will tell. I also believe these two guys will play at the next level D1 2.ANTWAN HARRIS F & MIKE SAMPSON 2G/F (Kenwood) Man I love these two guys game, Mike is so quick for his size, these two guys are great athelets, I saw Mike (hey I want to be like Mike) at the Austin Peay Camp, he was simply carring Kenwood on his back. Antwan Is a BIG MAN KILLER, his inside presents is outstanding. The only reason Townley & Haynes are a half inch better because of overall basketball skills. (these two guys will start JC level then more up) 3. Willam Sturdivent 2G & Zech Teague F (Henry County) These two young men can flat out play. This is probably the best inside outside Duo in the District. I love their winning mentally, they simply win games, Teague has more heart then most college level players. I think these guys are most def going to play at the next level. Harris & Sampson just edge these guys out by a hair. I tell these top 3 Dynamic Duo are awsome. 4. Quinn Bradley 2G & Tario Frederick PG (Clarksville) People have forgot about Tario he's a 3 year starter, yeah I know he's played on better teams in the past, but he still a 3 year starter who I believe can handle the presure of the game, Quinn is a outstanding player, & believe this guard tandrum will give Townley & Haynes heck. but out-side shooting would prevail. So please don't count out Clarksville, I like to see Tario work on his out side shooting he might make it to a (JC College) with one year left Quinn a for-sure D-1 player. 5. Calvin Carter 2g/F & Drake Reed F (Northeast) Well this year will most def tellthe story on Mr. Carter skills with all of Northeast Success of last year, but I still like these two players Reed young but strong, and Calvins a good athelete that can do everything on the court. They will miss Mike Giles, but the roll player will show up. I think if Carter & Reed are playing their best things in the District gets a little more tougher. Well thats my top 5 even though their are alot of roll player that will determine the out come of this year. Oh Yeah if any-body from Austin Peay is reading my starting 5 vs yours, Hey its about even Townley PG Burney 2G Haynes 3 Sampson F Harris F Carter 6th man Never get crossed-up
  8. I guess some people didn't like my 1st Team from Clarksville, but I pick players on Performance not popularty, thats how players get their heart broke... Strenghths & Weaknesses of my 1st Team Players. Thomas Haynes, (6'4") 2G/F (Northwest) Great Size, and Deep Shot, can rebound and block shots, can handle the ball a little, tends to shot out side to much, should use the low-Post a little more. Should do well at the D1 level Brandon Burney (6'1") 2G (Mont Central) Quick as lightning, his first step will burn you, has a nice tear drop shot, and goes to the hole, and rebounds pretty good for his size. Outside shot-suspect streaky, ball handling not real great, a little skinny, needs more size to play at the next level, doesn't play hard all the time Well I still think he's a D1 Player Kevin Townley (5'11") PG (Northwest) Can handle the ball better then any PG in Middle Tn, Great Court vision, Quick to the Hole, Can shoot Consistantly from the outside. Kevin has killer cross over moves, that can break down a defense, like Burney skinny, needs to pump iron, dosen't play hard all the time, He's another D1 Player with hard-work Mike Sampson (6'4")2G/F (Kenwood) You have to love his size and quickness, plays hard all the time, Consistant can rebound and score with the best of them, can carry a team on his back. Has good basketball skills, Mike needs to work on outside Shooting in order to play 2G at the next level, but he does have a pretty good mid-range game. Mike can easily be a high school star I Like Mike at (JC College) needs more ball handleing skills & Outside shooting. Antwan Harris (6'3") F (Kenwood) This young man is a rebounding machine, I love his inside game, he can put a lot of points up real Quick, 6'7" will have problems with Antwan because he knows how to play the game. When he was a Freshman it wasn't fair, Antwan needs to work on jump shot, out side shooting, ball handleing skills, I love Antwan at the High School Level, but in order to play D1 at the 3 postion you need a jump shoot and ball handling skills (Antwan will be a great JC College Player) but once he delevope his skills he'll be playing on ESPN Honorable Mention: Calvin Carter Northeast: I like Calvin Carters Game if it wasn't for Thomas Haynes & Brandon Burney he be on my 1st Team Player, Hey don't get me wrong this just Pre-Season and only time will tell Never get Crossed-up tomorrow the best dynamic Duo in the District by ranking.
  9. I told you I do the Kenwood break-down, the HEART of Kenwood, Coach Jackson, he's my 1# Coach...He's a great teacher of the game, with great knowledge of the Game. Well he's in the top 10 in the State of Tn.. I know he had to be disappointed in his Seniors proformance of last year, heck this is a new time for redemption. Well Mike Sampson will the center of attention this year, he's alot of peoples MVP, well he was a little over-rated last year but I'm here to tell you he will redeem him self, As Sampson goes Kenwood goes, Sampson 6'4" frame should help Mr. Harris on the Boards, because the guard are very small and they don't pose a out side threat. (They could use Josh Artist) Antwan Harris Hey I like this guy, you can go back to his Freshman year and there is nothing but consistance. Antwan plays a lot bigger then 6'3", he brings great confidence to him self and the players around him... He can play against any 6'7" player in Middle Tn. He's proven that.. He'll get alot of rebounds off of miss shots this year because of weak out side shooting.. He should try to develop a jump shot also.. But he is a first team player in Clarksville.. ( He'll make a great JC Player)(Only because of size, otherwise D1) One of the missing Links is Jerry Howell, if Jerry is healthy watch Clarksville, this will make it hard on North. That gives Kenwood that third weapon. By now everybody should know about the TWINs and they won't be ready until Jan, by than it maybe too late.. I know Coach Jackson will have his boys ready to play some outstanding defense, because Offense needs help. Don't get me wrong Kenwoods JV showed some promise last year maybe some of these guys will make good roll players. Roll Players, One thing I like about Coach Jackson the early morning weight training.. Coach I Feel you.. Next team I'll talk about is Northeast High Coach Copper might be the 4th best coach in Clarksville, I say forth because thats what he settle for last year, when he more talent any team in the Tourney...
  10. The Northwest High break-down, and the reason I believe Norhtwest will flat out win the Regional Championship......... Lets start at the PG Kevin Townley who grow about 4in from last year. I can tell you this, all fast-breaks will end in a dunk, all the starter can Jump out the GYM. Kevin Townley a Floor General lightning fast. probably has one of the best cross-overs in the State, and can shoot from deep consistantly..That will help Thomas Haynes BIG Time.. I can recall at the Austin Peay Camp where Mr. Townley crushed Tre Trotter for 20 points and 10 assist and the Rossview Coach started guarding him with a 6'4" Forward to slow him down. (Hey do the math.)Kevin will play the game hard & consistantly Thomas Haynes 6'4" will show why he's on everybodies first team as he kills smaller guards in the in-side, and he won't have to worry about being the primary scorer. Thomas has worked very hard over the Summer. Outside & Inside most def a D1 pospect.. Mr. Haynes can finally work out the Gym smiling, You know like Ashley did last year. Will Newell (6'5") is the third best leaper in Clarksville, other then (Antwan Harris & Quinton Partee) This year Will worked the weights hard..Now has confidence that he lacked last year. Thanks Coach Charles (Clarksville Magic) Please if your under 6'2" get out his way when he come through the lane you might get dunked on...I'm serious Quiton Partee. Can simply jump out of the Gym, hey he lost a little confidence last year, but the Floor General has reunited with Partee.. (I Hope you didn't forget their Freshman year) Moms don't let your kids play for Coach Artist. Hey Its going to-be hard to get rebounds. Oh-Yeah he will dunk on you right under the rim. Ask Rossview Jarrett Toller 6'7" Center played a little last year and said coach are we going to win any-more games?? Jarrett is ready this year. I don't know a lot about Jarrett, but I heard he's a big man that can run the floor..and has pretty good Hops, heck he's 6'7" That bench is strong watch out for Rocelle Martin 6th man, instant offense... Hey I can't lie I like their chances even with Coach Ross at the helm.. Maybe he'll get a new chair this year.. I've never seen Coach Ross so Happy!!!!!??????? Well I heard their going to be in the Oakland Classic 29-30 Nov that should be their first test. Stratford, Maplewood, Oakland. Bring your camera's and your pen & pad. You'll see what Crossup talking about... Next I'll break down Kenwood, who has a Great Coaching Staff
  11. You better Watch Kevin Townley, he's the best unknown PG in the state, He's cruched most of the point guards you have listed, You can catch him at the Oakland Tourney coming up...Fasten your seat belt and get ready for a cross-over.. That players in TN has never seen, Ask Coach Charlse from the Clarkville MAGIC (16 and Up) Oh yeah, Kevin is just 15
  12. 1ST TEAM Kevin Townley PG (5'11") Northwest High Brandon Burney SG (6'1") Mont Central High Thomas Haynes G/F (6'4") Northwest High Mike Sampson F (6'4") Kenwood High Antwan Harris F (6'4") Kenwood High 2ND TEAM Tre Tre Trotter PG (5'7") Rossview High Alex Bowser SG (6'1") Mont Ch Acd Calvin Carter G/F (6'3") Northeast High Quinn Bradley F (6'3") Clarksville High Will Newell PF (6'5") Northwest High 3RD TEAM Tario Frederick PG (5'9") Clarksville High Graylin Tuck SG (6'0") Northeast High Drake Reed G/F (6'3") Northeast High Quiton Partee F (6'4") Northwest High Ben Bonds F (6'3") Rossview High Northwest Maybe a team to look out for, they have Size, Quickest and a Boat load of talent.. bigger then some College teams. Kevin Townley PG (5'11") Thomas Haynes SG (6'4") Will Newell F (6'5") Quinton Partee F (6'4") Jarrett Toller C (6'7") I like Kenwood's chances also with Mike Sampson & Antwan Harris, but the question of the day who's going to run the Point? Northeast well they should of won it all last year!!! Rossview could finish strong as long as they play together, I think they still are having growing pains. Clarksville well Bradley and Frederick will have to work very hard to even break even. Mont Central be glad your not 3A Brandon good he will be tired very tired.... Henry County will challenge Northwest but North may have just a little to much talent and Size..
