Maybe you should have asked for pre Christmas tourneys?

 

That's not what I'm looking for.

Does anyone know of any tourneys after Christmas for 0809. We are trying to complete our schedule. Thanks.

The Upperman/LA girls game is tonight at 7:30 instead of 6.

The LA/Station Camp boys game is at 7:45 Tuesday instead of 6.

Hey Scrub, my wife works with a girl who lives in RBS. The last we have heard is that those who have died is up to 11. Now that is not confirmed thru the local authorities or at least to my knowledge at this point. I sure wouldn't intentionally tell you falsely. They are still without electricity as well in that area. My prayers go out to all families with lost loved ones and the injured as well through out the state. May God comfort all in this time of need.

Overton County schools are out for snow today will the Livingston @ York game still be played tonight? I can't remember the snow policy from last year.

Devil, I'm posting on this just so it doesn't get negative about Jordan. He just decided he was burned out and didn't want to play anymore. He made a mature decision, handled himself in a very respectable way, and everyone is on good terms. We do and will miss him and what he could be on the court, but we respect his decision.

The second annual Hog-Eye Shootout Jr. High Jamboree at Livingston Academy has been set for Thursday and Saturday, October 18 & 20, 2007. The registration deadline is October 1, 2007. If you didn't get an invitation, you may register your team by calling Coach Melton @ 931-823-5458 and leave a detailed message including:

 

-Team Name and Mascot

-Coach's name and contact #

-8th grade enrollment

-Your school's fax #

-# of players (for T shirts)

-Boys or girls team

I'll have to say that this class is special in that it is loaded with talent statewide.

Recently retired(last year) Clarksville Northwest High Boys Coach Willard Ross was shot and killed by a stray bullet yesterday, while in a fireworks tent at a Walmart parking lot in Clarksville. Coach Ross taught and coached for 40 years in the Montgomery County System. Coach Ross touched the lives of many people in District 10AAA. He never gave up on kids long after all others had. He was beloved by his coaching peers. My heart aches for his wonderful family. He will be missed greatly.

 

Sounds like a great guy. Did he coach at Northwest this past season? God bless him and his family.

Do you have a list of the teams that will be in the TTU camp in the middle of July?

any results for westview camp?

 

 

Keep in mind that some teams are at some camps without their full rosters. That has been the case for LA for sure, but here are some results.

 

McNairy Central Camp..LA lost to Bolivar in OT and beat McNairy Central, Ripley, Corinth MI, and Alcorn Central MI.

 

Wilson Central Camp...LA lost to Oakland, Shelbyville, and Kenwood but beat Coffee County, Warren County, Cheatham County, DCA, and Hillwood.

 

Westview Camp...LA lost to Henry County but beat Covington twice, Crockett County, USJ, and Obion County & won the tourney bracket.

 

That's 14-5 so far, with some JV games tacked onto that. LA goes to TTU in July.

 

Other games I've seen....Shelbyville defeated Oakland, Macon County defeated Cascade, Obion County defeated Milan, Ripley defeated Henry County, and the others seem to run together

Looks like Milan, South Fulton, Covington, Henry County, Westview, Lake County, Crockett County, Camden, Livingston Academy, Obion County, White House, USJ, Lexington, Portland, Hardin County, Ripley, Carlisle KY, Chester County, Hickman County KY, Dresden.

Livingston Academy is going to McNairy Central, Wilson Central, Westview, and Tennessee Tech.

So far I think these are the teams that will be in the tournament next season. Brentwood Academy, Haywood County, Independence, Livingston Academy, Mt. Juliet, Riverdale, Sycamore, and Union City. Looks like a pretty good tourney.
