  1. Valid point. We will see what happens I think Gallatin wins by 2 scores if it is true that beech pushed mj's line around.

uh? Gallatin by 2 scores?? wow! pretty interesting that you can run down MJ on here, make that type of prediction, have it handed to ya, and then be silent??

  2. I sense a lot of ENTITLEMENT here... Come on guys... so what, you win half your games over 3 years, and you act like you are entitled to 8-2, 9-1 every year... If I am reading correctly, it has gone from 4 wins to 5 wins to 6 wins over the last 3 season - heading in the right direction.

I just looked back to the 5 previous seasons before the Perry's came to MJ... MJ won 1,1,4,5,4, over the 5 years... that is 15-36 with no playoff appearances and one bowl game). I guess that was all coaching too... doubt it.

I personally know about half the coaching staff, and the Perry's very well. I can tell you this much... 6-6 is not from a lack of desire, effort, sweat, lost sleep, prayers, research, studying, creating, scheming, heart, and sacrifice on Coach T's part or any coaches for that matter... Sometimes, you just don't have all it takes in the arcenal. Sure, mistakes are made, not the best play is called, and they will be the first to admit that. NO ONE is perfect. Could they have gone 7-5, maybe, who knows??? I know this much, it is a freaking game. yes a G-A-M-E... not a life and death matter like many so called sports fans act like it is. His first head coaching job could not be any harder... he is following a legend, his father... and I bet his father would say that Coach T is just fine for where he was after his first 3 years as a head coach. Yes, it was Coach T's desire to take the position, but come on... give him a break!

Bad mouth peeps all you want... really, where does that get you in life? Nowhere. I know this much... those players are loved, taught character and discipline and taught how to take lessons learned in the weight room, practice field and game field and apply then to life now and later when they become men with a wife and kids. There is a ton you can learn from losses and disappointments... and you can learn a lot through adversity... true character is showed. I'm seeing character revealed through CoachT.Com posts that is appauling and it's over a GAME. Come on... why not offer encouragement, support, prayers... do all you can to get the community to rally behind the decisions of the Administration... it's out of all of our control. Administration is in their positions for a reason... to make the best decisions for the school, community and kids, and trust me, it is not just about W/L... Support now... don't jump on the bandwagon when things turn around...

  3. Looks like MJ faced some adversity late last night - bull crap targeting call that extended a Collierville drive late in the game... then 3 stops and great usage of time outs (Collierville wasted their 3 (not the best coaching)), a missed FG gives MJ the ball with 2 minutes left, 80 yards from paydirt with no timeouts... Adversity overcome... MJ playing next week. Collierville a long ride home. I think it's time for you boys to get behind this team... why not just swallow some pride and egos and just get behind all of them? For real!! Not a one of you can do anything about what happens on the field, so just rally the troops to support the Bears...players, coaches, managers and all! There are a couple hundred schools across the state whose season is over. Bears are still playing!

  4. Pride; I appreciate the advice. I'm not being negative about the defense; just know there is room for improvement and we need to get better to accomplish the goals they have set . My son ( who is a sophmore ) plays on the the D. I agree the season is getting ready to be much tougher now. With LaVergne getting the big upset over Oakland; their confidence will be sky high. Go BEARS !

BKisler you handled yourself well when speaking of the improvement on defense. You just simply made a statement without attacking anyone :)

  5. This is a no brainer prediction... White House has way too many weapons for the Panthers this year. Yeah, maybe the BDP struggled against Jo Byrns, but this Friday they will be a different team I am sure. I say 37-10 White House. I know Portland is preparing for the likes of #12, #8, #24, & #9 (all great players), but there is one dude they will hear from over and over again on Friday night on both sides of the ball. After Friday, everyone will know who I am referring to. Hit em hard cuz!

  6. Yes you are correct Perry has stepped it up. Perry did show me something tonight. And I do apologize to him. Now for you. I'm a real man and if you'd like to meet me, you step it up! Let me see how much of a man you are now!

Why did you wait 2 weeks for? Congrats to the Bears on a outstanding game on both sides of the ball and our coaching staff (INCLUDING LIL PERRY) Part of coaching is taking the glory and taking heat. I gave him alot of heat and now i'm giving him some glory.

MJPRIDE...honestly, I was surprised at the quote a few weeks ago, I had always seen you as being supportive of the program even in the tough times, but to call out a coach after a tough loss shocked me. There is no need for us to meet...you apologized, but giving a coach "some heat" and asking one to be fired is not the same thing, especially when I do not remember you ever giving much "heat" on here and then to go to that extreme was a stunner. I waited two weeks to calm down...I along with many others were livid at such a post. I know Lil Perry personally, and believe you me, he has taken heat over the D giving up points last year, and he agonizes over it personally, and pours his whole heart and life into it. The D is much better this year, and then after one loss this year he gets called out to be fired was a bit extreme, especially coming from someone who everyone thought was a strong support. You owned up and apologized, so you stepped up. Now lets just support this team for 11 more wins and bring home a ring and a state championship!

  7. OK.....I have sat back quitely and bit my toungue now for 2 weeks, but it is time to speak....

MJPRIDE, I want to remind you of something...Remember the garbage that came out of your mouth after the Gallatin game......"I will agree with you on the coaching staff if you will agree on the same as our coaching staff. I like coach Perry but the one knock on him is that he keeps his son around. It is not our players on the D it is the play calling or lack of. Lil Perry should NOT be a coaching on the HS level. It is easy to call against a team like McGavock because they have no run game. All you have to do is blitz and put pressure on the Qb."

How about LiL Perry now....6 points tonight...that's right 6 points given up and a huge win for MJ. If you are half the fan that you think you are, I think it is time you step up and apologize...you should do it in person if you are a real man or woman.

Congrats to the Bears....Coach Perry, "lil Perry", Curtis and all of ya! Great win....

  8. Mt Juliet has a very good offense but the defense is really bad...Could be a good game could be a blowout if MJ can't get it fixed.

Yeah.....GWAVE1 a blowout like your game could be if you do not get your OFFENSE fixed! A goose egg against H'ville? Green Wave should be home watching next week after that performance.

I wasn't being disrespectful. MJ has an obvious weakness on the defensive side if the ball...look at the entire season. Why bring Gallatin into the mix? Check our scores from all year and see which one doesn't fit.... Are you one of those 0-10 Portland fans that now have to rely on a former coach to get anywhere....thought so....

thought wrong there hot shot.......not a panther fan! just enjoy football......

  10. I give the edge to HHS only on the fact that their coaches are more expeirenced and don't collapse under pressure.....just see Riverdale Week 1. Wilson County teams coming to Sumner County is like UT going to the Swamp this weekend...Gurchieck will lose the game like Crompton will this week at FL. The fullback #33 hasn't been hit like he will this week in Da'ville. Should make for an interesting game but coaching prevail, HHS by a field goal in OT by Burger....or whatever his name is. Go Commandoes, just like I will be at the game.

This is about the most ridiculous posting that I think I have ever seen here on Coach T. For someone to say that the MJHS coaches may collapse under pressure - now that is about stupid! And #33 has been hit several times and just keeps coming.....I wish I could meet this idiot who said this......
