  1. The DB win streak / SH loosing streak is already at 20 - going for 21

    '95 - '12 is 18 W's plus add 2 Playoff W's

That's what I get for reading Doug Fritz ( DB reject Class '82 )

True about the 3 losses on last drive. DB could very easily be undefeated. Youth and inexperience cost them. The Indians dominated Sevier County for 3 qtrs but couldn't hold on. DB also controlled and dominated (look at stats) Ooltewah but just couldn't make the big play on offense. East Hamilton beat DB - by far the best and most talented team the Indians will play in the Regular Season this year.

  2. So let me get this straight... The Topper fans are predicting that SH will win this game and be Conference Champs, and in doing so by beating the Indians in a shoot out?

    # Kingsport owns Johnson City in Football, going for 20 W's in a row in the series (all under Clark)

#Graham Clark owns Stacey Carter - Carter has never won a match up against the G Man...at South or Science Hill

#Game is at historic J Fred Johnson Stadium where the Indian fans are always out in mass and very loud (along with THE BAND) for big games

    # Indians Defense has not allowed anybody to run up and down the field on them this season (74 El Grande Papa) will find McGue)

    # Indians young Offense has learned how to win games when the game is on the line winning 3 games this season on their final drive

    # Toppers will cheer TTKKA

Change that first K to stand for Kiss

    Kingsport 24

    Johnson City 20

  3. So looks like DB-Science Hill might be playing back to back games if the first round playoff game puts the two teams together again. Would be hard for one team to win both games if that happens. Does seem like that did happen once in this series several years ago, with DB winning both games. (I could of just dreamed that) I don't think the games were back to back though.

Nice try NoShO - but no cigar...you are 100%, but is not for being knowledgeable about DB football

And it was twice DB meeting SH in the playoffs during the Big East Conference days. Easy to understand how you wouldn't know that, since you didn't make those games either.

  4. Trust me... the only thing db owned tonight were the refs. WaCoff you may be waco but you're not stupid. If you were at the game you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Cap...this is hilarious. It's like you actually thought thatvNoSho WaCo was at the game. Everybody knows his Fridays are filled with the neighbors kiids Tea Parties 😎

  5. Hey all you DBers. Oak Ridge Coach Joe Gaddis said on his coaching show last night that he has talked to Coach Graham Clark about renewing the Oak Ridge DB rivalry starting year after next. This is awesome news for fans of both programs. Yes! (fist pump)

NOW YOUR TALKING FOOTBALL!!! Complete with the jimmy leg. My 2 favorite teams always put on a show. No other Rivalry compares to DB VS OR (too me). BTW - Indians are deeply loaded for the foreseeable future

  6. Teams with good Coaching make the most improvement from game 1 to game 2. The Indians have a good Coach. DB has a young and mostly inexperienced team for '13, but they also have some talent. Enough talent to end up a good strong team by seasons end.

#74 Nick Sensabaugh should be able to go this week.....that will help up front on D. I expect QB Holt will improve with each and every start.

Looking forward to the road trip for the first ever meeting with East Hamilton.

  7. B-Man - Lisa's good scan in 2013 continued last week at Vandy. So, staying the course of action for now. Really we are just enjoying that grandson and keeping busy with Macy starting her Sr. year...that Spirit Shaker team is non-stop for the girls and the parents since they move under the direction of the Band this year.. The Band Halftime Show is a dandy this year.. bring your shades because it is a Jake and Elwood Show. **MEDIA DAY TODAY AT J FRED**SCRIMMAGE AT 6**

  8. In 2006 the the score was 28-0 before the band got to their seats. That final score was 44-0 if you don't recall.

Your memory is like a thirsty elephant's walking countless miles to a watering hole it once visited while still nursing..Waco remembers everything about every DB game he has every been too...this being the most recent game attended, it is referred to often

  9. I know it's only July 9th but i'm ready for some football. I would like to hear about what weve got coming in this year after losing so much to the Southeastern Conference and The Big Orange. My prediction is that this year will be hard to watch after seeing what weve been used to for the last couple years. I think Casey will be the man in the back field and i hope a true QB emerges from the dust. This will be a year where Coach Clark will once again prove his worth. Let's get it starter and Roll Tribe!!!!!!!!!

'91 - You are right in saying things will be different in 2013. The lightning speed is gone but DB will have some speed players. What Coach Clark does have is a couple of bruising backs and a massive O & D Line. The opposition had better prepare for getting smashed in the mouth, play after play, because that is coming. I would be surprised if the Indians average throwing the ball 10 times per game....but the Indians will be hard to stop running the ball, just like last year... only in a different way. I love the schedule except for a couple of Big 7 duds. ROLL TRIBE ROLL
  10. You will find the Hooterville is a great place to play, lots of seating, and the fans are roudy but will treat you good. At East Ham, you will find the same, they have good parking, but be for warned there is hardley no seating only 450 seats on the away side, the stadium is only 2 years old. get there early there is only one way into the place and its a two lane road to get there. If the game starts at 7:30 and you plan to arrive at 7:15 you are screwed its not easy to get in and out of.

You can expect the Indians to bring about 1000-1500 fans for most all road games. We travel well and the majority will be in the stadium an hour before kick-off. Those will be days I take half a day off....good road trips. Speed up summer.

  11. The Hurricanes are moving up to 5aaa this season and with the returning starters and the newcomers replacing seniors they wont miss a beat! Signal Mtn will still be on the schedule and still somewhat of a rival but will not count on the district schedule. However,The Ooltewah Owls will and will have a record crowd when the two meet. With former NFL talent working with the OL/DL they will be ready for the ground and pound of 5aaa.QB listed as one of the top in the state and some of the DB/WR core are listed as D1 prospects, the Hurricanes are loaded with talent......

Looking forward to Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett making the trip to your area twice this year.... against both East Hamilton and Ooltewah. A sure upgrade from the 2 teams on the schedule the Indians get to drop for 2013.

  12. The question I would like to know is will Makale Foreman play this year. I am worried about our quarterback whoever it may be maturing, our wide receivers and our defense..

Foreman is not playing football, concentrating on his basketball. My pick for QB would be Caleb Cook. We will see. DB has players, we just don't know them all yet. The Indians will have a monster line in '13. I am excited about the season. Roll Tribe Roll
  13. Art, I hope I'm not being too forward here but how is your wife doing? I remember you saying something a long time ago about her being seriously ill and something else you said near that time led me to believe I probably went to school with her. I don't know who you guys are but you've been on my prayer list.

Thanks for asking and thanks for your prayers. Lisa is doing good right now. She had 16 hard weeks of Chemo, every week and every third week was 3 different Chemo's. Now she is doing 2 Chemo's every 3 weeks. She has had back to back clean scans and he are hoping for continued good news. It has be a rough 39 months for her, one day at a time. Roll Tribe Roll
  14. In light of the DB/South scrimmage and the potential North/South merger, I would like to congratulate the idiot or group of idiots and their supporters that decided to make the Big 8 the Big 7. Pitiful, short sighted, BS decision if there ever was one.

Batman, the real idiots are the TSSAA when they made the decision to go to 6A in Football. When 5A was the max class, every school was in the right conference...playing other schools the same size as them. The Big East was an awesome conference for DB and SH. The "Big whatever" should never have come back once it ended in 1992. We need to go back to 5A Max.

  15. Congratulations to the DB DUO!!! The Big Orange has signed a couple of real play makers in Foreman and Swafford. This will put more butts in the seats in Knoxville as the DB Fans will travel in mass to see these guys play for the Vols.
