Can the Alcoa boys repeat as champs? They return the LJ and TJ state champs Jordan Harris and Major Newman, and lead the state in the 4x1 relay as of now. Pearl Cohn still has the fastest sprinter in the state and will challenge the Tornadoes again. Tyner and Brainerd always show up. South Greene has come on strong and has some top notch throwers and sprinters. I can't wait to see how the sectionals and state meet turn out!

I'm super excited for this showdown. It's definitely going to be a defensive battle once again. Hopefully the F5 can put up enough points to escape with the W. F5 17-14!

You act like we're reaching out to these kids in Cali or Knox. Kids choose to come to Alcoa, because they want to win. So you really think we reached out to an average qb from Cali?? Come on now Turtle lol. If we are going to recruit someone, why not go for a 5 star from GA, FL, TX? AE has plenty of history, but that's what it is now, history! I'll alway respect AE, and know plenty of ppl from there that rep them well. But you need to chill on the recruiting accusations. We've def had our fair share of transfers, but most of those gorillas you see out there now are A13 born and raised! (12,15,9,99,2,13,) Just to name a few.

That's the same Sankey from 17 and 18. He's been getting lots of action since then. I played with his uncle Jamel Sankey back on the 2000 state team.

It just opened a month ago, and has the best food in town. They've also created a "Rivalry Blaze Wrap" just for the Blaze fans. It includes buffalo tenders, banana peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a side of ranch. It's located less than a mile from the stadium, and door will be open from 11-2, and 4-8! Alcoa seems to play well against teams that run the wing-t. Covington seems well coached and will throw the ball often on early downs. That's what could keep them in the game early, but Alcoa should pull away midway through the 3rd quarter. F5 with the W! 38-17.

My prediction was close, but I'll take that. My nephew #9 showed up and and played big once again! The Refs were terrible on both sides from what I saw. Way to go ALCOA!!!

Alcoa will play much better in this one.  If AE continues to start slow in the first half, I can see this one getting out of hand.  42-13!!

Alcoa will take care of business. Corbin reminds me of a Scott Co. type team with a Jared Lorenzon at qb. He seems to be their best player and can toss it around. F5 takes this one 42-10.
