  1. Maybe because: a. some things are more important than winning, b. he doesn't care about rankings or what you think, or c. though this may sound inconceivable to you, Ravenwood just won the game
  2. I thought the tournaments are next week. When is the game?
  3. No doubt that based on any criteria, Brentwood should be #1. But the real rankings that cound start next week.
  4. College coaches would only be looking at PJP to get people who can afford tuition after all the scholarships are given out. If all the people who are "being looked at" got scholarships, the soccer programs and maybe the universities would go bankrupt. You'll find some place that will let you pay tuition to be on their soccer team.
  5. If it walks like a duck, ... Call it financial aid, financial need, whatever you want to - but it's still recruiting. Why should HHS help you recruit? Altruism? Would you sharpen the knife for the guy who's going to cut your throat? PJP is a beautiful building and has great support. Why not earn your recognition instead of begging for it? And HHS would still be strong without Xander. He's important to the team, but be realistic - HHS would kill you next year too. And what would be gained for HHS?
  6. And. What you've said changes nothing. HHS should not schedule you.
  7. Why do you assume that anyone who agrees with you is a "non-soccer playing person?" How's this for whining? No wonder you didn't earn post season honors. Your hard work wasn't for nothing. I'm sure your team mates and fans appreciated it. It's just that people thought you weren't as good as other players in your area. Blackman beat us 5-4 because a certain referee had to exit the game due to a sudden "call from nature" That my friend, is getting screwed and that my friend happened on our home field. This is from Collosus: I heard none of them even got any district honors??? Hard to believe that, I watched them all play last season and they all played with alot of heart and skill despite the harsh criticism of their former coach. I'm not saying that the ones that got the honors by any means don't deserve them, they did. But how is it that two four year letterman just looked over?? And then you answer: I'm one of those four-year lettermen. I'd love to tell you but I don't think coacht is the oppropriate place to do so. I greatly appreciate the opinions you offered Collosus, lets me and my counterpart (the other letterman)know that all our hard work wasn't for nothing.
  8. I second that emotion. PJP has earned nothing. PJP will never get respect from the big dogs til they can run with em. The freshmen and sophs at HHS would dominate PJP this year, next year, and the year after. You're crying again.
  9. Let me make sure I understand this. The linesman cost you the game because he left the field 5 times. You did say the score was 5-4? How can you blame the linesman - and 5 times? Then go back and read Colussus. Then you said all your hard work was for nothing. Was it for nothing because you didn't get post season honors? That's your implication. Are you an automatic all-something (district, region,) because you letter four years? Then read the last sentence of David. Being at your games has nothing to do with reading your posts. We'll see how long the new guy stays.
  10. No wonder the guy left. You don't earn individual honors so you get on here and whine about it. Then you figure he flipped you the bird by not doing something. The world doesn't revolve around you. Also, do you really believe the ref left for that?
  11. Isn't that the way it should be? TSSAA works for the general membership and not what's best for a small number. Don't you really think the privates should have their own group so they can do as they please?
  12. Maybe he should have gotten his mother to go on TV and complain. Or they could have told everybody that, "We're not gonna play no more if we don't get our way." Of course they don't want to switch zones.
  13. Yes. Anybody got any details on the Centennial-Franklin game? How did it compare to Centennial-Brentwood?
  14. Has the superintendent's decision been announced? Do anybody know what the principal recommended? Has Greene spoken publicly at all?
  15. Has the superintendent's decision been announced? Do anybody know what the principal recommended? Has Greene spoken publicly at all?
  16. Let's start a thread on the tnfc and how good everybody is that plays.
  17. Why should any of the other schools in Sumner County play PJP II? To make friends with some wannabes on a web site? Be real. You PJP guys can get on here and run your mouths all you want. It's not going to make a difference. It would be great if none of them schedule you! Go play each other.
  18. I'm not sure it's size as much as being competitive. There is no incentive for a AAA school with a good program to play a AA school that's not competitive at AA: unless it's to help a AA school upgrade it's schedule or maybe increase the gate. Brentwood looks to be at the top at this point, but I really think FHS will come together later. Centennial has some talent too. With the intense rivalries, it's not always the best team that wins.
  19. Sorry. The good post was actually meant for TnBball.
  20. I'm neither mad nor a resident of Clarksville. Unfortunately I'm from an area more known for soccer but also regaining a rep in wrestling.
  21. tnbball - good to see you on the soccer forum. Aren't you usually a big basketball fan? Good post. You said a lot of what I was thinking.
  22. I'm not an expert, but playing it as a kid and moving to a soccer mad county years ago I've picked up a bit. We have some of the best soccer in the state, year in and year out and our county probably has more state championships in soccer (boys and girls)than any other county in Tennessee. You can talk about rankings all you want, and that generates questions and comments and opinions. That's great. I don't know anything about that game because I don't have to drive that far to see good soccer, but I can read and think. Since some you are obviously from Rossview, let's take a look at your program, your team and your schedule. You said the school is three years old. What have you accomplished in your three years? What established, competitive teams have you beaten in that time? What established teams do you even schedule? What teams have you played this year? What were the results? If I'm not mistaken Clarksville Northwest is not ranked in the top ten!? What historically strong teams do you play this year? Is your schedule getting stonger, staying the same, etc? I don't care one way or the other, but you are making yourselves look bad because you ran your mouths, got whipped, blamed the refs, and now you're whining. Remember what a previous post said about being bigger, more aggressive, etc. It must taste really bad. And by the way, I think it shows something when a player chooses a screen name of "yellowcard."
  23. You can get most of the results on www.soccerinfo.com You will see the schedule, any rankings, as well as the results of opponents, and goal difference.

    Ref's

importkid - There are good refs and bad refs; good coaches and bad coaches; good player and bad players, and everything in between. Relax. Three refs are not inherently better than two, especially if the three are bad and the two are good. Also, before you go off to college, you might want to take a class in English composition. It would help you tremendously to make your points. Please let us know where you attend high school.
