  1. I thought that Crockett County hosted Dyersburg last year. So, wouldn't that mean that my cavaliers have to play @ D-Burg this year?? As for the region, I think that most teams in the region will lose 2-3 games (all region losses). I'm not sure who will come out on top. I see Hawyood, Covington, Crockett, D-burg, and Ripley fighting it out for the top 4 spots. Obion Co. will definitley win a few games too, they do it every year. Crockett County is young and not near as talented as last year. Travis Mosier should have a good year, if healthy. Also, Whitby, the QB will be solid. Very good Linebackers, too. But as I said, overall talent is down. Good Luck to All...

  2. USJ has alot of offensive POWER, but Dyersburg is Very solid from 1-9. Both have great pitching staffs and solid defense. I see this having the potential to be a classic. However, If USJ gets ahead early, D-burg may fold due to lack of momentum from losing two games to "rival" Dyer County. On another note, I hope that Covington "blisters" Dyer County

  3. Massey had 16 home runs in the regular season and batted .500 +. Could someone please explain to me how he didn't win District 13AA MVP? I am just wondering how the other players that got votes compare, and how the voting takes place??

  4. I agree. I played for Crockett County and graduated in 2004. We had a few players then that threw tantrums and I believe that these guys saw that and feel that they are suppose to act like that. They are wrong! High school baseball is not suppose to be like that. It is fun! You should play hard and leave it at that. There is no reason to ever argue with an Ump (that is the coaches job). Take whatever happens and just Play Ball!!

  5. Not sure who the team to beat is, but Crockett County and Dyersburg split a two game series on Mon-Tues. Dyersburg blew out the Cavs on Monday, but they came back and pulled out a close one on Tuesday.

  6. I haven't had the chance to see Grimm play, but I sure would like to. I love to see kids work hard, and it sound like that is what he does.

As for Big_Doobie, if you haven't heard of Craig Massey, then obviously you don't keep up with West Tn football, bc he was Qb for the Cavs, who went undefeated in the regular season, and made headlines week in and week out. I know this post has nothing to do with football, but Massey is a good athlete, and great hitter! He has signed with Bethel to play college baseball.

  7. Dyersburg 1 and Crockett County 2 is the way I see it so far.

I know that batting .400-.500 in district 13AA is tough, but I've seen Massey hit the ball for 3 years now and he is very capable of doing it. Just watch and see...

  8. Enough of this talk about the history of freakin Milan baseball and Coach Joyner's BIO...

Crockett County has a new Coach with a passion for the game, and they will give anyone in this district a "hand full." They return a load of talent from last year. Massey has signed with Bethel, and has a good chance to hit .400-.500. Dyersburg will also be good. I see these two teams being 1 and 2 this year.
