  1. Chattanooga Top 100 weekend at Camp Jordan Arena

    Jan 13 and 14

    Jan 13 Top 100 Tournament

Jan 14 First ever Begginers State Championship. All 1st and 2nd year wrestlers are eligible unless you have placed in the state tournament in the past.

Also...first ever..Tennessee Elementary Club state Duals K-6 and state middle school club duals 6-8. Must wrestle for your club, no pick me ups from other teams.

We have tried for years to get Camp Jordan,  and finally got it this year. It is the perfect venue for a wrestling tournament. Plenty of seating and can fit up to 14 mats down.

Coaches mark your calandar. Most kids will be out of school the following Monday for MLK day so it should be a great weekend to have this tournament. Help spread the word. As we get all the times ironed out we will post the flyer.

  2. The Buccaneer wrestling club will be hosting a kids club tournament this Saturday 1/21. We would like to invite anyone to compete. We have 70 kids in our club. Numerous state champions and state placers, as well as a bunch of beginners. We have a few teams from GA and Al. Committed. We will have to cut off registration at 500. 4. If CBHS is ranked 31 in the nation, why is Soddy Daisy not ranked in the top 50. The way I look at it, Soddy Daisy should be ranked 30 or 32. Lets look at what the Trojans have done this year....record 26-2

They have two loses...One to #31 CBHS 34-27. They also beat CBHS the day before 33-25. and a loss to #6 Brandon 45-24. Not saying that they could have beat Brandon, but they could have won two more matches against them. They bumped Campbell and Turbo up trying to win the dual and they both lost. If they both would have wrestled their weights, more than likely they both would have won. Also State champion Jacob Stevens did not wrestle that duel.

Look at some of the wins...

    #31 CBHS

    Father Ryan

    Cleveland

    Baylor

    Bradley

    #1 ranked 4a Georgia Pope

    #1 ranked 3a Georgia Heritage

    #1 ranked Alabama Thompson

Do the coaches have to send in info on the team each week, or do they have experts that do the rankings know whats going on everywhere? just my opinion on the rankings.

  5. This Saturday Jan 14 will be our Club tourny. It is shaping up to be the biggest touny ever in Chattanooga. Expecting 600-700 kids. It will be the best from Tennessee, with a lot of the Georgia and Alabama studs. There will be team scores kept in every division, with plaques given to the champion and runner up teama in each division as well as outstanding wrestler trophys in each division. tots through middle school. This is the flyer....

  6. It's tough to say who #1 will be. CBHS has a great team, i love those kids. Soddy beat CBHS on Friday, and then on Saturday beat Father Ryan in a tough match, then had to wrestle Pope who is #1 in Georgia 4A, which they beat by 1 point. Right after that they had CBHS. I dont care who you are its gonna be tough to go through all those teams in a row and win all of them. While CBHS was not tested through the day. Maybe the coaches can get together and have a rubber match before the season is out. However, if you go by who won last then CBHS has to be #1. Depends on how the coaches that vote look at it.
