  1. Now calm down there stl it seems like you commented that Baylor was the best hitting team top to bottom, now your telling me how many D1 signees they have. Well I am sure if Lexington had transfers come in from across town they would have a bunch of D1 signees too. Baylor is by far the best softball team in D2 but a little financial support goes along way for getting the best athletes. I am not one of these people who cry private vs public but I would put some hard earned money on the fact that Lexington could beat 90% of D2 schools in the state this coming year, and to add to your question was does hitting homeruns have to do with a good hitting team? Well I would say it has a whole lot to do with it. If Lexington has 5 or 6 girls who can go yard and there are only 9 batters in the lineup I would venture to say they are going to score a lot of runs. And for your fact that Baylor has a lot of Signees just remember Baylor has a lot of recognition and Lexington is a ole country public school in the middle of nowhere big difference. Not to mention Baylor is in Fury's back yard so there again helps get them there D1 coaches around. Lets just sit back and enjoy these two teams and see who from top to bottom has the better hitting team in the end.

Hold on a second, I was disagreeing with YOUR "comment".  I'll quote it, "Lexington is the best hitting team from top to bottom in the State".  Does not matter how many "D2" schools Lexington can beat, financial support, country school, etc.  I happen to think Lexington has a very good team (obviously). I was only disagreeing with YOUR statement.  And, I think I proved my point. Best AA team in the state, yes, best hitting "team", I disagree.  And, I can name 25 teams in the state that have 5-6 "girls who can go yard".  That does not automatically make those teams "good hitting teams".  Go check any college conference website and see how they determine the "best" hitting team.  A "good hitting TEAM" is hitting .300+ as a "team".  In other words, do you want a player who goes 3-4 with 2 singles and a double or a player who is 1-4 with 2 K's and a HR.  I think I just made my point, again.  I certainly hope Lexington repeats this year (and they have a very good chance to do so).  Good luck to their team......no hard feelings "softballguru".  Heck, you even invited everyone to "drill you on your predictions".

  2. Well we do know Baylor is Division 2, but lets add up homeruns at the end of the year. I am sure both will have a few. Nothing against Baylor but I watched both play last year in Murfreesboro last year and Lexington was the better hitting team against in my opinion a much better pitching!!

That "Division 2" team has 4 D1 signees and at least 2-3 more in their underclassmen.  What does hitting home runs, have to do, with being a good hitting team?  I'll take the "Division 2" team, all day long.

  3. Not surprised by this. Hendersonville basically ended Beech's season last year with a late hit out of bounds that broke our qb's collar bone. In the days following, several HHS parents even talked smack about "knocking out" our qb.

You really need to "turn the page" on this one. I know the kid who hit your qb "in bounds", I might add. I have also seen the tape. Seems like EVERY time Beech gets beat, there is always a "conspiracy theory" involved. Hate to break the news to you, but, you can't win them all.

Congratulation to HC on a great game. Good luck in Cookeville.

  4. This thread is almost identical to the one last year. Seems like HC can not be beat, just like last year. Seems like HC has better athletes, bigger, stronger, just like last year. Seems like HHS should not even bother traveling to HC, just like last year. The only "fact" from last year is who won the game. Don't count out the Commandos just yet..........

  5. :Newbie" that has to be the dumbest comments that I have ever heard any livin person make on here.....Please go back and look at who they have played in tournaments this year....they have NEVER been afraid to play anyone...the only time that they have been beaten by a AA school was in the state tournament...now I know that ain't such a big deal but the last time that I looked only 8 schools got to go to the big dance this year....I have really bad eyes and I do wear them glasses but last night and today I would have sworn they had 9 players playin in the field and battin today and last night.....I know that you are new at this and sometimes for people like you don't really understand what it takes to be a winner instead of a loser like yourself but this is a team sport and yes the ones who play travel will be better than the ones who plays everything but dont ever think this is not a team sport or maybe you can't count to 9 that is why you made those dumb comments.....you think? :flower:

    Ditto.......

  6. "Ms. Birdie" has told me to keep it quick! So for the last picks for the year here they

are and here is a hint for you to know who the real "MrNoitAll" really is....years ago it was said

it took how many people to raise kids??? There is your answer! :flower:

AAA---Riverdale.....beat the fire out of CC and with that kind of pitchin ain't many folks

are goin to score many runs!

AA...Unicoi Co.....these Ladies have come a long ways to kick butt and they will! Ain't much do

do in there little town except to play softball and these Ladies have been there before and

knows what it takes to win.......Creek Wood sorry but you are second this year which is better

    than most schools!

A...Grace....they have been waitin for the last two years to win and this is there year. They should

enjoy it cause this will be there last trip for a long while!

Think you may have missed the boat on your AA prediction, my friend. But hey, in the words of Meatloaf, two out of three ain't bad...........

  7. It won't let me pick except for the last 5 games on the list. Anybody else having this problem?

Yes "MrNoitAll" is also having the same problem.....I just hope that my best friend who is very rich didnt get to make all of the picks because that would be unfair!!! :thumb:

Sorry buddy, I made ALL the picks...........

  8. Wilson Central vc Hendersonville tonite was as Good as it Gets!

Back & forth scoring each inning, good pitching on both teams.

Neither team would give up, games close all year, but Wilson Central finished strong, winning 15-10.

These team pretty well evenly matched talent -wise. More than likely will have to play 1 more time, although Hendersonville will have to get by Mt Juliet in the losers bracket, and providing Beech beats Wilson Central on Thursday. Take away one good inning for Beech and MJ would still be in winner bracket.

Beech just not the team of last year, but remember, you only have to win by 1 run!

Kind of an oxymoron, "good pitching", "15-10". I saw a lot of walks, errors, mental mistakes.

  9. I say that SD is one good team from the East. I have seen them play two times this year and enjoyed both times. Always well coached and if I am not mistaken young pitchers who are excellent. But I think this year the trophy will stay in the Mid-state and "Cat" will get it for them.

okay MrNoitAll...you must have something against teams from the east because SD is a powerhouse all the way around. Seems to me that the only thing Beech has is "Cat" and people are hitting her and so will SD. Obviously SD has better pitching thats why they only have 7 runs scored against them and Beech has 24 when they have supposedly better pitching and played less games!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe that Beech has played as many or more games than SD and they use a two pitcher rotation (sometimes 3). USA Today had them at 27-1-1 last week and they have played at least 6 games since then. Plus, they have obviously played stronger competition. If you think that Kat is "all" that Beech has, you may be in for a sad awakening.......

My best friend is right about havin more than one player, this team is loaded (eight seniors starters I believe) ! I have seen Beech once this year, and SD twice and again the best team in the STATE OF TENNESSEE is Beech! For some of you the name is "CAT" not KAT because she rules when she pitches and BATS! :D

    ...........actually it IS "Kat".........

  10. What about Soddy Daisy? Don't you believe that they have a strong enough team to beat Beech? Soddy is 29 - 1, Beech's is what 16-1-1? something like that. also soddy has scored 241 runs to 7. so what do you have to say Mr. Noitall?
