  1. I'd like to start off by congratulating the rest of the "senior seven" on their win tonight. Nice way to go out on their home court ..... I would also like to congratulate Kenton Coleman on his accomplishment tonight. Kenton is and always has been someone I've looked up too. His talent both on and off the court has always been something I've admired. His work ethic is incredible. If anyone deserved this award for his constant hardwork and hustle, it was Kenton. It's been an honor playing with him for as long as I have. He has helped me become the player I am today and I owe alot to him. All the times we played one on one after school or after practice, finally paid off. With all the events that went on in the past week, it's amazing how optimistic he is. This goes for the rest of his family, as well. I just want to thank him for being a role model for me and the other players on the team. I can't tell you how proud I am for Kenton and how greatful I am to have him be a part of my high school career and a part of our team. He's a great friend and an overall great person. Keep up the work buddy, we're gonna go far!!!

  2. Big Ben I just have one question......You said you were a senior in high school.....I was just curious if you were one of the guys that was in the MLK crowd on Greenbrier's half of the court coming out of halftime that was yelling and taunting our players? Were you in that crowd or no? I mean no disrespect, but I was just curious....

  3. I have been a greenbrier fan for many years now and this is the best greenbrier team that greenbrier has ever had. What i mean is that this team has so much potential, but can they produce?? I dont know if greenbrier is gonna win by 20 or 10 heck they may not even win the way basketball goes sometimes. Lose or win this game means absolutely nothing. Doesnt Sycamore have a huge post player is he even playing or starting. If he is why wasnt he used against station camp.

Anyways good job station camp i heard yall played some pretty good D the other night (which is the key to winning any game)

  4. If my parents ever made a life-changing decision that involved raising me and doing whats best for me, they made it about 6 years ago. They decided to move to Greenbrier so I could further my education in a more safe and caring environment. I moved during my 6th grade year and had to privilige of going to school with some of the best people ive ever met. I made friends in middle school that I still have today, and even more once I hit high school. I became friends with some of the best guys around, who mean the world to me. Most of these guys I met through sports. Although I play on the Basketball team at the High School now, I'm one of the biggest supporters in the Greenbrier Community when it comes to Football. I always loved going to Friday Night games with my Dad when i was little. He was a big football fan and always loved watching my boys play. He always commented on how well you guys played together and how you had the potential for greatness. My father passed away about a month or so ago and I know he would have been at every single game this year if he were still alive. The 2 weeks after my father's death were probably the hardest of my life. If it weren't for the friends I've made, I'm sure this woulda been alot more difficult. I would have never gotten this much support from anyone, had I still lived in the Nashville area. The point of this post is to thank the guys on the football team. I had alot of support from them as well as the rest of the GB community, but I wanted to let them know this. I've had the honor of being in the same class as these guys and I've watched them become successes over the years. Roger - you've always been an athlete I've looked up to.....if anyone ever deserved the Mr. Football award, it's you. Cameron - ever since 7th grade we've been buds. I can't think of any other guy thats more like me. Thank u.... Clint, Daniel, Dustin Cole - We've gotten closer over the years and I will say that you both are players I admire. You go out every Friday night and make big plays while being their for your team. Who wouldn't admire that?....Justin Stewart - you and your family have done so much for me, it's impossible to ever thank you. I know you will do just fine with your good work ethics. ANYTIME I'm ever around you, your getting done with football practice and either coming home and going straight to soccer practice or a soccer game, or mowing the grass. I hope you go somewhere with your soccer skills. Brad, Kyle Tabb, Perry(P-Dawg) , Jesse Dunn, Wade, Billy - I can't forget you guys. I'm definitely going to miss you guys next year whether you realize it or not. I look forward to most of my classes with some of you guys because you always find ways of making things entertaining. Not to mention your all great players. Chris Tucker - That leg of yours is def. going to get you somewhere. I know you'll be there when the team needs you come playoffs. Treslyn Link "The Mouth of the South" ... I'm looking forward to another great year of commentary. You practice and play hard...not to mention your pretty talented I must say, you'll do wonders..... My big boy Joey Stephens... Watching you play just reminds me of how much you used to tackle me when you played basketball. Of course I always got back up......from time to time... My junior boys...Kyle Herndon...I hope your senior year goes well....you've already made me a fan just from this year...keep it up.....Joe Dan...your a great guy and a hard working player as well....what else can I say.....Justin Pigg....you've been there for me in the past....you mean alot whether you know it or not and I hope you keep making the plays that count. And I have saved the best for last. Jacob Aldridge....my Dad's favorite player. If there was ever a guy he admired the most it was you. And I can understand why. You were there for me during his death and your support kept me strong. I feel honored just to put your name on my back when we paint up. I'm just so sorry dad couldn't see you play your senior year. I hope you get back out there soon.... I hope you guys continue to make Greenbrier's football team a success. You have a community behind you and a very bright future. I hope you bring back a state title.....Dad would be proud....

  5. I think Greenbrier will definitely be a surprise. They compete in one of the best districts in Middle TN with both David Lipscomb and Martin Luther King. They gave both teams a run for their money last year and they will all be competing for that 1st place in the district standings this season. Greenbrier has now, some of the best shooters and scorers, that they've had in a long time. They play so well together so it will be exciting to see how they finish this year.

  7. Everyone come out and support the Ladycats at their games whenever you can!!! Carry over the great school spirit from football, volleyball, and basketball over into the spring sports!!!! They play at Springfield on Monday, March 29 at 4:30? And Tuesday, March 30 at HOME against HUMEFOGG at 5:00!!! Good luck ladycats!

  8. I like how the only four teams left in the region tourney are from 8AA. That-a-way to represent! Im sure 7AA had some very talented teams but like they said...if you can get out of this district (8AA) you can hang with anyone. Goodluck to the final four!

  9. I like it when grown adults have to get into teenage problems that have nothing to do with them. If you have a problem sir you know where I live and I'd be happy to come out and have a talk with you. I mean, you do remember where I live since I biffed so many rides, right? I didn't realize you would be so overcomed with these posts. I seem to recall before your son even quit our team he whined all the time and even called me a coach's pet or something like that just because he couldn't take how the coaches were coaching. He wouldn't agree with their decisions and I could. I'm glad he found another place to play but if you wanna have the same mentality as your son then by all means knock urself out. I think it's a little immmature on your part being a grown adult and all. Maybe it's just hereditary. But I hope Goodpasture goes far in the tournaments and you guys get your glory. I guess us Cats will keep playing the way we are.....ya know like a team should. B)

PS- Benji...you've been our team leader this whole year and we're still behind you.....I just hope you dont let me "rub off on you."

  10. Still wanting the attention huh? The only joke around here are those things hanging from your head..........our coaches coach the game the way it is supposed to be coached and don't do anything else. They don't go behind your back and talk bad about you or criticize the things you say or do, coaches don't do that. Greenbrier's Boys are doing perfectly fine for a team that has stuck with it for so long and didn't QUIT and GIVE UP on there team or WHINED and CRIED just becuz they didn't get the spotlight. I believe Goodpasture has a very good chance of going far this year.......but whether we played you or not.....I doubt there would be any "stomping" going on. Try playing your games one at a time. :D

  11. I havent seen harriman's student section but i do know that greenbrier's student section is awsome and if they keep up the winning is only going to get better. Last home game there were students with huge flags and guys painted up and getting everyone else as pumped up as they were. The next home game is with a long time rival and should bring a ton of students. :D
