  1. If you really think WB has a remote chance of getting past Riverdale and going to Murfreesboro, then you need to get your head examined.

That was the same thing that was said in '96 about Jefferson Co. Low and behold they went TO Riverdale, after Riverdale schlacked them in the regular season, and beat them in overtime. That was with Eric Locke and co. Just shows you anyone can be beaten on any given day. :thumb:

  2. I am an assistant football coach looking for an opening in east tennessee. Preferably no further west than loudon county. I am certified in drivers ed. and special ed. I have coached RB, QB, WR, LB, DB. I have 7 years experience as an asst. coach. Any jobs open please email me at dirk25w@aol.com with any info.

  4. I can't believe that someone from Sevier co. is bashing South Doyle baseball. They have all kinds of talent and are a very solid ball club. Yeah they beat SC by 3 and by 17 and by 10. Nonetheless all of them were losses for Sevier. I also agree with the other post about coaches pay. If they just wanted to get paid, they could do many other things that were less stressful and make a whole lot more money. You guys need to focus on your own situation and quit worrying about everyone else.

  5. For a long three years. Who knows what it would take to get a decent coach here, but if we do get a new coach hopefully it won't be a teacher from our chool because they have all tried to coaach here and our record shows how well that works.

That may give someone the idea that it isn't the coaches that aren't getting it done! I guess you should be thankful that you have had a coach longer than 1 year that hasn't given up on your team.

  6. They don't get alot of talent because the Sevier little league program is horrible, but the coach runs off the few ballplayers they do get.  I looked at the yearbook and on the baseball page the seniors listed their favorite things about baseball:

    Going to College

    Coach having a good day

    The other teams girlfriends

Having a different coach every year of high school.

If those statements from the seniors don't clear up why Sevier Co. stinks then I'm sorry, but it is pretty obvious to me.

They had two guys that didn't even show up for the district game because coach ran them off.

How many "ballplayers" has the coach ran off? I can't remember seeing hardly any ball players from there in the past several years. I do remember reading about the "all-star" with the all ME attitude that took an early exit last year. It seems if they needed run off, then the team didn't need them anyway. I think the senior list is a very good indicator of why their baseball program is bad. They will need a serious boost in the talent level and obviously, the commitment level if they will ever compete in their district.

  7. Sevier Co is big and physical up front. It will take a fantastic effort of the smaller D-line of CC to penetrate the backfield. I look for it to be a physical ground game. Sevier will air it out, but it will be a battle in the trenches. CC just doesn't have enough to go with the running back. Sevier will win by 14 and CC will be in a dog fight for a play off spot for the rest of the season!

  8. This is not a quick fix people. Things have been bad at SD for a long time. The first thing that has to change is attitudes. Kids have to believe they can win before they will bust their humps to try. Once that is accomplished, everything else will fall into place. Not to mention, they need time to adapt to a whole new system. I can't believe people actually think in one year an 0-10 team is going to have a winning season. Be patient and reap your rewards in a few years.

  9. football4doc, Coach Hutching wouldn`t have taken the job if he knew he would be leaving after one year.Coach Hutchins is a very good Coach (I know from Personal experience)

Speaking of Jeff Co,has anyone else thought about how Jeff Co is a Coaching factory in east tennesee? There are some very good Coaches that have come from Jeff Co,Spencer Riley-Karns,Erik Hutchings-SD,George Quarles-Maryville I`m sure I`m leaving out more names. Its like the Green Bay Packers Coaching staff from a few years ago, they just keep putting out more Coaches.I expect Spencer to be a Head Coach in a few years.I guess Coach K does have a legacy

yes those are some quality coaches from jeff co. There are others like Rocky Riley-South Doyle, Trey Ondrus-siegel, Joe Case- Morristown West, Richie Wilhite-Sevier co., David Cagle- high school in Ga? and I am sure there are others. These are all young knowlegeable coaches that have long careers ahead of them.

  10. To try and get back on your topic:

    Coach Wright-West

    Bearden's new head coach

    Coach Stansberry-Morristown West

I think all these guys are under 30. If not they are right there at it. Look for all of these to have success in the coming years!

  11. are the coaches that left jeff to go to sc better than the ones that were left at jeff tell me sak4.

gve me info on whilhite and franklin.

Jefferson Co. has a very capable staff. Their head coach has forgotten more baseball than most of us know. I don't know much about the assistants. I am sure they have a good knowledge of the game. The ones that went to Sevier Co. were also very knowledgable of the game. I haven't heard much of their upcoming season. From what I know they will struggle. Sevier Co. plays in a very hard district. If anyone can turn it around I think they can.
