  1. Beechboard is the best 3 in the state. My all-state by position team:

    1 Cait McManon Heritage

    2 Ashleigh Newman Shelbyville

    3 Katrina Beechboard Livingston Academy

    4 Ashley Clark Mt Juliet

    5 Alex Fuller Shelbyville

Number one position player in the state would have to be Fuller. She played the five to almost perfection. All are very worthy and great players that will have great college careers.

  2. I've never seen a panel with a parent on it. They were very polite and asked great questions that required alot of thought. I've got certifcation issues though. My bachelor's was in History and Geography. I won't be done with my Master's in education till next spring cause of one class therefore making me uncertified till next year. Ohh well! I thought there questions were very concise. Very nice school! Can't believe it is out in the middle of nowhere though! haha! Good luck to Page and their new coach!

  3. MtJulietBears...I'm going to be coming through today on my way to scout at the Murphy Center..if you want we have dinner and talk about the past championships...what a minute..I mean the championships your going to win in the future..and I'll probably even let you cry on my shoulder when we talk about the Lady Bears beating Shelbyville and the national recognition in the USAToday poll!

  4. I don't think it was an upset. The previous two games, Buckelew wasn't in the game from start to finish. These girls are finding some chemistry after the return of Buckelew. If Bradley beats Cumberland County...then Harlow will get to play against his former player, Rachel Gobble. Bradley could indeed find themselves in the state tourney compliments of the determination of a player that pushed away injury and her collegiate career to play, hard working underclassmen, a tough and determined coaching staff, and a flawless coaching scheme. Good luck to the Bearettes the rest of the tournament.

BTW..the screen by Cassada when Pickel was driving to hit the lay-up that won the game was big because it caused a match-up problem...thus resulting in the win. Way to go Cassada..your becoming a factor!

  5. Back in 1995, Bradley Central had two finalists: Amy Geren, Paige Redman

Consellow sparrow won though..along with the state championship.

I remember those girls. Man Redman could shoot.

Honestly, how much research would it have taken sportswriters for the Tennessean to look this up, instead of just assuming that Shelbyville did it first?!

Geren had better range than Redman. She has the longest range I HAVE EVER seen{boy or girl}.

In the state semi-finals, she shot the ball from half-court and hit nothing but net. I watch the video over and over. It's incredible! When you watch the shot on the T.V. screen, you see the ball on the left corner...then it falls through the net. She was an amazing player. Only girl to beat me one on one!
