Sounds typical of the leadership and character that the new coach has displayed all year. I know as an official that I have had to get on to him several times for his profanity to his players, to other referees and to some fans. I still don't understand how a coach can get thrown out of a game that Hixson won by almost twenty and especially right before the district tournament. But this is the person that was hired that the principal was quoted as saying: Hixson High School Principal Christine Couch said. "Most importantly, however, Coach Disbrow is a proven leader and his commitment to the success of his athletes is extraordinary." What a commitment to his players. Get thrown out of a game, suspended two games and cause the school to have to pay $250.00 when there is no money to get out of a $20 million dollar deficit anyway. What a proven leader. Hixson is really getting sad. Parents should not treat kids this way at all, but it is always the kids who suffer no matter if they are shooting all of the time, passing all of the time or not even playing. They will always remember the impression that was left on their lives, either from the coach or the parents.
First of all, Coach Disbrow was not on the bench for that game. Second, why is the coach responsible for all that is going on in the stands? As an official myself, anything that goes on in the stands is not the officials responsiblity, it's administration of the school being played at. My main responsibility as an official is to ensure that the game runs fluidly and that the best team wins. I don't think it's very professional as an official to come on here and bash a Coach and Principal. Especially, when they sign your paycheck. When has Coach Disbrow ever used profanity to fans or referees...I think your whole post is a joke and it is why coaches and players look down to officials.

Obviously, you've never played D-1 to think that Craig is that material.

A serious contender for a state championship!

Make sure you wear that cape!

Alot of what you say in this post is true and I do deffinately agree that we showed a lack of discipline which is a direct reflection of the coaching staff. It is without a doubt that the coaching staffs responsibility to have the team ready to play and this team was by no means ready to take on the Irish. Before the game started, we didn't even run out on the field all pumped up. We just walked out on the field looking flat and not very focused. This team by no means was ready to play this game and could someone please tell me what exactly our offensive game plan was in this game?. We are running 3 totally different offenses and aren't being successful at any of the 3. It would seem to me that one should find what he does best and stick with it. This offense has no identity and until they find it we will continue to lose ballgames to average and mediocre teams.
Why don't you strap on a Superman cap and lead the team onto the field..don't forget your tomahawk either. I guess Sequoyah is the best 0-4 team in the state!

Notre Dame 20
Sequoyah 13
-
I think the winner of this one gets the fourth seed in the region behind Central, Polk, and Howard...it will be close to the end....Irish 28 Chiefs 27
-
Man, ya'll talk so much about Sequoyah and it looks to be that they will most likely be lucky to win 3 ballgames this year....imagine if they actually won 8-10 games...there wouldn't be enough megabits to store all those messages!

Hummmm...interesting..so if I'm the head basketball coach at Tellico and my children are coming through the system and playing basketball..I have to resign my post because I'm their parent..or let's say it's my niece or nephew....interesting indeed.

School Board Upholds Ban on Non-Faculty Coaches - By a 5-4 vote Thursday night, the Monroe County Board of Education decided not to rescind its June decision to prohibit non-faculty coaches from coaching family members in high school sports.

Maybe slobber knocker can keep stats for Satterfield......
-
Mr. Moser and Coach Satterfield are both on vacation. There won't be any hiring this week. It's gonna be hard to fill the slots with it being so late in the summer. The two that have been talked about on here are the only coaches I know of. Coach Gregory just got a job at Daphe (AL). They are constantly in the top 5 in Alabama football. Good luck to him and thanks for all your hard work the last year!
-
Does anybody know when the next booster meeting is?
-
Could it be that you are upset because you didn't get hired?
