How’s that a not a foul on GC? Girl dove on the Loretto player and they say it’s tied up and give GC possession. That’s awful.

Haha. Loretto had success in volleyball before they arrived. Realizing we’ve come up short when we shouldn’t have is not a bad thing. Loretto wins because their teams are super talented and hard working. Schematically, we’ve had issues. Again, giving him his due, the move to play Sophie more was a good one. She’s an upgrade at that spot. And I seen many years where we were the more talented team and lost. In those years it comes down to coaching and scheme and we got outperformed in those areas. Doesn’t make Nick a bad guy. And he’s young. Maybe he’s learned from it. 
I do hope they win it all. Ezell and Ally are exceptional. AK, Becca and Corbin are really good. Have some really good, talented players.

As big a Mustang fan as you’ll ever be. Realism is not a bad thing. Seen it too many times. She’s good. Really good. And I have no doubt that she could’ve taken Loretto teams from the past and run through Summertown and the rest of the state. Want Loretto to win any time they play, but have seen enough to know she’s taken less talented teams and beat us more than a few times. He did make a change for the better the other night so maybe he’s learning. Still think we should be running a 5-1 instead of a 6-2. Have some situational rotations that cause concern. 

Loretto beats Summertown in 5 sets to win the district. Good match. Loretto is probably the more talented team but Kelley is the better coach and it’s not even close. She’ll beat Loretto before it’s over.

Watch the Summertown game and they were consistent anyway. That’s what’s always driven me crazy about some of our officials. Same play is a foul on one trip then not a foul on the next one. 

Spectacular to see Frierson and the trash officials from our district over here. Two out of the worst three officials from our district are here. 

Season series ended 3-3. But Summertown got the one that mattered. Teams are evenly matched but they have an edge from a coaching standpoint. Andrea Kelley knows how to handle a team and I enjoy watching her do it. Basketball starts Monday and I imagine we’ll run into each other a few times this winter.lol

Loretto beats Camden Central 25-12, 25-12 and 25-20. Heck of an environment at the Barn tonight. 

Loretto Lady Mustangs defeat Summertown 3-0 by the scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-23 to win the region. Both teams advance to the substate on Thursday. 

Final volleyball, Loretto 3 Summertown 2 by scores of 25-18, 16-25, 25-23, 13-25, 15-12 .....Lady Mustangs avenge earlier loss to the Lady Eagles.

Called that one didn’t you? That juggernaut is averaging about what they got against you guys. 
Good game though. Actually surprised with how the game went. We lack some size but we have some athletes in the skill positions  that play hard.

Karly was late coming out after halftime. Hope she’s not injured or sick. Wasn’t on the floor when the second half started.

We were bad tonight. Officiating was worse. The way y’all’s big bullies people around and goes over their backs and she had one foul. Team fouls at one time in the first half were 8 to 1. You were shooting one and ones with 6 minutes to go and Summertown had 4 fouls.

Jay, you remember when someone from up your way came up to David Weathers in the bathroom at the state volleyball tourney and told him how much he hated him and his entire family? And how the entire town of Summertown hated him and his family? I do. And the entire town does. 
 

May want to make sure no one else is in the bathroom when you say something like that to someone. 

Don’t have to look it up. If she trying to gain an advantage that’s the call. But the ball was in the Summertown side of half court and the defender wasn’t even looking at Laney. I know the rule. 

Haha. Autumn Buttrum is laying flat on the floor and Campbell trips over her and they call a block on Autumn. Holy crap. 

They called a Loretto player for running out of bounds on the baseline when the ball was at mid court. What a joke. 

Officials taking over in the Loretto/ Summertown game. Called three seconds on Loretto somehow when the ball hadn’t been advanced to mid court. And Burdette is getting away with murder underneath. 

Yeah, there’s one official who is calling everything. The other two aren’t bad at all but this one guy acts like he’s the most important person in the building. Hate when a ref tries to be a big part of the game. 

Yes sir. My daughter and I were talking about it earlier. Hard to go undefeated so it’s better to play a good team and lose before the tournament. 
 

Didn’t think we played particularly well. Stood around too much on offense. But in the end it may be the best thing that could’ve happened to us.
