  1. Loretto comes back to beat Camden. Scores of  22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14 and wins the 5th set 15-12.

Joins Summertown and Lawrence Co in the state tourney. All 3 county schools move on. Pretty cool thing there.

  2. Camden takes set one over Loretto 25-22 then takes set two 25-23. Lady Mustangs take set 3, 25-20. Loretto takes set 4, 25-14. We’re all even.

Loretto completes the comeback taking the tiebreaker 15-12. Lady Mustangs moving back to the state tourney.

My takes from the game... like you I was there in person and rewatched on film

1...  Loretto's fans are "entitled." They ached and whined for 3+ Qs.... I started the game pulling for them but by HT I was in Summertown's corner

2... We've seen those officials for years in the Knoxville area, I knew it was going to be very physical

3... I also knew when Summertown's BIG was fouled out 94ft from basket, it was Loretto's game---and it was. The ticky tack on her guarding Weathers right in front of me was just that.... another foul (maybe her 4th) should have been on her teammate in the paint. And then the 5th..... you don't call that in a one point game after they'd been letting them hammer on each other for 3+ (but like I said, we've seen it for years)

Not entitled. Just like some consistency in our officiating. That was an issue Saturday. The first half they called very little, the second half they called a lot but missed some obvious stuff.

We generally don’t ache and whine when we play Summertown. They’re always physical and we see them enough that we expect it. That’s how they beat us the first three times. We didn’t handle it well and honestly, I was surprised we handled it as well as we did Saturday. And as a matter of fact, it was the first time we’ve played this year that had that type of officiating. Normally in the mid state, games aren’t called that tight.

And Burdette’s 5th foul was soft compared to some of the things that happened the entire game. But since she bodied up Kensey Weathers early and got away with it to the point Kensey left the game, we’ll call it even.

Take a breath. I think he misspelled a word, and has since edited it to correct the mistake.

He may have but it’s not the first time he’s taken shots at other teams. And we (Loretto) seem to be his main target when he gets ramped up. Easy to explain with the rivalry and all but that doesn’t make it right.

FYI all teams in top bracket are regional posers / all teams in lower bracket are regional winners / strange how that worked out lol

Posers? Man, you’re an arrogant clown you know it? Two posts up a Loretto fan gives props to Summertown and you get on here and talk crap. Every time I see you at games and you’re talking to Loretto fans like Weathers dad, you’re awfully complementary there keyboard warrior. Wonder why that is?

Harpeth drops a tough one to Loretto tonight. They had a *ton* of unforced errors and still every set was winnable. Just couldn’t get past the errors.

That said, Karly Weathers is a beast (Maybe the best single A hitter I have seen), but really is all Loretto has hit-wise. Tonight though, she was more than enough. I have no doubt that Loretto will go far in the tourney. They are well coached and play pretty darn good defense with lots of hustle.

Good luck to everyone next week!

Loretto lost their 2nd best hitter in the preseason to knee surgery. She’s a sophomore and started all last year as a freshman. Her being out caused us to move some girls around and it took a while to find the right makeup and positioning for them.

Our roster makeup is 4 juniors and 9 sophomores so we had some growing up to do as many of the girls got limited time last year except for JV action. The improvements we’ve made makes the future look a little brighter.

Summertown is probably the odds on favorite and we got a good draw in that if we win out we won’t see them until the winners bracket final. Should be a good tourney.

So Clarkrange/Loretto are the best Single A teams based on what? Both beat the 2 worst teams in the tournament in Huntingdon and North Greene. Loretto had their shot during the regular season to beat Greenfield and came up short. I was at the game and if Greenfield hits half their shots they win by 20+ instead of 6. The twins from Calrkrange are legit. Most girls play and move like girls. These 2 play like boys. They did whatever they wanted against a bad Huntingdon team. I believe Greenfield wouldn't let that happen. To not mention the only undefeated team in the state as the best is a joke...

Dumb argument. I was at the game and if Loretto hits half their shots, they win by 10. If Greenfield doesn’t shoot 13 more FTs in what was essentially a home game for them, Loretto wins.  If that’s game had’ve been at Loretto and Greenfield would’ve travelled three hours, Loretto wins. If McBee wasn’t playing her first game back for Loretto and was full speed, Loretto wins. See how that works? That “if” crap nullifies any argument.
It stood to be a great tournament but I don’t see them playing anymore. Hate it for all the players involved.

  8. Hate they’re probably going to end up canceling. Looked like it was going to be a great tourney. Slightly amused at a couple of GC fans on here discussing the result of a championship  game between them and Greenfield. There is a game they’d have to play to set that matchup in motion. And the team they’d have to beat to get there is pretty good. Maybe they finish it out but I have no faith in the TSSAA to do the right thing. They never have. Good luck to all the remaining teams and players. Will be sad if that don’t get a chance to finish what they’d worked so hard to get.

But you didn’t say anything to any adults from Huntingdon who hold have stepped up and handled the situation.(If it happened). But you being the big guy that you are you decided to throw “classless” on a town and a team as soon as you had a chance to hide on here. Talk about being classless. Grow up.

It happened. And no adults stepped up. Thanks. If you can’t handle the truth, don’t read anymore. I have no reason to lie. I, along with others, heard it. And I didn’t say it was the whole town, said it was the students behind the bench but you make it a town thing if it makes you feel better.
