With Dresden having one of, if not, their best players on the bench the entire 2nd and 3rd quarters due to foul trouble, the dynamic duo was not able to show what they were made of. The fouls were ridiculous!! I take Dresden over Loretto nine out of ten times in a matchup!!

And Loretto's District 12A MVP missed two and a half quarters with foul trouble (and had I think 3 points) so it equaled out on that front. Was an over-officiated game I'll give you that but Loretto won because they played good defense and rebounded. Loretto has some tourney experience on this team (3 out of the last 4 state tourneys), so I'm sure that helped. We've played a good schedule and are used to close games. Proud of the Lady Mustangs.

Dresden got the easiest draw in the tournament for them.  Loretto guards cannot matchup with Dresden's dynamic duo.  I have Dresden by 12.

All 3 sentences are epic fail. 

You mTp boys are a riot. Maybe you should go on the road together. Maybe this sounds right. We beat you guys by " a shade" under 24 points. Or maybe I should say "a shade" over 22. Understand what I meant now? When I said that I wasn't sure of mTp's passing yards. Just knew you threw it a lot. Fact of the matter is, you threw for a bunch of yards after we got up as much as we did. We softened our coverage and wanted you to use clock if you scored. So you could complete all those short passes you wanted.

After our 6 possessions in the first half all ended in TDs, we weren't really concerned about what you did. Not trying to sound smarmy about it, we just wanted to finish the game healthy and we did.

And no Bigby, I wish I was a youngster. I just saw those stats in the Florence,AL paper. I'm so old  that I couldn't remember what the yardage was.lol

Eagleville wins this one. Mt Pleasant QB threw for over 300 yards against them, so their D is a bit lacking against the pass.

He did throw for a shade over 300. He also threw it 51 times, completed less than 50% and threw 3 picks. We also dropped at least 2 more we should've have caught. LHS was up 42-13 at the half so he threw it around alot. 

We've played really well offensively the last 3 weeks. Hope we can keep it up next week at Eagleville. Mt.Pleasant is loaded with athletes and I believe our trip to Ft.Campbell last week helped us prepare for the game tonight. Personnel and scheme wise, the two teams are alot alike. The first half tonight was probably the best we've played all year.

Now off to Eagleville next week. GO MUSTANGS!!!

The tires stayed aired up all season on the mTp band wagon for me..... Showed up on the T win or lose every game; even in style with a little bit of whine and cheese..... Oppps... Or is it wine there spelling bee champ?......lol.

Coming from a guy who has more excuses than anybody I've ever seen about why their team loses, you have very little credibility with anybody on here who knows football. Actually, I was 15 feet from that play and our TE had both hands under the ball. The ball NEVER hit the ground. It bounced off his hands and he grabbed it. Since you asked. But no, I haven't been on here complaining. Got anything else to add to the conversation?

That's why we're not on here constantly arguing with you. According to you, mTp has given the game away 5 times this year. Nobody has beaten them except for the refs in our game. Of course, anybody who saw the game knows that those penalties, not the two fumbles and INT on the fake punt, turned a 8-7 lead for mTp into a 29-8 deficit.

Honestly, if #5 and #10 both play, it'll be a good game that could go either way. Loretto is playing better on offense that they've played all year so mTp is gonna have to score quite a few points to win the game. So if #5 and #10 don't play, I don't think they'll have the playmakers to score enough.

I still wanna what happened to y'all after the WC game? Loretto fans ran an hide from the T for awhile.

Wasn't anything to say. We lost. Unlike Bigby, we don't get on here and whine about what happened. We lost all hope of winning when our QB got hurt. Game was 0-0 at the time and caused us to change our offense and defense since our backup QB is a starter on D.

Lol..... The boards are for talking about football which is exactly what I've been doing. Not for coming on here acting childish and calling names..... My post are relative to this game as describing Loretto's last game play. Which thanks to mTp turnovers which they themselves gave up (Loretto did not ever strip the ball, caught a pass any pee wee league could) and penalties that mTp caused themselves or did Loretto make them do that too..?..... lol.

 

I think by coach T's standards I am more than welcome to be on, comment on any thread I find some relativity with...... At least when I comment it's worth reading. They are talking about the games. Not crap one could find on any playground during elementary reccess time.

 

Maybe you should run on over to mTp and teach those boys to hang on to the ball or "catch passes that any pee wee league could.", then they might start winning these games they're "giving "away.

 

That's what, the 3rd game mTp lead at the half and ended up losing? I'll give them credit, mTp is extremely athletic and fun to watch but the fact they are losing these games in the 2nd half tells me that teams are caught off-guard by their speed and the system they run and after halftime opposing coaches and teams adjust. By the way, if you're close to the program #15 lets everybody know where the ball is going by his effort or lack of effort on each play. if the play is away from him, he never moves off the line. That's one thing that cost you on the fumble. Our DB was moving with the play and was there when the ball popped loose while #15 had never moved

My problem with your crap is that you have repeatedly talked about how Loretto did nothing to win the game with mTp. You're wrong on that count. The 1st fumble occurred when your QB was attempting to hand off and was hit by a LHS defender. Loretto's CB came up and recovered the fumble. on the interception, mTP mad a bad read and right before he was tackled tried to make a play. Loretto's S made a play on the ball and picked it off. We MADE plays. Your team had every opportunity to keep was out of the endzone and couldn't. Here we are in another thread' about another game that doesn't involve your team, and you're still around yapping about the loss.

Oh yeah, calling people JACK after trying to make a point is not funny unless you're Uncle SI and really gets old.

The "good luck to ya'll, you"ll need it ", crap was a quote from one of your fans Einstein. And basically doesn't mean essentially the same. I think its cocky that you have fans saying WC not only will win, but as some say, will win big and llmit Loretto to 7 points. There's a difference between being confident in your team and talking crap that, so far, the numbers of past games don't bear out. Again, safe travels if you choose to attend.

Lol...How do you say we're cocky but then basically say we don't have a chance because we lost to C'wood. That sounds overconfident to me. At least we beaten teams that have more than one win.

 

 

 

 NOWHERE in my post did I say ya'll don't have a chance to win. I expect it to be a really good game, and depending on turnovers, could go either way. You are saying we don't respect  the WC defense and I don't think there is a single post where a Loretto fan said that. So again, tell yourself whatever. Make things up. Who cares. The game will be played Friday and we'll root for our teams. Collinwood is a common opponent for us so its natural to compare scores. Same way with Perry Co. For all WC fans coming to the game, have a safe trip and hope both teams come out of the game healthy.

Loretto lost the first half....That is something Loretto had to do with..... Absolutely only the second half matters... But from the first half mTp pretty much gave up the first Loretto TD by giving them the ball (fumble) on the Tigers 25 yard line.

 

2nd half mTp receives kick off makes a decent little return then gets 3 penalties back to back to back penning them back 30 yards or better to make a first down forcing an 18 yard punt which gave the Mustangs another short field from the Tigers 32......Another easy scoring posistion for Loretto thanks to Tiger mistakes.

 

3rd Loretto TD set up from a bad decision from mTp QB to throw instead of going on and running with it, but throwing to a receiver on the Tiger 43 yrd. line covered by 3 DB's.... Easy pickings... Got ran back 20 yds. to the Tiger 23 yrd. line..... Setting up yet again short field advantage for the Mustangs.... Thanks to a Tiger mistake.

 

mTp pretty much gave Loretto 3 TD oppurtunities. Period. Helping Loretto to beat themselves..... Loretto only had to score ONCE from their side of the field on their own drive from a kickoff. 4th TD for Loretto.

 

I have done said. Loretto played ball. Congrats to them on that.... But mTp yet again beat themselves along with some help from the Stangs.... and that's just the truth of it.

 

The only way that Loretto will beat Wayne Co. Is for WC to give the Mustangs the same opportunities and mistakes that mTp gave them..... WC holds onto the ball and limits penalties?.... No way Loretto wins. JMO.

Just can't let it go can you. Loretto caused and took advantage of mTp mistakes. Its part of the game. You had your shot and you lost. Your special teams sucked and that cost you 2 TDs. The 3rd TD came when your best player had a punt/pass option and chose wrong. Deal with it. By the way, you're only score in the 1st half came on a 61 yd run. You didn't control the ball or the clock. So try again. Better yet, my advice, if you'll take it, is to let it go. You've got another game coming up to talk about don't you?

Loretto has played 2 teams with winning records and have lost both games. The teams that Loretto has beaten only have one win each.

I think it's pretty evenly matched all they across, gonna be a good game

Maybe it stands to reason that the 2 teams that beat Loretto have 9 wins and would beat everybody Wayne Co has played. Essentially, WC has played one more 2-2 team than us and lost to them. Against the 2 common opponents, WC is 1-1 and has outscored them 26-13. Loretto is 2-0 and outscored them 61-9 (if you count the 6 Perry Co starters scored on Loretto's B-team).

Doesn't matter. Whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game. Safe travels to the WC fans coming to LoTown. Should be a good game.

There is a good reason why 'face mask' breaks a rule and is penalized as 'unnecessary contact' in this contact sport we are talking of...... Using the head for leverage, it turns the head and wrenches the neck with very serious possibilities of doing permanent damage to the neck area/even paralysis. An arm around the neck pinning the head for leverage to take a player down can also wrench the neck with very serious possibilities of permanently damaging the player as well. Just unnecessary. Plays like that are just going to happen, but they should be called, penalized and try to be limited to not happen often nor promoted to. We all have been drilled/taught/promoted to tackle or take down from the waist down. As it properly should be.

 

Any other time I can agree with your statement 150%..... From head/neck down.... Get it on.... Nobody stands and cheers a squared up, solid, big hit/tackle on a QB more than I.

Alright, the QB for mTp stepped up in the pocket to throw. He got hit high and low and folded up. Happens all the time and should not have been called the other night. We get that you didn't like it but it was a clean, football play. Nobody from Loretto "wrenched" his neck or pinned his head for leaverage. That's a terrible statement to make when it is not what happened.

Of course I picked mTp over Loretto.... Duh?..... Picked Loretto over Collinwood.... And I am picking Wayne Co. Over Loretto.... Someone said on the Loretto/mTp thread Loretto had speed, and would be bigger and more physical than mTp...... I saw it pretty even both ways except speed going to mTp, with mTp beating themselves; yet again giving Loretto short feild to work with all night just as mTp has done with most all their competetion this year that beat them.

 

Wayne Co. Will be more physical.... WC just has to hang on to the ball to win Big. Loretto will have trouble scoring on the WC defense. Sorry. Just not diverse enough. And even you are admitting that with your complaints on play calling.

Doesn't sound like he was complaining. Just that he wants to see us pass more. Passing game seemed to work against mTp pretty well. Only threw 8 passes and completed 4 for 87 yards. If we average 20+ yards a completion, we're doing smething right.

they lost to lewis county and Lawrence county two decent teams.  they beat Collinwood, perry county who are both awful this year (no disrespect intended to either program) and should have gotten beat by MTP.  So I do not see the cause for the comment towards wayne county.  I think looking at schedules and competition of opponents I will go with the wildcats.  I just think they are gonna be the more physical and successful team.  I do think it will be low scoring though.

Cwood scored 7 and Pc scored 6 and held Mc to 0. Fayetteville only scored 10 on us so Wc will win

Collinwood scored 3 on Loretto and lost by 17. Wayne Co only managed 6 on Collinwood. Perry Co got 6 on Loretto's b-team by playing their starters. Loretto scored 41 in 3 quarters. So Loretto will win if we're comparing scores of common opponents.
