Talking to people in Lewis they have not been very happy with the defense the last two years. They said for years their defense was swarming and very difficult to move the ball against and the last two years with a new scheme-teams have been racking up yards and putting a lot of points on the scoreboard.

 

I have heard of controlling school boards, but I doubt the superintendent told him what plays to run. If that is the case, why is the next coach having success?

Have not heard that comment from LC people, seems like everyone likes the job Coach Patterson is doing!

Last 10 years it's LC 6 wins and FV 5 wins with 2 of the wins being the playoffs

Well if they don't work how about y'all try something crazy like calling a 5A or 6A school to fill that spot? And then let's see how much smack you talk preseason.

I'm sorry but Hohenwald's football field is not perfect or great. Its just a typical football field. If you want to see a real football field then go to Allen, Texas and see the Eagles' field. Now that's perfect.

Compared to a half baseball/half football, half grass/half dirt field it is perfect! Next to Giles County's field, it is pretty great for our area!!

I've watched the game film, and it looked as bad if not worse for y'all than in person. Physically dominated and ran by all night. EASY win for MC considering they certainly didn't play their best.....but they didn't have to against an inferior and very average team.

Fairview wins 26-6 Could of been worse, But that Middle School Coach Hughes (that nobody said would make it is the High School ranks) had mercy, Lewis never threatened Fairview at all. They just took a beating like I said yesterday. Lewis County was a "we once was " team. Nothing stood out to me as far as all this talent these Lewis County folk say they have.

What game were u at? The one I saw Fairview won 34-14 with Fairview scoring their last TD with under 2 min to play. I guess nothing stood out to u since u weren't there! lol

I don't remember talking about PC record last year or Lewis Countys for that matter. And if these records from previous years don't matter, why do all these Lewis County fans insist on talking about all that they done in the past? And LCs record may be 0-0 when they come to PC, but PCs will be 1-0. And yes IF we lose we could say its because we played up classifications, but WHEN you lose what will yalls excuse be?

Our players keep getting caught up in the mud on that baseball field! How is that excuse?

I wasn't planning on wasting my time posting on the 3A Boards over this match before it got here but with all this back and fourth I couldn't stop myself. From what I can tell this is just a argument between the past and the present. The bottom line is everything Lewis County has accomplished is in the past and what PC is accomplishing is in the present and not to far future. There is just way to much HYPE over this used to be team coming to play this here and now team. And im sure the Graham and Sparkman kids are good but if your banking on two players beating PC, I just hope there's not alot of money in that bank.

both teams looked very good! i can see lewis co. and lexington making deep runs in the playoffs. lexington is very talented and it looked like lewis co. is back after a ruff 2 yrs.

I love you man and Coach Sharp tooo but surely you cant piss down my back and tell me its raining and expect me not to know the difference. Somebody please post the years and scores to these games. I stand corrected stat-pack, LC did make the playoffs last year. However, I'm still not seeing why you think LC will do so well. A 3-8 season in which players were yelling at each other on the field and sidelines and were yelling back at coaches is hardly anything to brag about. They lost the only "player" they had (Nathan Couch, who actually is a freaking beast, but was unnoticed by a lot of people because of the record). The starting tailback quit during the playoff week. Honestly, if you're a player, could you look a guy in the eye and expect him to play as hard as he can for you and you play as hard as you can for him when he's quit on you at the utmost hour of need? Sounds like he needs a little of the "Longest Yard" treatment.

 

How many coaches have left LC recently? Spivey, Busby, and now McConnell, who was the DC. Where's it gonna come from now?

 

Giles, Page, and Spring Hill will only reload. Marshall can't be any worse than they were. LC can beat the 3 3A schools, and maybe 1 of the non-district games.

 

And as for blaming the coaches, I think that's a joke. Its not a secret who pulls the strings with the program in Lewis County. All creativity is squashed and they are required to do what they are told by the man on the top. So if you wanna blame somebody, I'd blame him. And Ronnie Carter.

 

I stand by my 4-6 prediction. No way will LC finish in the top two, but maybe they can get to 5-5 and hope for a wildcard. However, if by some miracle paradox of the universe you turn out to be right, I will eat my crow and sincerely apologize to you.

That may be why there is so much optimism is because of the new additions and defections to the coaching staff and players rosters. And as with the man on top having the last say, that's life

Heard that Coach Sharp was going to retire and that Scotty Duncan was the new head coach? Anyone confirm that?

 

My opinion of LC is that they won't do better than 4-6. Miss playoffs two years in a row. All 4 3A schools in District 12AA are screwed by new system anyway, and none will get in (meaning Fairview, Hickman Co, and East Hickman also). Overall record gets you in playoffs? What a joke. So that means a win over Richland or Red Boiling Springs means the same as beating Lawrence Co or Creekwood? Give me a break.

No, Coach Sharp is not retiring any time soon, Coach Duncan was hired as an assistant and thanks for your opinion on Lewis County.

So who do you all see that 1 or 2 losses coming from? Fairview will be loaded and will ans should beat you all. Giles would beat you with their freshman team. Spring Hill will stomp you again. Marshall is bringing back a ton of talent with more experience then you all have. So tell me who is going to be that 1-2 teams to beat the mighty LCHS.
