  1. Wow, how didn't we all think of this. So what your saying is that if red boiling springs would get out of that 1A region and challenge a few big boys there program would improve and be able to beat trousdale. And you are also implying that by GP playing better teams their players have become genetically enhanced over a period of time, allowing them to have superior size and stregth, almost like the Russians who live in the outer most northern climates. I see now. GP hasn't got the cream of the crop in north nashville where there school is conveniently located near those of hunters lane, maplewood, etc. They developed that size and speed by genetically enhancing their athletes due to extreme conditions..i.e. tough games. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> They don't stockpile players every year, they simply have built their players like a callice on the hand of the carpenter. Mr. Miagigo is their trainer, wax on wax off, sand the flool Danielson!

    GREAT POST /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  2. Having watched Goodpasture for 14 years and seen them twice the last two weeks. Camden does not have a chance. Goodpasture has the speed of the Riverdale team that we played several years ago. One of the best teams that I have ever seen on the high school level. That is why they play them...but I don't see this as even close.

Goodpasture by at least 4 scores. The only way that the score stays close is if Coach Martin decides to keep the public/private crown quiet and does not run it up. He had 1st and goal against CPA with 2" left in the 1st game 2 weeks ago and took a couple of knees. He could have laid a 5 spot on CPA that night.

    Coach Martin is a real class act /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  3. Hickman could beat Lewis Co., if they don't show up with right frame of mind. Good luck against the private schools. I think they are very beatable by both Lewis Co. and Camden if they play hard and play smart.

You are right, I'm more worried about HC this game than the first time Lewis County played them, they are a

very good team that is well coached, but first things first, LC has to take care of Richland or they will not have

    to worry about HC /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  4. 21-6 Lewis County wins, best defensive game I've seen LC play this year. radio said they held HC

    under 100 total offense /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Great Win, Congradulation Panthers , REGION CHAMPS

    PS: Welcome to 2A Hickman County /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

  5. My quotes are not racist and hit specific issues, that you evidently know nothing of, being the moron you are...........if you dont like them............ ? Oh well. Things change people change. You can kiss off............like that?

ddaddy, I think you got your answer, he's just negative about everything and everybody /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  6. Oh my bad isn' Lburg a 4a school with a top 10 quaterback and a top 10 receiver call them and ask what its like playing the mighty bulldogs. GO DAWGS

Looks like you got one thing right, Lawrenceburg is a 4 A school, but the rest of that statement is a little iffy, top 10 q-back and receiver /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  7. Haney, the point of the entire thread is "why isn't Hickman getting respect", the reason is because they don't play tough competition. If and when they do play sombody in the playoffs and they win then they will get some respect. Westview played and beat a 4A team in Henry County. That is why they are ranked where they are. Goodpasture is all ready playing up. They have had class A enrolment figures even before the multipier. My guess is they would probably fair better in 3A than having to face Alcoa every year.

My guess, by looking at their schedule and scores, goodpasture would probably fair pretty good

    in the OVC /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  8. Great job Tigers. Got a few guys back. Coach Graves went with a freshman qb and all underclass line tonight just to swap things up. Lewis scores on a blocked punt first series and scored two more times with a short field. Tigers held the Panthers to 7 in the second half. And before you guys get on here talking, LC starters stayed in until 4 minutes to go in the game and at the same time, Waverly put more subs in. 28-0, not too bad. Not a win, but not bad.

Waverly has struggled because of injuries all year, but going into tonight the teams they had played had lost a total of 4 games between them. Probably the toughest schedule in the state in AA.

But I hate to break it to LC, the best team we have played so far this year is Hickman County.

Papa, what game were you at? The subs came in on offense after LC scored to start the second half making it 28-0 and Coach Sharp had the second offense take a knee, not letting them score. by the way, Greve had 94 yards on only 8 carries, over 10 yards a carry. and don't hate breaking the news to us, we know how good HC is, and I take that as a pretty good omen, because because the last time you told LC how much better a team was, Camden 2005, LC won the regional title beating them 38-21 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  9. One more thing. I'll hold off comparing my school system to yours until Benny gets his high school SACS Accredited. You can visit the Tennessee Report Card website and find that Lewis County is one of the few school systems in Tennessee that continues to be unable or unwilling to seek SACS recognition. SACS is the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and recognition means that your kids are being better prepared for college than the kids in unaccredited systems. Need I say more? Just have a look. During a quick search, I could not find any school system in the state that is not accredited other than Lewis County! This is the same as Lewis hanging a sign in front of the school saying its kids are not being prepared for college. At least they are being prepared to play ball, I suppose. Then the rest of us can support them when they fail at Burger King and need surgery for their injuries from the "glory days."

    Tennessee Report Card

Big Guy, wrong again, I have attended the reception for the SACS accrediation for the High School and Elementary School, the intermediate school is going thru the prcoess as I type, maybe Mr. Pace needs to contact the state to update their site, now try again

  10. All I'm saying is that it is a sad day when no one cares about the good things happening in a coach's classroom. Letting a great teacher go because of athletics is wrong. Sports are meant to enhance a school, not take away from it. Ultimately, schools exist to educate all students. When you run off good teachers and replace them with guys who are "all football" you do harm to the school. I think we all had a teacher in school who was rarely in his room because he was off dealing with sports issues. Those guys don't deserve to call themselves teachers.

I will gladly send my child to a school that has an average athletics program but values education. It is far preferable to schools that replace great teachers with guys who are coaches first and teachers second.

No, what you were doing was looking for another reason to take a stab at LC, when all the time it was a

Richland fan questioning the adm., any time you want to compare LC school systems with WC's, we can do

    that too, now go away

  11. From looking at the Panther's schedule, this could be the toughest week of the 2007 campaign! Come on Howenwald...........no wonder yall get bounced every year in the 2nd round! Next year......hire a consultant to help you schedule teams that.........(listen to this) .....will make you better!!! The goal is not to go 10-0 in the regular season then take up equipment 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! This year's non-region foes are: Mt. Pleasant, Wayne County, Waverly, and Ezell-Harding. An all-star team from these 4 schools would make the playoffs in 1-A! Go ahead.......tell me all about the rivalry between Wayne County and Lewis County!.....or for that matter even Mt. Pleasant! There is no reason you guys don't play Giles County, Tullahoma, McNairy Central, Milan, Jackson Southside, or even Columbia. Step out of 2A for a mid season test. Otherwise, hand those cleats in after week 11! GO PANTHERS!! The ADVISOR is everywhere!!!

So what you are saying is if LC was playing someone else, they could get past Goodpasture, something 5A schools can not do?

Advisor............agree with you. The players would, but the coach would rather pad his stats...lol ! After this year I think LCHS will start a slow decline for the next few years. Don't blame the players , they play who is scheduled. In defense for the coaches, it makes an impressive resume.

I've been hearing about this slow decline for about 15 years now, now I am beginning to wonder if I will live to see

  12. This is the difference in the way you people think and the way normal people think. Lewis County could not care any less about the education of its kids, just as long as they get to the playoffs. Giles and other counties (I can speak for those of us in Wayne) would not dream of replacing administration and good quality teachers just to get football coaches. You people don't have your priorities straight, which is why so many stupid people are graduating from your school. Make football a part of your school, don't build your school around football. I would bet teachers are giving your kids passing grades just out of fear of retaliation. The next time we see Lewis will be at Burger King, asking us if we want fries with that!

Hey buddy, you might need to know where the poster is from before you start making jumping on Lewis County again, that is the most idiotic post I have ever read

  13. It was 2 stupid...and at least W/C throws the ball...L/C is 1 dementional run run run...yea yall will proly go undefeated durin the season becuz yalls region is weak as can be and then u go into the playoffs get 2 the 2cnd round then u get killed becuz yall rely 2 much on the run

According to the tennessean it was 4 int. with one returned for a TD

  14. Lewis County beat the 4 seed out of that region last year 8-7 in the playoffs. I don't think they hang with Goodpasture or CPA. CPA might be as good as Goodpasture this year. DCA and Ezell Harding aren't far behind.

Lewis County was a 2 seed last year so that means Fairview was a 3 seed, does not really matter,

but only one team could hang with goodpasture and they are state champions!
