Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes. Yesterday morning, a little before 6AM, my mother went to Heaven. Had COPD for awhile but now that fight is over. God called her home. Thanks again everyone. Means a lot.

Prayers for you and your family brother! A tough loss to endure at any point!

Proud of our kids, and the fact that nobody from either team went down with more than a cramp! Good game...we had a tip-drill pick that went to the 5 and a KO return TD, or we basically played to a standstill when I was seriously worried that we'd get run over. A'ville has a special talent in the backfield, eyes in the back of his head and wheels like a dragster...he'll give everyone they play fits trying to contain him!

Glad no one had anything but cramps too! Both teams played hard nosed ball and should be proud! Good luck the rest of the way! Maybe we can meet up come bball season TTwo!

Heard today that two linemen are out...we're screening cheerleaders to see if any secretly want to play football...we've got a couple who can do handsprings and backflips...wonder if they can catch!

Don’t you love it when the hits keep on coming! Hate that news for any kid brother! Prayers that no one gets injured tonight! Hope to meet up at halftime! Safe travels man!

I believe the trainer you are talking about is an actual employee at A'ville H.S. That sure would make for a long day to drive a kid from Selmer all the way to Scotts Hill and be back to Aville for work. Then have to drive back up there after school to pick the kid up and bring him back to Selmer.  Doesn't make a lot of sense unless this kid is Derrick Henry lol. And it's funny how the people from Mcnairy county only complain when it is a good player. Didn't you guys have a couple of kids who transferred to Corinth and Kossuth a few years ago and are excelling at those places? Instead of insinuating cheating from other programs who do things the right way, you need to ask yourselves, what is wrong with our own program and why do kids want to play at other programs and for other head coaches before they want to play at ours.

He doesn’t work there and hasn’t for a few years! Try harder, Selmer is doing the complaining not Adamsville!

The line is where most games are won or lost IMO , so it’s nice to have some size up front. I think the depth backfield with several guys that can tote will be nice as the season goes on as well. Won’t have to wear one RB out.

I’ll be keeping up with you guys like I do every year! Only 1 week a year I hope you guys don’t fair well! Lol

I hate to whine about injuries, but since you brought it up...If we could have gotten to this point with everyone healthy, I felt that we could sneak up on some good teams, win some games that we weren't supposed to, and be right there with almost everyone on our schedule. We actually had good depth at the skill positions this summer, but are now having to use kids in situations that they would never have been in otherwise. Last count was six starters out (maybe seven after a trip to the Dr. today), and just putting a team on the field where everyone knows their role is getting dicey. Hopefully we can give y'all a decent game, and maybe we can both get through it without losing anyone else. I'll (hopefully) be around to see the Adamsville/Scotts Hill game be meaningful again, but what really sucks is for the kids (especially Seniors) to miss games, or their season, as most of our injuries are not just bumps and bruises.

Let me know where and when...looking forward to meeting up!!!

Looking forward to meeting up Friday night at the game! I’m sure it will be a good game! I don’t see either team giving up in this one! Just time for the young guys to step up!

I been wondering if I was overhyping them in my head when I’m thinking they have a chance to be really good this year. Glad to hear someone thinking the same.

Last year was pretty much a two or three man show and they were really good! This year the ability to go over the top, hit crossing routes, swing the ball outside and two rb’s that can hit the hole or bounce it leads to a big playoff run! Those 3 monster lineman & rb that moved here from up north didn’t hurt either! Lexington May be the only team on the schedule that can play within 3 scores of them!! JMO

Hope you guys get the win. I always pull for the Cards if not playing Hardin or McNairy county. Hate to hear about injuries, y’all got several out?

Had five out against HC & a couple more banged up in the game! Hopefully we can get some starters back this week with it being a region game! I don’t see anyone coming close to beating HC during the regular season! Probably the best team I’ve seen them put on the field in a long time!!

I always pay attention to the Hardin Co./Adamsville game. It is one of the most interesting rivalries in West TN.

Yes it is! We have had  some slobber knocker’s with them winning quite a few of them and getting rolled in quite a few too! HC should never lose to anyone around here with the pool they have to draw from! I know our crew will fight to the end but I don’t think anyone around here will beat them this year! We know it’s a big gate $$ game for both of us! Just praying for a good game and no injuries! I’ll try to watch some of y’all’s game tonight before I leave for work!

Those Cards from Adamsville might be the team to beat in this region - Riverside and Adamsville are two fine programs at work.

We are young with only eight seniors this year! A big sophomore class has it’s potential to be very good! I believe if we can stay healthy it will be a heckava game between us at the end of the year! Good luck to you guys this week, we get to travel to Hardin County this Friday! We’ll have our hands full for sure!!
