  1. Livingston Academy's junior Mason Ramsey scored his 1000th point back in November and Sr brother, Logan Ramsey scored his 1000th Tuesday night. The only other brothers in L A history to do this are Michael and Richard Melton ( 1987 & 1993) The Melton brothers are the uncles of the Ramsey boys. Oh and another side note .. The Ramseys join their father, John (1979) on the list as well.

  2. ......... I fully agree, since LA is the team to beat therefore we all get on here and talk about them, even if it means raise a question about the coach. ...... but I do think its a valid question why he was so upset that night.

Let's see....(in my best David Letterman voice)

TOP TEN REASONS LA's COACH WAS UPSET....

No. 10 He forgot to use the promotion code to get free shipping on his online Christmas orders.

No. 9 There was no hospitality room at the game (He loves chicken wings).

No. 8 Postage stamps are 44 cents and he just can't afford to send all of you a card.

No. 7 Tiger Woods may lose some endorsement dollars.

No. 6 He heard that Kanye West wants to sing country music.

No. 5 The "pleather" covered foam on those benches @ DC is flat and uncomfortable.

No. 4 He still can't figure out the answer to "Why DID the chicken cross the road?"

No. 3 No one noticed that he had whitened his teeth.

No. 2 He's really gonna miss Paula Abdul when "Idol" starts back up.

and the no. 1 reason LA's Coach was upset.... He'd just found out there is no Santa Claus!!

OK OK... Seriously, is this all we have to discuss?? Who cares why LA's coach was upset???? Perhaps it was the foul language from the DC student section, or worse yet, the lack of concern about it from the school administrators, not to mention the shocked looks on the faces of DC parents and grandparents. Oh WAIT...there weren't any....The shocked looks were on the faces of LA's crowd. And please don't tell me "kids will be kids". Not one person on the DC side looked shocked...most smiled with with what appeared to be approval.

Yeah....LA is winning, so the coach is doing his job....and doing it well, which is probably why so many of you are on here.

Now back to what this topic is about -- LA vs Lebanon. Lebanon's # 4 is a good shooter, so is 22. They're a pretty good team. But LA held them off. Go HOG-EYE. I agree with an earlier post...when (and it will happen) LA puts 4 quarters together, they're gonna be great. Good luck against East Lit.

  3. OK....That reminded me ....

Who remembers the time a few years ago during the Mid-South tourney, when a player vomited on the court? There were no CHS custodians to be found, and the game was being delayed. One of the coaches finally took a mop and cleaned the floor himself! Too funny. Way to go Cavs! What were they gonna do? -- Rope the area off with more of that yellow crime tape??!!! :roflolk:

  4. Off topic but did LA play Ensworth Saturday? I have not found the results and was curious.

I don't think they played but I can't be positive. What about that King21?

Ensworth @ Livingston rescheduled for Jan. 23.

  5. Is this a LA thread or 8AA topic? If all we're gonna do is talk about Livingston (who deserves the talk) then we'll invite King21 in to continue filling up their water bottles and washing thier laundry.

Can we please hava a status report so far on who everyone else has played?

Cannnon beat Bledsoe County 73-50 something, and lost to Tullahoma by around 14 76-52. Those #'s aren't correct, but they should be close. The radio loses signal early in this small town!

It's 8AA. We've heard a little from Cannon and LA...what about the other district teams?

  6. I got to watch LA yesterday in the Melrose game. Melrose is definately a very good team. White Station and Melrose are both AAA and it'll be a shame for either team to not win a state championship with the talent they have. The AAA state champion will be either White Station or Melrose for sure. Adonis Thomas, #1, is only a Junior this year and is one of the best players in the country as he is ranked #11 in the 2011 recruiting class. Also, the PG, Chris Jones, is a Junior this year as well and ranked #36 according to rivals in the 2011 class. This team is loaded with talent and athletes and all 5 starters will sign D1 scholarships.

Nice post about Melrose. Probably all true. Just not sure it belongs on this this thread. :flower:
