Haywood Tomcats #1

It was a good game....it was over crowded because the crowd at the back door bumrushed in so a lot of people didnt pay to get in....maybe over a hundred or so.....the people were celebrating because we havent beaten bolivar in over 6 or 7 years.

Lets not forget about Lee Liggins he played last nite but isnt 100% he got a banged up knee....so he is seeing limited action.....remember he is a senior and averaged about 20 pts a game last season......so when he comes along i think Haywood will be back in the 'boro......thats if we dont get Mitchell in the sub-state.

Will Lee Liggin play tonite.....he didnt play the last two game is he injured or kicked off the team.....he is the 2nd best player on the team. He is a senior and need to step up.....cause Haywood back court is very young.....2 sophmores back there most of the time.

so bolivar back to recruiting again......!

haywood leading in the second 36-25 haywood has a young team 2 seniors and a lot of sophmores.....

haywood missing free throws, and missing easy layup shots.....i think haywood looked pass MLK to play bolivar......but MLK has a great team they will give bolivar some problems too.

IT was a great game.....the press didnt bother haywood and mitchell couldnt stop Singleton 24pts and Vernado 20pts so we back to state 3 years in a row. Tomcats are number.....maybe we get some respect now.

The Lady tomcats wins 45-44 over Gibson Co.....

I think that this tourney is going to come down to Union City and Haywood in the championship, i dont really know who is going to win but if Union City has a good shooting night they will be tough to handle....

Haywood should win this one...i dont think Union City will get pass Fayette-Ware in the second round.......UC beat FW earlier in the season by 2pts i see......so that should be a good game......lets go Haywood!!

Congrats Haywood!!!  This matchup will happen again because Fayette Ware will beat Union City in the second round of the regional tourney.

Haywood wins 78-73.....haywood was up 16 at one time Fayette-ware ties the game up but never led......lots of 3's Lee Liggins had 6 before halftime......their were about 11 3's from both teams.......good game Haywood plays saturday at Gibson County high school

Bolivar slow pace, close game got them beat by 17...almost 20.....and bolivar didnt shut Lee Liggins down....most of his shots he took he was wide open......they was rimming off.

maybe yall do match up better just not in my opinion. nobody really matchs up good with 2 6'5" gaurds. Lee Liggins could have been red hot and yall wouldnt have beat us by 20+. You really think one guy can take you from losin by 5 to blowin us out by 20? Why is it that everytime Bolivar shuts a player down he had an off night rather than just havin good defense played against him?? Not tryin to be cocky but their aint a team in the state that can beat us by 20 with the type of offense we play. ball control= low scoring close games.

Tomcatfan is right.....Haywood had players that hadnt practice with the team yet before thay played Jackson Northside......and lost by 25.....if they had time to practice and get in good basketball shape they would of beaten JNS then.....sometimes haywood have 4 players on the floor that played football...So it wasnt a fluke the better team won that nite.....maybe Haywood matches up against JNS better than Bolivar......look at it that way.....and plus if Lee Liggins would of been half way on the nite they played bolivar in brownsville we would of won by 20 or more......

It should be a good one.....but i think Haywood will pull this one off.....Haywood is playing better.

Haywood won over cordova, i didnt get the score.......they are 15-3 now.....we go to Fayette-Ware friday nite.
