I watched Ravenwood play on TV and i was NOT impressed!

If Volunteer can beat West this week then yes i would definatly put it on the top 5 list.

2002 Volunteer 27 Morristown East 22 ( Broke school record for most wins in a season and 1st victory ever over Morristown East)

2000 Volunteer 27 Cherokee 12

2003 Volunteer 28 Sullivan North 27 (1st victory over North in 10 years)

Beating DB definatly belongs on the list no matter what year it was

North looked pretty good against Volunteer and East lost to Crockett so im going to say....

I don't think Greeneway saw much action in pre-season scrimmage or the jamboree due to a pulled groin. He completed 13 of 19 for 151 yds and a TD

to 7 different receivers. Greeneville has not had an effective passing game in some time so it surely caught AC off guard. Mostly, Greeneville owes most of its success to executing their offensive scheme and avoiding costly penalties on both sides of the ball.

I believe the last time Greeneville had an effective passing game was in '02 when cody baugh was QB and i think the older greenway was a receiver...dang they were good that year they beat us pretty good that year i believe they beat DB that year too...

We didn't stand infront of them all night, we cheered right beside them. Is it wrong to come and cheer for a team?

 

Oh yeah, and about that post with the "Shane-Train". That kid he hurt was around 5'8 and 120lbs. Shoo, he sure showed that kid who was boss.

Maybe you guys should come and spraypaint some dicks on our field like you did a few years ago. Who's got class? Apparently not volunteer. Who got dominated after talking trash on here? I believe that'd be you guys.

Dicks on your field? What about all the dicks you painted on our field right before the cherokee volunteer game in '04? I believe the goal posts were painted on as well and some other stupid crap you put on our field & it seems like every year we had to repaint the dugouts and bathroom doors on the baseball field because someone dumb@$$ from rogersville paints CHEROKEE and F VHS all over the dugouts and bathroom doors. i dont remember doing anything to your alls field. So apparently cherokee doesnt have any class either. When you guys can beat a descent team besides poor ole rutledge by more than a TD then you can start talking your crap. Cherokee has nothing to brag about this year!

North played a good game ill give it to them they didnt make many mistakes and they just made more big plays than we did. North will win some games this year good luck the rest of the year.

As for Volunteer played a good game up until about late 3rd qtr then after that wheels kind of fell off. Couple of Fumbles killed us. All in all it was a pretty good game on both sides. Volunteer will definatly have to step up their game to play with West. Good Luck next week!

AYE man i dont know what the heck you are thinkin we didnt show anything in that scrimmage so obviously we have a heck of alot more then what you think we do...you may think your right but your wrong in so many ways out lineman are far from slow.....our backs are very good so i dont know who you think you are but untill you see north play an actual game and kick some ###### then i would shut my mouth because north is about to shut alot of ppl up!!!

Well it sounds like north just never shows anything in scrimmages or anything they just dont play hard so people will think they are no good...yeah right give me a break. I think everybody knows what north has this year and its not much. As far as your lineman your right they are no where near slow they're VERY slow and VERY out of shape and until north proves to me they're any good at all im going to keep thinking that they will be VERY bad this year. Cant wait to see yall prove me wrong...yeah right

Southfan was it with you and Brad Jeffers? Are you Brad Jeffers trying to make yourself look good or are you his dad or something? You seem to obsessed with Brad Jeffers. But you need to realize that no matter how good you think Jeffers is...theres a reason why Souths coach has Phillips at QB and not Jeffers and its because Souths coach KNOWS phillips is better than Jeffers and his opinion is all that matters so please and i think everyone would agree with me when i say this we've heard enough about Souths BACKUP QB Brad Jeffers!

What are you talking about? All i mean was mentioning Church Hill middle on a south thread was a no no i knew it was going to upset somebody and insulting the people in church hill by calling them wimpy was totally uncalled for and very immature so grow up!

listen to all the people who think volunteer is goin to beat north....im not sayin they wont beat north but the raiders have a better football team then everyone is seein right now...yes the raiders aren't doing to well in scrimmages and the jambaree wasn't too good but the raiders will be ready for the falcons...and i can't wait

EHS does not have "Nine Lives" and they can try to "Ride the storm out" but DB will "Keep Pushing" and I am sure both teams have some "Tough Guys"but EHS needs to have some "Variety Tonight" Friday with their offense but in the end EHS will be in some "Good Trouble" and then "Back on the road again" and back to "157 Riverside Avenue" after a 35-7 loss.

If Science Hill stumbles out of the gate with Central, SH is in for a long season! No way...I don't see it happening. I don't know what kind of points SH puts on the board, but I'll be surprised if Central has one touchdown.

 

Just my opinion

Well in my opinion Science Hill is no where near the team they were a year ago and central is better than a year ago so... in my opinion it will be a good game and i think central pulls off the upset

West has a pretty good team from what i saw in the jamboree. They should win the IMAC but they are definatly not as good as some of the West teams ive played against the passed few years (02-03) and even the 04 team i thought was bigger and faster. But good luck this season!

Here we go with the trash talkin. Never fails always somebody wanting to start stuff with someone else. I agree that the posting the entire 03-04 Church Hill middle schedule was a little too much and probably mentioning Church Hill period was a no no but my goodness man was "Wimpy Church Hill" necessary? Give me a break man GROW UP!!!

The wing-T is a very tough offense to learn on paper much less run in a game. My high school team ran a pure wing-T my junior and senior seasons. My junior season we won 5 games with it and my senior season we won 1 game with it. After those 2 seasons i realized to run the wing-T you need quick lineman and extremley quick backs. If you run it right its hard for a defense to read but running it right is very difficult. I wouldn't reccomend this type of offense to any team.

I will agree with topper TN High ran a very good wing-t.

Im taking South in this one. I dont think DB will be able to slow down Phillips. South wins it by 6 in OT!!!

I was very impressed with Volunteer they have really improved I look for them to finish about 3rd this year.

Boone looked descent at times but like you said they have a small line and it looks like they are a little lost without having Hicks in the backfield.

I know Cherokee played a lot of guys but they didnt impress me at all I look for them to have a down year.

Cocke. Co. didnt show me a whole lot. They looked like same ole cocke co. team from the past 2 or 3 seasons.

West from what i saw is the team to beat right now. That fullback they got is a bruiser!!! Their Defense will be tough to deal with.

I didnt get to see East Greeneville or Crockett so I dont know about them. Should be an interesting season. Good Luck to all

From what i saw North needs a lot of work. If they come to Church Hill and play like that Volunteer will win big! Volunteer played South tough in a scrimmage so North better get their heads on right!
