  1. This is no reward. It may seem odd to you but understand no matter how many days he attended anyone semester, he ONLY played a year of football at Glencliff as a freshman and this year at Hunters Lane. Period. He has played no other football or any sport for that matter during his time in high school. It may seem ridiculous to some that a student can make 5 D's and 1 F and still be eligible the next semester. It may even seem ridiculous the player might be 1 point above a F in any one of those classes, but RIDICULOUS is all it seems. That's not illegal nor is it a reward. IT IS THE RULE and we have been governed by TSSAA rules for a LONG time. I would love to think all kids make all A's and never miss a day of school and we would not have to worry about these rules, but the truth is, some of these rules keep some of our kids on the football fields and basketball courts and off the streets. Kids at EVERY school.
  2. He was NOT academically ineligible last year. He did NOT play last year, but he was NOT academically ineligible. That why it is important to know the details. And a person who attends less than 40 days of school in a semester is not necessarily doing it to gain an additional year of participation. Severe illness can cause a student to miss many days, etc. Beginning the semesters that he attended less than 40 days, he was academically eligible to play, so I don't think he decided to skip those semesters to save them for his last year.
  3. It is VERY important that you UNDERSTAND the rules ESPECIALLY before you report that someone is violating them. The TSSAA handbook is on its web site. It has be the same for a LONG time. Do not go on what somebody tells you there rules are. You have EIGHT semesters of eligibility. ONLY the 7th and 8th have to be played consecutively. If you fail to achieve the minimum requirements a semester, you have to sit out the next semester. There is NOTHING that says you lose that semester. You STILL have EIGHT semesters of athletic eligibility. Of course you have to meet the age requirement as well and this kid does. The Glencliff Coach did NOT desire to report Hunters Lane, others at Glencliff were interested in doing so. Those individuals NEEDED to know the rules before the put Hunters Lane out there in a negative light. Again KNOW what is in the rule book and KNOW what is on the kids OFFICIAL academic record. See it for yourself before claims like this are made. The Glenciliff coach is proud for this kid and all that he has done to turn around his situation. Be happy for him. He has done everything according to the rules as did Hunters Lane.
  4. Don't count Hunters Lane out yet! The Hunters Lane coaching staff did EVERYTHING by the book when this kid was rostered. You will see!
  5. 59 Hunters Lane players DID everything they were suppose to this year grade-wise, age-wise, semester-wise. I will tell you, I won't stand by without a fight for something one player inadvertently did wrong. Coach Campbell is a GREAT friend of mine. He did a noble thing by getting on the phone and turning this in. I LOVE the player that was found to be ineligible. He spends a LOT of time with me. He understands he's done, so he's punished. Punish the coach or coaches through suspensions for the remainder of the season if needed. Where the administrator or the counselor who failed to update the computer. PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, not the 26 seniors and the rest of the players. These boys have been working since last year for a chance a the BIG dance. I have been with my son, Erik Wisdom ALL summer running hills, pulling sleds, running through tires, pushing cars, etc. Now I have spent the last two days watching him and others cry their hearts out!!!! This team flat out proved they are the BEST team Coach Campbell has put on this field. What if Major League baseball made the San Francisco Giants forfeit ALL of their games for Barry Bonds choosing to use steriods? That is just non-sensible. This is NON-SENSIBLE.
  6. This situation has absolutely nothing to do with Erik Wisdom #7. Not sure where this originated. He is very much eligible to participate grade-wise, age-wise, and year-wise. This is the second time this year that someone has posted something about Wisdom putting him in a negative light ("he was kicked off the team" and now he's "ineligible"). He has legitimately had a GREAT year. No smoke and mirrors!
  7. Just a rumor, #7 Erik Wisdom was not dismissed from the team.
  8. Maplewood beat Hunters Lane fair and square. No doubt. Hunters Lane decided to pass 23 times in that game. In their last 3 games combined they passed 23 times. Our receivers had a lot more size than their DBs, so we tried to exploit that. After Erik Wisdom rushed 27 times for 163 yards and 1 TD, and Terry Ezell scored 2 TDs against Antioch, Wisdom only carried the ball 12 times against Maplewood. Maplewood defense is hardcore, no question about that, but I would have like to see Hunters Lane challenge them with the run as much as they did Antioch. Wisdom lined up in the slot a lot as opposed to the I-formation. I am a graduate of Maplewood High so I hope they go on to win it all. Hunters Lane will definitely rebound from this loss. Coach Campbell is still tops in my book. Look for Hunters Lane to win the region. I'm biased so I think we can win it all!!!
  9. Can I get a copy of that? My cameras were pointed at the other end of the floor at the time. If so, can you email me at ed.wisdom@vanderbilt.edu.
  10. I like the Thunder administrators Mike Williams, Merritt, and Kenny. I have tremendous respect for Tony Thompson and consider him a friend. We've talked on the phone, our families have sat down and ate dinner together, etc. The 16U team have kids on that team that I have coached before, some that I have coached since they were 5 and 6 years old. Kyle Upton, T.J. Whitlow, Marcus Jefferson, Carlos Holder, and 17's Martecius Reed are all like sons to me and are close friends to my son Erik. There's probably some I'm leaving off, sorry, you know where you stand with me. Kyle Upton is especially close to me. We go WAY back. These kids use to stay over my house anytime they wanted. I am still VERY close friends with the Whitlow's, Jefferson family, and Holders. We communicate and gather together to party and eat and do things outside of this basketball crap. The Uptons (his mother, grandmother, grandfather, brother, nephew, aunt, neice, etc.) are like family to me. They are still exceptional close to Erik's mother's family. Erik is friends with most all the Thunder players. The THUNDER has some first class people in their organization. However, some of what is done and said in the stands by some others around their organization about KIDS is intolerable. It is definitely not a reflection on ALL Thunder members in my perspective, but sometimes one bad apple tends to get them all labeled. I am a competitive guy, so I love some of the friendly trash talk that goes on, but MAN way too many times it gets taken to a PERSONAL level. Some close to the situation want me to name call, but I'm not going to stoop to others level. I have been in the field of computer technology for MANY years, trust me, it is easy to trace messages to a specific IP address (the exact computer). If you have the exact computer, then you can find what company that IP address belongs to. It's sad to find out where some of these messages come from. To many in the THUNDER organization I appreciate what you do. Keep up the good work.
  11. www.Unapproved Website will provide you the info you need regarding the players on middle tennessee teams that are being recruited. How nationally respected Rivals scout Jerry Meyer knows that the colleges are interested, I haven't a clue. But I believe what's on Rivals. D-I college coaches subscribe to it
  12. Okay, let's start by saying, I have NEVER hide behind AirForceOne. This is indeed Ed (Coach Eddie) Wisdom. There is no secret about that. So I hope you don't think you've rattled me by letting our viewers in on that little secret. Now let's see if you are going to be the MAN that you are, (that's right the MAN that you are) and provide the viewers some insight on who you are. If you can't do that then the viewers ought to realize you are as phony as the stuff you post out here on coach T. I have you so worked up because I posted some facts that you went out and started a NEW alias ED RYD DEZ NUTZ. But I am the one that is immature? I'm going to give you the opportunity to do it yourself, before I call you out, because I know who you are. You talk to me in my face posing as a friend, but trust me I have always known about the hate you put in the game. Those cats that you talk to tell me everything you've had to say before YOU decided to climb on Coach T and hide behind your 20 different names. Plus with the money you think I'm throwing out there, it didn't take much to drop a few dimes to find out who is behind these names. Let's examine a few of your theories... 1) I put McAdoo's family business out there in the streets about his injury and "how do I know".... "How do I know," My fiance' works on teeth EVERYDAY in her field. She cared enough about the kid that she was the first down there to care for the kid. I left the bench and went to his and her side while she tried desperately to reset the tooth. That's how much I (and my family) cared about the kid's well being. She contacted a couple of dentists immediately to see if there was anything they could do. 2) I brought the kid over from the Nashville Celtics that provoked the dirty foul... Wrong kid! The player who went up to block the shot was Kevin Giltner. He played along side McAdoo on the Tennessee Thunder last year, is school mates with Thunder's Scott Newton, still has good repore' with Thunder's coach Tony Thompson, and (I could be wrong) Kevin is friends with McAdoo. Tyler Cutter is the player you are mistaking talking about just to get the viewers riled up. And yes he played with Celtics last year while Erik and I were there. He was not in the play in which McAdoo got hurt. Or maybe he was, you tell me. Maybe I was seeing things. 3) Erik Wisdom is so garbage as a player was only picked up to play on the Ballerz Elite because of a coach/player deal to bring me in as a coach. Coach Mike Artis won National Championships (Real Deal on the Hill) without me. Why would he take such a bad player just to add me to his coaching roster and he was winning before I came along. Coach Artis, thanks for realizing I'm one heck of a coach. (I'd like to believe Coach Artis needed me so desparately that he would even take a no count player like Erik). We joined Midstate before we saw a single game or even a single practice. I had no clue who half the players were when the collaboration went down. And you know what, I JUST TOLD YOU Erik was playing with the Nashville Celtics, then the Southeast Elite, then he was not playing at all, and told him not to tell anyone what he was doing. I know how you haters are. You'd get on the phone and screw up a good thing like YOU always do. 4) I'm throwing out a WHOLE LOT of money just for Erik to play on the Ballerz Elite and THAT is the reason he is there... If that's what you believe then bring your son on over too, I'll pay for him to play. We were in the same organization, you collected the money then. I paid for Erik to play, no more. All other parents paid what I paid. So post what you will. But again, I'm pleased in your confidence in how far my money stretches, but I'm sorry The Ballerz don't NEED my money. Now if you want to keep spending your money at the horse races on a loser then go right ahead, I'm spending mine on the winner. EVERY YEAR. Who wants to travel all these places and LOSE.
  13. Erik Wisdom, son CONGRATULATIONS!!!! With a weekend that included top players from all over in the "King of the South" tournament, and MANY of the top players in the state in the AAU Substate, you have managed to get most of the attention on CoachT.com. Your name was featured more than any other player participating. E, I am glad you decided not to play travel baseball with Casey Atwood's Elite ball team this summer so you can be a thorn in the sides of these folks that hate you on the AAU circuit. Also E, as you read through all this garbage keep in mind these are the OPINIONS of those that choose to post negative stuff out here about you. I have yet to see one fact, but I am going to leave them with a few... These are the same folks that are ridiculing me saying I am the adult that is posting negative stuff about the kids. Yes it is true, he doesn't get to stay on the court ALL the time and take all the shots like yours does, so I guess the money you THINK I spending does not stretch as long as that crap you pull for your kids to be the next GREAT ONEs. Yes it is true, he spent time behind 4 senior guards on Hunters Lane team, all of which were All Region and led their team to the state. But you know he has nothing to prove to you.... You were the leading rusher as a freshman on the Hunters Lane freshman team with many 100 yard games, and with Jeremiah Crutcher and other senior running backs moving on the bigger and better things, watch out. Kids go pro everyday in something other than sports, yet with your 3-sport ability your chances at success are unlimited. Keep working out on the football field with your cousin and namesake Vanderbilt's Erik Davis (New England Patriot signee). Things are looking good. Keep the grades up, you already have a non-athletic full ride that dad's money is not going to have to pay for. FACTS (NOT OPINIONS)... He won the Charles Davis 3-point contest as an 8th grader competing against all ages and many top 3-point shooter. He averaged 19 points a game last year alongside Josh Henley for Hunters Lane freshmans (17-3). He led the team in 3-pointers. He led the team in free throw percentage. He led the team in steals. He helped lead two different schools to the city tournament in Middle School (Brick Church and Gramar) He helped lead Gramar to the City Championship. You'll say so what, they had Josh Henley and Dee Mason. Gramar did not make it to the city before he got there (with Dee Mason, Jeremy Young, Charles Brooks, John Moore, Terrence Holt) and did not make it to the city after he left. He was the high scorer in the championship game. He average 13 a game. He led the team in 3-pointers. He led the team in free throw percentage. He led the team in steals. He helped lead Brick Church to the Eastern Championship and the City Tournament. You'll say so what, they had Jamie Graham and Rashad Mason. Brick Church did not make it to the city before he got there and did not make it to the city after he left. Nor did they win the East. He started as a 7th grader at shooting guard. He averaged 10 a game. He didn't run to a winner, he went where he was zoned. He went to the Nationals with the Tennessee Thunder. we went 1-4 and the 1 game we won you complained that I had an alterior motive. I played Erik and Dee Miller too much. They both scored double digits and played tough defense. The next game Erik didn't play because of all of your complaints. We lost and went home the next day all because you wanted to hate on E. It was all about your kid and not about winning. E, kept on being E, I'll back all the haters off of ya. And the tape won't be a repeat of the same shots.
  14. Regarding the injury Michael McAdoo sustained in the game this weekend against the Midstate Ballerz 16U and some of the theories folks on CoachT have about the incident... Theory 1) I put McAdoo's family business out there in the streets about his injury and some of you questioned "how do I know? was I at the hospital".... "How do I know," My fiance' works on teeth EVERYDAY in her field. She cared enough about the kid that she was the first down fro mthe bleachers to attend to him. I left the bench and went to his and her side while she tried desperately to reset the tooth. That's how much I (and my family) cared about the kid's well being. She contacted a couple of dentists immediately to see if there was anything they could do. What I posted about the kid's injury is nothing more or less than you all would have seen on the Tennessean had he been hurt in a high school basketball game. As well I posted nothing more or less about statistics than you would see on the Tennessean. I wonder why you don't bash the Tennessean when they post such information. You act as if I posted the kid had AIDS... INTERNET HYPE! Theory 2) I brought the kid over from the Nashville Celtics that provoked the dirty foul... INTERNET HYPE!
  15. We played the allowable number based on AAU rules of out-of-state players. We did however get caught playing players believed to be from another planet.
  16. Primm played on the Ballerz Select in one game this weekend (Friday). He was unavailable after that. He's traveled with the Ballerz Elite on the showcase tournaments they have played in.
  17. I didn't post any family business on McAdoo. Everyone in the gym knows he lost a tooth. I posted best wishes to this kid. You guys read what you want to read.
  18. I am not hating on any player or any team. I am just the only Nashvillian that is not afraid to go at these Memphis teams. Memphis gets on these posts and talks trash about the middle Tennessee teams and everyone else in Nashville is too afraid to open there mouths and say anything. Memphis has everyone else in Middle Tennessee punk-ed out. You saw the posts. As far as Erik is concerned, “You right, You right” the stat line is not that impressive against the Thunder, but it is more like 4 minutes, 1 point, 4 assists, and 1 steal, and 1 turnover. He played point guard so I’ll take that for 4 minutes of play. But the stat line that is the most impressive is the W baby. And the 4 minutes was early in the game during a critical stretch. Make sure you know why he came out and didn’t go back in before you start running off at the mouth. It was not because he was playing bad against the Thunder, because he was handling the point. He played half the game in all other games this weekend with all the talent the Ballerz have. In 3 other games he averaged 5 assists and 8 points, and (2 turnovers the whole tournament). We are loaded with scorers so that is last thing he needs to worry about. But if this is who I think it is, I have the tape when he dropped 25 points in your face (5 threes). ANY tape you want to check out let me know. I haven’t hated on anyone. I post FACTS. But you have the hater in your camp sitting in the stands calling our kids gay and all that mess. And you know what, Erik can jump around from team to team because teams will take him. That’s called have a good repore. He’s been loved and respected by every coach that has coached him. And if you think it is because I’m throwing money out there, then maybe that’s because my money can stretch just that long. Erik has played games with one team this year. He hasn’t played a game with the Ballerz Select this year. But you know you through that out there like the Select are slouches or something. Our Select players were DOING players this tournament with only 5 players on the court. I could put him on that team so he could play all the time or a lot, or you know I could run my own organization, or coach my own team so he can be the superstar (ya heard that before). It is not an issue for me or Erik that he doesn’t start every game, or plays all the time, or scores 25 a game. He doesn’t have to been a superstar athlete to feel so self worth. That means every thing to you all. That’s why some of you turned down the offer to play on the Ballerz team, because “I ain’t gonna start”, “I ain’t gonna get to play much”, and now you are over there taking it on the chin. I am looking for Erik to be a winner in life, not a SUPERSTAR basketball player. I am not living through him and he is not trying to live up to some hype that I have put out there about him. And I don’t have to put other kids down just to feel like my son is on some throne. Anyway while others are spending there time working on there basketball skills, he’s in the weight room. HE IS A MONSTER on that football field. You’ll get a chance at him when he comes out of that backfield this year. Make sure you stay low. I ran two cameras all tournament long, and kept the books, and because I post what the tapes reveal, I’m hating? Post your address you I can send you a few copies. I’ll stick in a couple of free copies of when Erik broke you off proper in a few games. It is what it is. What part of any post our there is hating. You just hate that I posted a few facts.
  19. Demonte is playing with the 17U Thunder team and this weekend was a 16U tournament. They must have had the weekend off. He was there in attendance.
  20. My best goes out to Michael McAdoo. I LOVE this kid. I hope he is doing well. (He lost a tooth, and had another pushed up into his gum). His 3 blocked shots were huge (on 6'2" and under players though), but he played most of the game and had only 2 points on 2 free throws (0-for-6 from the field) and 3 rebounds. Marcus Jefferson and Scott Newman was definitely the dominate forces in the game against the Elite. Kyle Upton played VERY well. These two teams still managed 76 and 73 points each. OFFENSE was not an issue. The defense of the Elite on the wings was apprehensive. The Elite big men blocked the Thunder's big men's shots 5 or 6 times. Scotty Hopson played point guard the first half. He was moved out so we could get a good look at the match up between Latavius Williams and McAdoo. Hopson did not look to score during that stretch. How many dunks did Williams and Hopson get? I got tired of counting. Understand I'm not knocking anybody. EVERYONE played as hard as they could, on BOTH sides.
  21. The Midstate Ballerz Select were missing several players this weekend, but took Team Memphis/Memphis Magic to overtime while having only 5 players. All 5 players had 4 fouls each and gave up some easy baskets as a result, eventually losing the ballgame. Good job Select!!!
  22. Because Scotty Hopson is such a great player good accomplishments from other teammates go unnoticed. I can't say that anyone player played a bad tournament. I think they all played well, but certainly Tyshawn Edmondson efforts should not go unnoticed. He dropped 26 points twice in two back to back games for the Ballerz. he was stroking the 3 and had many dunks
  23. littlerock we do have a purpose everytime we step foot on the court regardless of what tournament we play in, but you know if we fall short of winning it all in any one tournament, we still feel as if we have accomplished a great deal. We make no guarantees about wins and losses because everyone has seen some great teams fall, but one promise we do make is that we are going to get these kids in front of the right people (college coaches and scouts) to assure them every opportunity to play on the next level. And you know when we get feedback from those people we are getting a true assessment of our kids chances to make it to the next level. We don't have to feed into all of the critics that sit in the stands and criticize our kids and throw personal jabs at them because we have a different focus in mind. We have put Josh Sain, Deveyon Hunter, and Juwan Long in front of the right people at the 17 year old age group. As well we have done the same at the 16's with Scotty Hopson, Latavius Williams, Tyrone Caldwell, Josh Henley, Tyshawn Edmondson, Rashawn Walker, Kevin Giltner, and Tyler Cutter. All have caught the eyes of mid-majors and up. Not every organization can say the same.
  24. Also, go to www.Unapproved Website and check out the fact that Texas is VERY interested in Ballerz Scotty Hopson and Latavius Williams. Clemson and Mississippi State are among others interested in Hopson. Congrats to both.
