  1. check out the new GIF image that i have

If you look at that on youtube you can actually hear some parents calling for a card because the player doing the flip had hit the kid in the face on purpose!!! The kid who gets hit actually shakes it off and takes the same position when they retake the throw.

  2. Well after most teams have had a game or two:

Ravenwood have started of strong with two good wins, an easy first victory and then a win against last years state champion Father Ryan.....Can they keep it going against Hendersonville?

Brentwood (still unbeaten since May 2007!) 5-0 win in their first game of the season, is it normal service resumed

Centennial win over Franklin already can they keep it going?

Indy beats Page couple of days until their next game, certainly are going to have to score some goals this season

Franklin, one of the best coaches in the state at the helm will surely have them bouncing back in their next game

  3. A little surprised with this. Nothing against Page but would have expected a larger margin in favor of Independence. Believe they're pretty young but thought they were pretty loaded. Good for Page for playing them tough!

We were pleased with the way the game went, the stuff we have worked on so far in practice , defensive shape and set plays mainly was very good. Page came out and played hard they will give a lot of teams good games this year. We moved a lot of people around after about 20 minutes and were very pleased to get a 80 minute game from the players.

Lots of work still to do before the games that mean something come along but quite optimistic after last night.

  4. Centennial - lost a couple of good players from last year, Tyson is hurt for the season and not sure about the status of Ryan Bristol in goal. Will be strong and well prepared with one of the best coaches in the state

Brentwood - Lost maybe the best senior class in Tennessee, 5 of them playing Div 1 soccer now! Time to rebuild maybe, need to replace the spine of the team from last year. but I am sure they will still be ranked in the top 20 come the end of the season.

Franklin - Maybe 8 seniors graduated who started last season, junior class is large and will need to push the team onwards

Indy - Lost a few good players who stepped upto the plate when needed, look to be young this season but the younger guys are very talented.

Ravenwood - Could be a surprise this season, didnt do very well last year and need some players to lead the team on the field.

  5. Our schedule:

Timed 2 mile: Kids must make it under 12 minutes--I am worried that some will not make it.

Small-sided games: I think it is the best way to determine the players' abilities because they get maximum touches on the ball.

What happens to the players who dont make the 2 mile run time.

  6. what about MTHF the home school team they were good last year they tied independence. they only lost 4 player from last year 1 starter. this year they play franklin,cpa,ravenwood,jp2,independence,farragat they should be ranked too.

The game against Independence was called due to weather before half time.

  7. Overall a pretty good soccer weekend, cold and the fields could have a been better prepared.

u-18: KFC dominated everybody scored lots of goals all weekend, good luck to all those u-18 boys as they continue there soccer playing at the college level.

u-17: The two finalists from last year were the two best teams this year and made the Final again, pretty poor call for the PK in the State final, FC Alliance worthy champions.

u-16: KFC second last year win it all this year. 3-0 up at the half, finished 4-3. Brentwood worthy finalists.

u-15: Surprised some people I am sure Brentwood State Champions, Midsouth finalists.

u-14: Brentwood the Region 3 PL champs take first place.

    Knoxville Crush two State Champions

Brentwood two State Champions and teams in 80% of the finals

    FC Alliance one State Champion

  8. Division 1 State Tournament this upcoming weekend, who takes the gold medals:

u-18: KFC Liverpool will be favourites, some other good teams involved who will be trying to get a State championship before finishing Travel soccer.

u-17: Usual suspects compete again, FC Alliance (East TN Select), BWSC Elite (TNFC 92) and East Ridge. Gryphons, HFC have been missing for a year or two and Brentwood Premier are at the big dance for the first time.

u-16: Can the Rush win another State tournament, KFC have been strong all Fall and the Brentwood Premier didnt get a goal scored on them all State League.

u-15: Kaos are the team to beat, R3PL champions and current State Champions. FC Alliance (Little Brazil) Brentwood Elite and TNFC will all be looking to compete.

u-14: Brentwood Premier are looking strong, Rush, Lobo's, FC Alliance and BW Select could compete

  9. Memphis Gryphons should finish top of the State league. Could be anybody else really to make up the next three teams, the State website has the results but not sure how upto date it is. TN United are out of it, East Ridge and Nike Rush have been there every year.

Brentwood 92 Elite and Allance 92 will be the teams to beat in the State Tournament.
