  1. I wanted to start a thread about anything 11AAA - comments, details, dates and times of games being made up, etc.

There are some good matchups this week that will go towards deciding seedings for the district tourney next month.

Brentwood-Centennial is a good one on Tuesday. I bet Brentwood will be fired up to avenge the upset loss they had to the Cougars last year. Brentwood wins in a "closer than the experts think" 2-1 nailbiter.

Centennial is a good team, wasnt at the game anybody who was - any reports. A 1-0 win for Brentwood

Indy-Overton. Indy will continue their winning ways 2-0 setting up a match on Thursday. Indy wins 1-0, game was not very close, eagles hit the woodwork at least 4 times, did everything but score!

Franklin-Indy. This should be a fun one with the extremely up and down unpredictable Franklin. Gotta go with Indy 3-2 just because they have been way more consistent to this point.

Overton-Brentwood- Overton lost too much from last year to tie Brentwood like they did last year. Brentwood rolls 4-0. Overton keeper was the best player on the field against Indy and against Franklin in the playoffs last year

What do players, fans, etc. think about these upcoming matches this week?

Also, anybody got info on when Franklin-Overton and Ravenwood-Indy are being made up?

Ravenwood v Indy maybe on Friday April 25th.

  2. uhh im sorry they beat TN high 2-1, what happened there...I reffed a TN high game and they are about as good as crockett so pick your battles son. plus i just saw south and central play, sorry but DB stands no chance and your also forgetting Science Hill is in that district.

Well it looks like you may have been a little off in your assesment of DB, looks like they are doing very well and some would say are the favourites in the NE this season.....

South have struggled losing to Central, Science hill and Morristown West last night 3-0 and play Oak Ridge tonight.

  3. Since we are already about halfway through the season as far as games played, (I know a lot of the games have been out of district so far), how would you rank the teams up to this point and how do you think they will finish the season?

    Right now

    1. Brentwood

    2. Independence

    3. Ravenwood

    4. Centennial

    5. Franklin

    6. Overton

    7. Hillsboro

    8. Hillwood

I think Centennial will be under rated by a few teams this year and will continue to get good results. That have some very good players, they work hard for each other and have one of the best coaches in the state.

  4. Independence has high hopes after setting a school record for wins with a 13-6-2 record last season.

Goalie Chandler Farmer posted shutouts in the Eagles??™ first four soccer games this season. He??™s getting lots of help from defenders Nick Dykes and James Collings.

Coach Josh Phillips calls midfielder Ben Gaines, a skilled ballhandler and playmaker, one of the top soccer players in Middle Tennessee. Independence returns eight starters.

    Brentwood

Brentwood, powered by five college signees, figures to be the team to beat in District 11-AAA. The Bruins return eight starters from last year??™s state semifinalists.

Brentwood is a veteran team with eight seniors, but it was sophomore Nick DeSalvatore who led the way with three goals in a season-opening win over Clarksville.

    Ravenwood

Clay Watson, an assistant the past two seasons, succeeds Charlie West as Ravenwood??™s coach. He inherits four returning starters and 12 upperclassmen, including eight juniors, from last year??™s 8-3-3 team.

Central defender Max Schnuck and striker Cody Christopherson will lead the way for the Raptors, who hope to surprise some teams by the end of the season.

    Franklin

Franklin has 10 travel-team players on its roster, more than it had last season, and coach Steve Parker hopes that translates into more wins.

Goalkeeper John Shaw made a career-high 20 saves in a 1-0 win over Ravenwood in the opener, but the Rebels??™ back line needs to improve after allowing eight goals in the next two games.

Co-captains Alex McCubben and Alex Booth will lead the way for Franklin.

    Centennial

Center back Brennan Scott, an East Tennessee State signee, is one of eight returning starters for Centennial. The senior scored the winning goal in a 1-0 upset of Brentwood last year.

Left back James Doran, who has committed to Tennessee Wesleyan, is another talented player on the Cougars??™ veteran back line along with Justin Kyle and Grant Scoble.

Centennial has two talented sophomore midfielders in Tyson Adkinson and Jerry Orantiz. Adkinson is on Tennessee??™s Olympic development team, and Orantiz is a foreign exchange student from Mexico.

    Battle Ground Academy

Center midfielder Stephen Morrissey, a South Carolina signee, and seven other starters return for Battle Ground Academy, which went 9-5-2 last year.

The Wildcats boast a quick lineup, but they only have four seniors. Forward Jackson Ryden, center back Jordan Fraley and goalkeeper Ryan Bristol should play key roles.

    Brentwood Academy

Brentwood Academy probably will miss goalkeeper Turner Reily, who graduated after setting a school record with eight shutouts last season.

Forward Zach Langen, who has committed with Lipscomb, and defender John Reagan Moore will lead the way for the Eagles.

BA boasts a strong midfield with Andrew Knestrick, Nick Bryson and Jonathan Dresch. The Eagles return seven starters from last year??™s 5-6-5 team.

    Fairview

Jason Loudon, a former goalkeeper at Marietta (Ga.) High School, will try to build a defensive foundation in his first year as coach at Fairview. He put a great emphasis on offseason conditioning for his young team that has only two upperclassmen.

Captain Curtis Hand, midfielder Luke Cundari, strikers Caleb Duke and Tyler Emler and goalkeeper Jared Hill should play important roles.

    Page

Page returns 10 starters from last year??™s 6-8-1 team.

Second-year coach Nathan Clapp said there was too much infighting in 2007 and hopes to develop better chemistry this season.

Tommy Liddell and Taylor Lankford, the team??™s top scorers last spring, will lead the offense. Goalkeeper Steve Brown, defender Joseph Kelly and midfielder Matt Brown will have a lot to say about the team??™s success in District 11-A/AA.

  5. I wont argue that you dont have good players, Geno might be the best sophmore around, but i would be suprised if you got past sullivan south, their Defense is the strongest ive seen in years and josh wood is probably the most physical striker in Tennessee but best of luck

I am not with DB, but I agree that Geno could be one of the best Sophmores in the State. South Defense I am sure will be strong and Josh Wood is a big physical striker.

South plays DB toward the end of April so I am sure both teams will be hitting their peak at that time of the season. DB attending the tournament this weekend in SC will really help them, Science Hill playing in Franklin this past weekend will have helped them, playing better, faster teams who put higher pressure all over the field can only get a team better.

  6. uhh im sorry they beat TN high 2-1, what happened there...I reffed a TN high game and they are about as good as crockett so pick your battles son. plus i just saw south and central play, sorry but DB stands no chance and your also forgetting Science Hill is in that district.

DB bat Morriston East 4-0 last night and have some very good players. I think they will win the district or be top two at least. I doubt South or central will challenge either DB or Science Hill.

  7. The good thing is they have two and half weeks before thier next game, but it is pretty much, roll, sand and seed.

We have been at the field for about 6 1/2 hours today, rolled and about 200lb of seed has been put on the top field, we should have sand on it in the next day or two. There is no scheduled game on it for about 16 days so we are hopefull. The bottom field is not in that bad a shape now that it has been rolled.

  8. dutch fork has had some great teams in the past...top of the country good..and dobyns-bennet is very weak this year..one of the weaker teams in their conference

Dobyns Bennett will not be weak this year, they have a very good chance of winning their district.

  9. They play for the Camp Forests 92 D1 team, I also play on the team. We made it to the state semi-finals last year in the D1 league

Camp Forest made it out of the initial East Division in the State league into the 2nd round games. They never made it out of the State league to compete in the State tournament.

  10. i think dylan has more speed than the regular sweeper(zach thompson) thats probably why

plus zach is a tough kid so has strong has he is zach should be a better stopper

yes dylan would be more effective in the middle but the tall indian kid and javier #9 are playing awesome so they need him more in the back

not to mention the club programs in our area have gotten alot better - Who do they play for?

  11. coffee co ryan anderson

shelbyville dylan reed, joey jackson and zach thopson

I thought the Shelbyville boys played well this weekend at the Independence tournament, I think Joey Jackson plays up top and Dylan reed plays sweeper??? If it is Dylan reed at sweeper I thought he was more effective last season in the midfield.
